We still could possibly see someone from from Season 2. The real question I need answered is where does Michonne's "gap" correlate with Season 2's timeline. I'm sure the forums is good for answering this.
I don't think TellTale is out of ideas, though there is only so many ideas you can do with an established zombie... I mean, walker universe. I think TellTale can only do so much without passing the comics timeline. If TellTale wanted to, they could always go back to the beginning and do a new story with a new cast in a new location. Until that time comes, I see TellTale doing non-Clementine game-comic crossovers.
i have a feeling Telltale would prefer to do more tie-ins in the future and this mini series looks like a pet project, it is great news for … moretv fans and comic book fans but not great if you liked the original telltale created characters.

Michonne's 'gap' spans over a 2 year period in the comic series, but it's not made clear when she went off by herself.
I'm going to try n… moreot to spoil anything major the best I can: Michonne makes her leave following a war/battle between a few communities. That war/battle occurs around the same time S2 of the game takes place. So at the minimum, this story can take place at any time during S2; all episodes are fair game and fit the general timeline.
Look man, I wanted all those characters for the DLC, Including Flying Jetpack Panda from his brief cameo in episode nothing, But I prefer Michonne, SOOOO much more.

As a big fan of the comics, I am extremely hype to see Michonne. Hopefully, Telltale decides to more character-based miniseries like this in the future because there's a lot of characters I would like to know more about.
I'm gonna hold out for a Rick Grimes appearance. I really wanna see that beautiful bastard in this game.
I'm guessing that certain things that Clementine did in Season Two will have an effect in this Mini-Series. Much like with Season One and 400 Days.
Maybe a couple of things Michonne will do in the Mini-Series will impact Season Three?
Since I know that Michonne will not die or be seriously hurt this will be my most evil role playing in a TT game if they let me. That could be interesting.

They do have the right to DISCUSS, which isn't whining and crying about the announcement not being what they wanted and criticizing the product because of it. The game could be shit of course, and once its out people can scream to the heavens how trash it is, but right now they have nothing except "I don't like Michonne" which is fine, but at least wait till a trailer is out to start complaining. It's just like Storymode all over again.

Telltale most of the time proves people wrong, so I don't have any doubts this will be a good one.

I think Clementine prefers a gun, especially since she lacks in close combat.
