I think episode 3 should have been stretched into two episodes and episode 4 and 5 condensed into one. Mainly because we were in Carver's camp for a total of one episode, and to me, that was not enough time to 1) develop Carver into a worthy antagontist and 2) give the player time to feel desperate about the situation. Perhaps the same amount of people die, but in different and better ways, and the harsh environment of Howe's would have sunk in and made for a more coherent story than the aimless wandering of episode 4.
Other than that, my main complaint was that the ending of season 2 only depended on one decision, instead of being a result of all other choices previous. For example, you're held accountable for your actions in Episode 4/5 of Season 1 through who decides to help you save Clementine and how Kenny/Ben will leave the group, and your reasons for Clementine to shoot/leave you will change. In Episode 5 of Season 2 however, nothing really changes no matter what your previous actions were. It disregards all of that by putting all the importance on one climactic decision, and that wasn't satisfying to me.
I think they should've spent more time at Carver's too. If not a whole 2 episodes, they at least shouldn't have left Howe's until like the second half of ep.4
And I agree that previous choices should've affected the final fight and that none of the choices had any lasting meaning throughout the season.

I agree. Season 2 missed the mark in many points, including detective and searching aspects of the game. In Season 1, they really pushed our Lee to find the clues to things (Who's giving the bandits the supplies, getting the train to work etc) whilst Clem is a child she is much smarter and more resourceful than an average child. Season 2 lacked any fun interactive things. During the game, I became increasingly frustrated with many of the characters and eventually did not care for their health or what happened to them, Sarah in particular was annoying. Season 1 I felt attached to every single character and feared for their lives. In Season 2 it felt empty and there was no character development. Deaths like Nicks were incredibly disappointing and felt like they were put there just to get rid of the character. Nothing pulled with my heart strings except for the last episode and when Clem reunites with Kenny, and even then I felt like Kenny coming back was too forced and unnecessary. Carver also should have remained alive, as he was an opportunity that went down the drain; as is many other characters in Season 2. In my opinion, it was too rushed and unfinished. I hope we get a DLC before Season 3 because Season 2 has still left me down in the dirt, wondering what the hell happened. Season 1 was a masterpiece and nothing can touch it in ANY aspect.
I know it sounds pessimistic but I honestly feel disappointed by S2. It's just that S1 was so incredibly good I expected more, but what we got was a clusterfuck.
I loved all the episodes and was really happy with the way Season 2 went and I had no complaints and I didn't think there was bad writing.
… more Until I came on the forums.
You guys complain a lot which made me think: "Hey! Season 2 was crap after episode 2."
So, in my opinion I love Season 2 but I think it was just the way they treated the characters that made it seem bad.
I don't think that's true. Rebecca honestly came off as a stand-off and selfish type of person. But in the apocalypse, being self-indulgent doesn't hurt. You have to look after yourself.
Well; considering the circumstances and the emotional trauma she has seen, it is not very surprising. Clementine is an able bodied individual who meets the intelligence level of adults.

Season 2 had its flaws but it was still better written than the TV show could ever be
I would agree with this to a point, i mean early TWDS was good, when it had Shane, but when they lost Shane, it went downhill.

I really think the only best episode in that entire season was episode 2. Which coincidentally came out on my birthday.
