Safer to live in: The Cabin in Season 2 or the Moter Inn in Season 1
Which place would be safer to live in in a apocalypse? The Moter Inn in Season 1 or The Cabin in Season 2?

If we're talking at face-value, I'd say the cabin
Isolated, decently sized but easy enough to defend, not too much of an attention-getter, plus it looks pretty cozy
The motor in seems like it would be more of a high traffic area in comparison, not to mention that it's located in the middle of a town, and would probably be more sought after by other survivors since it could fit more people in it than a cabin could
If Carver or his group isn't involved with anything, then definitely the Cabin. It's in the middle of the forest and very isolated so there wouldn't be much problem with outsiders, probably would be harder to find supplies though but that's pretty much everywhere after about 2 years into the apocalypse. I think the motor inn would be especially dangerous considering it gets a lot of bandit attacks :P
Definitely the cabin. Secluded area, surrounded by a forest, river for fishing, it's an ideal spot.
Gotta go with The Motor Inn. The cabin, although very isolated, can easily be snuck up on, in any direction. While The Motor Inn had fences, and only one way in.
The Cabin was fine, the only problem was Carver
The cabin because it's out in the woods, and has a water supply, a river nearby for fishing and the woods themselves for hunting or setting up snares, and some open space around the cabin to plant some food too. Also building a fence might make it a little more secure so walkers can't go straight up and break in.
Just, you know, remember to lock the doors before you go out to prevent unwanted Carvers stepping in and all is well ^_^
Nice thread. As Brenda said the Motor Inn was pretty vulnerable and open to attacks. The Cabin was deep in the sticks in butt fuck no where
I would say the cabin.
The cabin was isolated, and there was fresh water and fresh game surrounding it.
The only thing it lacked was walls.
If Lee had survived, and provided this had been an option, I'd have had him suggest the group head back to the cabin.
And after arriving there, I would've had him set the group to work at building a wooden wall around the cabin and the shed.
And given that it was located in the middle of a forest, wood would obviously not be an issue.
After the wall had been completed, I would then have a well dug, so that fresh water could be obtained, without having to go outside the compound.
Makes me wish that this had all been an option.
And those are the type of options that I'd love to see in Season 3.
I would say the cabin, it's out in the middle of nowhere, but I would fortify it too, just in case.
The Cabin is hard to fortify and easy to be taken in the middle of the night. I would say the Motor Inn.
Due to the seclusion of the cabin, I would say that's safer...the motor inn was barely fortified...those bandits busted right in and a herd would do the same should one have come along. While the the cabin could just as easily be taken over, it's out in the middle of the woods, the odds are better
The cabin of course.
