think it could have something to do with the "Fear the Walking Dead" show that's coming on this summer? since Robert Kirkman will be there, it's a possibility... I'm hoping it's something more related to the game story though. there are lots of options to choose from to do another DLC from the game story: Kenny's adventure after Savannah, Clem's adventure after Savannah, someone inside Carver's camp at the Howe's, Luke/Nick/Pete's backstory before the cabin, a story from someone inside the compound at the end of Kenny and Clem's story, Christa's journey after she loses clementine, something with Jane prior to getting captured at Carver's camp, etc. etc. etc. there are many options to choose from that they could do. I'm not sure what the Robert Kirkman angle is going to be (besides him being the creator of The Walking Dead), but I could see a DLC related to the outbreak in Los Angeles that could play into the "Fear the Walking Dead" show storyline somehow... Pretty hyped regardless though, I just want some more Walking Dead by Telltale!! (and they definitely need to release TFTB episode 3 SOON).
"This is TWD though" is a reason this fanbase kinda ticks me off at times. Just cuz Walking Dead got us here doesn't mean it should take #1 in our heads.
I was joking around, and I've even said myself I like their newer series' more than TWD. :P
Probably cuz Game of Thrones Ep4 just launched. If it had been awhile then you'd probably be more hyped for Ep5 (I'm guessing).
And ily G… morereen but saying "This is TWD though" is a reason this fanbase kinda ticks me off at times. Just cuz Walking Dead got us here doesn't mean it should take #1 in our heads.
I think they mean the announcement is just not Season 3 itself, kind of like how one could say a 400 Days announcement is not related to Season 2 since 400 Days is its own DLC.
I'm guessing that this announcement will be something more like a Walking Dead mini series to keep us occupied until Walking Dead Season 3 hits in 2016.

Second: so there WILL NOT be a season 3 of TWD game in 2015? Did I understand that correctly? The announcement on June 15th will then NOT be about season 3? Please dont let it be something trite like a special Q &A podcast with Robert Kirkman about the franchise blah blah blah or that there will be a Comicon booth in San Diego. That is NOT the kind of news I am oping for. I want something related to the game. No sweeps, no interviews, no special podcasts announcing TWD Tshirts and mugs. I hope it is something concrete.
I literally cannot play episodes 1, 2, or 3 anymore, i've replayed them so often it's absolutely mind blowing.
4 is playable and 5, i'm ready for a good cry again, i can play 400 Days.
I can't play 201 again, too many times played, 202 is okay to play, 203 too many times, i would play 204 but i hate it, 205 i could play but i'd be screaming at the screen the whole time because why don't we just kill Arvo and go to that town we were supposed to go to and the whole episode would've been better. I'd rather just rewind my save to the end and play all the endings lol.
First of all, what is DLC?

We are very likely getting something new that is playable, like how Season 1 got 400 Days. Telltale have been hinting that whatever new content we get will be "bigger" than 400 Days, even!

The fuss is that there is going to be a "major announcement" at E3, it's unclear exactly what this announcement will be but considering that… more Robert Kirkman along with the Telltell CEO Kevin Bruner will be making the announcement it seems like it could be something significant which is causing lots of excitment.
I also have to admit that there not being a season 3 is a major bust. I can only imagine the kind of meetings these people must have had when coming up with this brilliant strategy when discussing new projects. "Gee, TWD is SO FUCKING POPULAR and IN DEMAND RIGHT NOW. Here's a clever idea" let's put it on hiatus for the next 18 to 24 months and make games not half as interesting and marketable." "Oh yeah, I mean NOTHING gets sales up and business going as putting a HUGE ASS gap between episodes and making fans lose interest."
Um, it's not on hiatus (especially with the likely DLC content) and their other games are great, Tales From The Borderlands is one of my favorite games.

Not to sound like an ass but almost every comment you post is something along the lines of "I don't care anymore", but you still keep hanging around the forums. If you really don't care then why keep telling us? Why not just move on.
They are not putting it on hiatus, they probably want to take their time and create a good story first before they start making the game and they are also currently working on GoT and TFTB which takes priority at the moment. I would much rather it take slightly longer so we get a batter game and story rather than them rush it just because of demand.

Being serious, I think it could be a bunch of random things. They said bigger than 400 Days, and what is 400 Days about? All these different stories taking place rather than one direct narrative focused on just one set of characters. I think I could die happy if it was a bunch of side stories surrounding Season 2, like what happened to Christa or how Kenny or Sarita met Walter and Matthew, and I know I got annoyed with the whole Jaime this Jaime that thing being wedged really unsubtle in the game, but even something on what happened to Jane and her sister could be an interesting tale to see ;_; and you know, cabin group.
I like DLC's that add something to the story, and something like prequel stuff would be the best outcome in my widdle opinion, because it could do a really good job in giving those characters added depth, and just contribute something to Season 2 and improve it, given that was one of the main criticism the season had in that most the cast weren't developed enough...but it's gonna be a TWDG Pine Simulator, isn't it? (・へ・)
I'll vote for the first one though since that's part of what I'd love to see.
My guess is that we will get some key art and hopefully a trailer if this announcement is anything like how 400 Days went down.
Other mod… mores and I plan to stick around the forums when the announcement hits so we should be able to update the thread live as things happen.
Not as half as interesting or marketable? Please. Lots of people have started to prefer Telltale's new games to Walking Dead, myself included since Game of Thrones is my favorite Telltale series right now.

Maybe o.o I guess we'll just have to find out when it gets revealed. Think they'll do any teaser images or anything like that for it?

Super Shows will start coming in 2016, according to a teaser tweet by Job, and will also start out with original IP.

Remake of series 2?
E3 needs to hurry up omg.
10 Days left, 10 episodes overall in Season 1 (not including 400 Days) and Season 2.
1 episode a day.
Get playing.

DLC is downloadable content, like "400 Days" for season 1.
We are very likely getting something new that is playable, like how Season 1 got 400 Days. Telltale have been hinting that whatever new content we get will be "bigger" than 400 Days, even!
maybe it will be about how they are no longer going to do this.
I love ya

Why would you think that?
Um, it's not on hiatus (especially with the likely DLC content) and their other games are great, Tales From The Borderlands is one of my favorite games.
That would be such a shame.
Now why would they do that?
Lol although I'd be really pissed, that would be kinda hilarious.

So I made a little poll to see what you think if it is a Dlc, what will it be, based on common community topics

Wow, we're now in the single digits of days left until we get the announcement!
I'm surprised, but this day ended so quickly.
I just got out of bed and now - now evening.
And how do you cope?
Me waiting for E3
I'm so busy with exams but yay! :c
hahaha
ahhh Long Road Ahead..probably my most favourite episode ever! the heavyness, the quietness, the calm, the panic, the despair, the sorrow...
