Personally I'm excited for this. Michonne is my favorite character from the show. I do have some hesitations since I've never read the comic… mores and don't know her storyline there, and her personality seems to be pretty established so I don't know how much player choice is going to affect this. Still, for me they couldn't have picked a better character to follow.

Slightly disappointed because I haven't got anywhere near that far in the comics (end of Vol 2, reading very slowly) and now I feel like I'l… morel have to do so so I can play this. The mini series concept is nice and I don't mind something self contained but I would have much preferred something tied to the game characters. Kenny between Season 1 and Season 2, what happened to the game Lily (since she's been defined as a different character) a story with the 400 Days characters expanding of what happened to them before and after the store fell or the like. This really just seems like something to attract specific fans outside the games to me.
And why on Earth does this need to be DLC tied to Season 2? At least 400 Days made sense that way.
arent they the same person? i havent read the comics but im guessing that telltale cant change the history of comics or tv series. i live in portugal so geting that stuff is kind hard.
They are in the core idea but not fully tv-series has a changed version while comic has a different version with core idea in mind but overall they are gonna follow a part in the comic series where she disappears out of nowhere as a loner of sorts so its gonna follow that as a mini-series plot

As much as I hate to say it, that probably just means that the mini-series is a DLC for S2, so you'll need the base game (the first episode of a Telltale series counts as the base game) in order to play it.

Well I've heard of her, put it that way, but I don't know if I'd be required to know about her properly to actually play the mini series. I mean I only have the first 48 issues of WD and I haven't even read all of those yet, and they're talking about #125 to #139 here.
We still could possibly see someone from from Season 2. The real question I need answered is where does Michonne's "gap" correlate with Season 2's timeline. I'm sure the forums is good for answering this.

actually for fans of the original series this is good they wont know whats gonna happen in the series since if they have not seen the comics they wont know about michonne they will learn her character as they play the mini-series its pretty good for telltale walking dead fans too i would say

Michonne's 'gap' spans over a 2 year period in the comic series, but it's not made clear when she went off by herself.
I'm going to try not to spoil anything major the best I can: Michonne makes her leave following a war/battle between a few communities. That war/battle occurs around the same time S2 of the game takes place. So at the minimum, this story can take place at any time during S2; all episodes are fair game and fit the general timeline.

They should've done a Lilly mini series. A redemption story arc or something would have worked brilliantly with her.
But with this, as Tewu… moredin has said above, it's only really a treat for the comic fans as we'll find out what happened in that time.
