Just replayed through EP1 of TWD again and I gotta say..I got so used to the comfortable and fun feeling of TFTBL that I forgot how dark TWD is, but I guess it will make me ready for what's to come.
If you like getting hyped up over something that will ultimately disappoint you AGAIN, then go ahead
Hey, have you considered the possibility that maybe, just maybe, it didn't disappoint everyone?
I know, blows your mind, right? It's such a hard concept to comprehend, I mean holy shit
Stop jumping on the bandwagon belief that everyone hated it, or that it somehow tainted the entire series. Fine, you and a fair fraction of other people think S2 wasn't that good, but I cannot even BEGIN to comprehend the logic that it somehow acts like a huge cancerous blight on TWD name. I mean christ, talk about blowing things out of proportion. If you want to sit there and bitch about the people that liked it/didn't find it disappointed are a bunch of idiots with no taste, then go ahead. If you want to sit there and bitch about how bad S2 is over and over again under some bullshit guise of 'making your voice heard', despite the fact that by this point in time you're just parroting the same shit everyone's said for the past year, then go ahead.
Why are people still getting excited over TWD games? Does no one remember the shambles of S2? I thought people would have lost interest in t… morehis game by now.

I'm pretty intrigued by the screenshot of the strung up walker. The description for the episode mentions Michonne and the rest coming across a slaughter, but I wanna know if there's a reason why whoever did this strung a walker up to a wall. The zombie looks fairly fresh, so it makes you wonder if this guy already turned when he was hung up, or if he was still alive.

It's weird, there's a pretty big indentation in his forehead area and the blood near there looks fresh but the blood and overall look of the walker looks pretty old.

That locker seems familiar, is that the school where molly, lee, clem and the rest held up. I remember seeing logan's name on the locker and he's the doctor that molly was angry at??

I'm thinking he might have been tortured medieval style, because there appears to be strain on his shoulders and arms. It would also explain the blood. Since the "Capt" may also refer to captain, he might have been the leader of the group slaughtered. There also looks like there might be a wound on his lower abdomen.

We are probably going to get some good walker slaughter in the first episode. Also, Michonne Gun 2? ok, either they had 4 walker pics to choose from, and 2 gun pics as well, that's what they chose? I'm hoping it's the former that I said earlier.

Savannah isn't even unrealistic, it's one of the biggest coastal towns in Georgia, and Michonne was originally from Georgia, so if she wanted to 'deal with her past', Savannah seems to be a sensible place to start if you are by boat. It's also (obviously) near the water, so the floating settlement of Monroe would fit into there aswell. Plus, it would be a pretty awesome callback to Season 1. All of this combined with the Georgia-y weather (hot and humid looking) makes me think that you could be on to something. Or maybe I'm reading way too much into a pretty common name. We'll see.

I noticed that, too. I checked earlier today to compare the areas (like the floors, etc...) and it's definitely not the same place, sadly. Just some more re-used assets from Telltale.

Yeah, I also noticed the Episode Select caption. Knowing that, I really love how they made the episode select screen so stylized; it's neat to see the evolution from Walking Dead: Season 1.

To get myself ready for the Michonne mini-series, I got The Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 bundle for a Next Gen console, and the graphics look so much better on it, too.
I have an Ipad Air 2. Runs good for me, only thing I hate is that on Ipad, S1 and S2 have these anoying black bars above and below that shrink the screen, while Iphone doesnt.

They upped the texture resolutions pretty much across the board for the next gen releases, which is most notable on the S1 zombie models. They also fixed various little things, like certain animations not playing (though they also broke a few others in the process), remastered a few low quality sound files, and other odds and ends like that.
If we're talking purely in terms of graphical quality, the next gen consoles actually have the best looking version of the game available. It's a bit of a shame that they never updated the PC version with the better textures and stuff, too.

While on one hand I'm happy - we finally got an official release date. But on the other... my worst fear confirmed, the episode won't come out until the end of February.
You'd think when it comes to Telltale I'd be used to bearing up with extended wait periods by now, but it never gets easier for me.
In all honesty, they've been re-using stuff since... forever, really.
I don't see the problem with re-using things, depending on how they're re-used. If you're re-using a random background prop that the general audience wouldn't really notice, I don't see the big problem. If you're repurposing an older model (new textures, changes to the model itself, etc), I don't see the trouble, either. It's when you're shamelessly re-using something that is very obviously out of place or blatantly re-used that it starts to get a bit ridiculous. Like if they made an episode that takes place in a camp that is a re-skin of the motor inn from S1, for example. Where it's super obvious it's the exact same thing, just with a few different colors or signs that barely hide the fact. That's where I personally start drawing the line.
If you're re-using small stuff, then whatever; it allows you to cut a few corners, and is arguably more efficient than making a new texture/model for some random thing in the background. If you're re-using entire maps and complex models and barely try to hide the fact that they're the same maps/models, then it's drifting into lazy territory.

One question...do i need to have read the comics or watched the show in order to play/understand this game? Or is this like other ttg games like GoTS1, which can be played even without watching tv show as it introduced everything to us

No seriously, I do.

You lucky bastard, I wish I could have been born on such a blessed day.
Well, you'll never know how it feels

Speaking of which, is it just me, or does the katana look a bit short? It's a small nitpick, but maybe it's just the angle.
You dont think thats too soon? It would leave a huge gap between eps 2 and 3

Agreed. Plus, Michonne can feel that something's fishy. And she's always right.
The only thing I hate is that we IOS users gotta wait more u.u I hope my Ipad 2 can run it well >.<

According to the images URL the image is called "capt zombie" so I assume he was the captain of the vessel they're on.
Alternatively, it could also mean 'captive' or 'captured'
It's weird, there's a pretty big indentation in his forehead area and the blood near there looks fresh but the blood and overall look of the walker looks pretty old.

I noticed these too. The real question is that does "Capt Zombie" refer to captain zombie or captive zombie?

CSI: Walking Dead over here.
Wait, Headchop4?

I'd assume it's most likely captain, most uses of "capt" refer to a captain more than anything else.
And he has a cool bandanna.
I noticed that, too. I checked earlier today to compare the areas (like the floors, etc...) and it's definitely not the same place, sadly. Just some more re-used assets from Telltale.

The one named Logan in season 1 is connected to a bunch of lockers, in the image above it's only connected one.
So unfortunately probably not the same place (unless there were 2 Logan's at Crawford, which isn't too unrealistic but I doubt it.)

But - but why is still in the files the updated slides 206 207 208 ?
At one point it was going to be DLC for season 2 but they changed their minds and are now releasing it as a standalone game.
YAY! Walking Dead month!!!
Your gifs are property of Negan now...
Nice one Telltale!
For f*ck sake Telltale, stop re-using objects in your games, I don't know about you guys but it bothers me immensely, it's cheap as hell.
Then don't buy their games, simple as that.
I wonder if Rick and Negan will be mentioned in dialogue.
In all honesty, they've been re-using stuff since... forever, really.

I know they have been re-using objects and walkers in a long time, I just think it's lazy as hell to do so.
Telltale also re-used a gunshot sound from Jurassic Park in TWD.

Show doesn't have anything to do with the Video Game or the Comics. It's your choice if you want to read the comics.
