I agree with the complaiments. But about the puzzle one, what the hell? Season one only had the train "puzzle" (easy, just boring) and I don't think we need them.
If they're going to do puzzles, at least make them difficult, that we really need to think to get the solution. So no, if we just get puzzle to make episodes longers without adding something to the game, I disagree.
They already addressed the issue if I recall correctly.
Their excuse was "we want players to be able to play and complete the episode in … moreone sitting" or something. Greeeat. Thaaanks...
Telltale, we are fine, thank you for your concern, but I think it is safe to say that most of us would much prefer more content to chew at our own pace rather than tiny chunks that we can immediately swallow.
That said, is 2 and a half hours REALLY that long of a session for gaming?
I don't think TT care, but I'll gladly continue to complain about this nonetheless, because it's killing the quality of their once great games. Wolf has been a disjointed mess between the massive delay followed by a short, painfully underwhelming episode and the obvious rush job on the barely there episodes four and five. I've enjoyed it, but god, so much potential flushed down the drain.
And while TWD is faring a little better, it's still but a decent enough shadow of its former self. And as a GOT fan I shudder to think how it's going to fare if this pattern continues, with how lore heavy it is. TT's current approach to their games wouldn't even begin to do that universe justice, to the point that if they don't do better, it's like why bother even making it.
I would've easily bought any game TT put out on the strength of TWD alone at one point, and that's how I got into Wolf in fact, but now, I'm increasingly wary and doubting they'll ever make a game approaching TWD S1 again. Cheesy, but the love just isn't there anymore, it's like it's just about the quickest buck possible now. /whining

I just don't understand why Telltale would move away from the formula that took their popularity to new levels and won them Game of the Year with TWD. It doesn't make any sense.
I really hope Telltale is seeing these threads. They will have people hooked for awhile longer, but they're going to start losing customers if they stay on the path that they are currently on.
But according to your own stats, the complaining hasn't changed a thing. If they feel like the next episodes need to be longer they will, bu… moret I doubt it will have anything to do with fan complaints, and everything to do with the story they're trying to tell.
I've said it before, that excuse is to save face and not make it seem like they're struggling with working on TWAU and TWD at the same time.
If it is indeed not an excuse and this is truly a new rule then this is a big FUCK YOU to all Season 1 fans.
"So much success with Season 1, so many fans!!! So let's go ahead and focus on a COMPLETELY different audience than the one who put us where we are right now"
I read a lot of books. I'm currently reading Notes from a Dead House by Dostojevski and The Gunslinger by Stephen King. Notes is a book one needs to follow with concentration due to the difference in syntax AND because it isn't a traditional story. It is rather the author's experiences told in succession of themes that he's reminded of. I've currently let that book sit idly by whilst I finish the Gunslinger. But if I were to pick up Notes this moment I wouldn't miss a beat - it would be like I didn't put it down. And this applied to other books, when I was getting buttfucked by a job AND by uni at the same time.
You want to know why? It's because I have this thing called a ''memory'' which allows me retain knowledge and information for long periods of time. Sure, it doesn't last a long time for some things (math and physics being ones that evaporate in mere hours) but for stories it can last for months, up to a year.
So, dear Telltale, that ''one sitting'' thing is bullshit because any reader, viewer, player who doesn't have the attention span of a humming bird on speed will be able to play the game if it lasts longer than an hour, I guarantee you that. The first season of The Walking Dead seems to have done alright, so why don't you let the episodes proceed at their pace, not at the pace of some idiot who can't watch a movie without switching to something else within five seconds.
But according to your own stats, the complaining hasn't changed a thing. If they feel like the next episodes need to be longer they will, bu… moret I doubt it will have anything to do with fan complaints, and everything to do with the story they're trying to tell.
Didn't someone say that those posted stats aren't necessarily the final ones? I can't believe that the episode would end in less than an hour. The finale for WD season 1 was longer and that was pretty much just wrapping up the story. There's a lot left to deal with in Wolf to wrap up this mystery.

Its funny how they describe it as "one sitting gameplay length" when i sit down to play a game im engrossed in, such as resident evil and fi… morenal fantasys back in the day, one of my sittings was anything from 6-10 hours a sitting, which leaves me craving more the next day and excited to pick it back up, lol, i can sit and play TWD season 1 in one sitting let alone one episode of TWAU or of TWD season 2..
They are definitely not going to listen for the rest of TWD season 2 and obviously the finale for Wolf. Maybe things will change with Borderlands and game of thrones but for now 90 minutes or less will most likely stay. I am starting to get worried though since Wolf's finale took less then a hour to complete. I don't mind 90 minute episodes but less then a hour is going way to far.
As someone who once was a huge Telltale asskisser, i won't be buying their next 2 games. Unless the 2 remaining episodes of TWD show me that they've finally learned but that's still highly unlikely.
I just don't understand why Telltale would move away from the formula that took their popularity to new levels and won them Game of the Year… more with TWD. It doesn't make any sense.
I really hope Telltale is seeing these threads. They will have people hooked for awhile longer, but they're going to start losing customers if they stay on the path that they are currently on.
That's only 0.1 percent...
Back when pc games were hot...you heard of Command and Conqueror or red alert? Those games were top notch strategy games.. EA bought out many GREAT COMPANIES and sabotage the games and made a piece of shit quality games...
I know these trollers down voting me but i don't give a fuck cause they don't know shit about EA or Activision....do some research on it...not just simcity crap.
Activision did shady business with Call of duty modern warfare franchise...the creators... Activision "fired" them..for no apparent reason....and they took over call of duty series..and made it crappy...
There's lot more going on and i'll won't explain it here..do research
another thing... MAXIS was the originator of sim city series....they made the games top notch...till EA bought them out...and went wrong direction.

As a 20-year old who's trying to make the most out of his summer, researching game companies that I don't care about just isn't worth my time. Besides if what you say is true about them, if they have fucked up this much, then I find it absolutely ridiculous that you'd put Telltale on the same level as them.
Just for the record, if you really didn't care about people down voting your posts, you wouldn't have acknowledged them.

I did For "all that remains" and almost all of Season 1 of TWD especially for "Around every corner". I can't handle playing a game for longer then 2 hours unless that I'm on a handheld for some reason. That's just me though.
They do know that we have more than a single hour free to us in our lives, right?
And with that said, how many of you do pause in the middle of a Telltale Episode for later? That just doesn't make sense to me!
It didn't take less than an hour. Going from the first achievement unlock to episode completion, it took 59 minutes. However, this doesn't include starting and completing the first chapter, as it only tells you when the first chapter was completed. I reckon the first chapter could have taken between 4 - 20 minutes to complete.
So people should really take into account the fact that you're not seeing the actual playtime. Granted, it's still around the 70 - 90 minute mark, from what it seems, which is what people are up in arms about.

The "one sitting" excuse is nonsense. I finished all S1 episodes in one sitting, and I wasn't rushed or anything.
Actually I couldn't finish the first two episodes of S2 in one sitting, but that was because I was busy. Finishing a game in one sitting has more to do with the gamer's free time and disposition rather than the game's lenght.
I agree that hubs would help the game a lot, not only would they make it longer (even if it's just some minutes) but it would help to get emotionally invested with the characters. There's a lot of interesting characters that haven't being exploited despite their potential, and I think it's due to the game not giving us enough time to know the characters more personally.
I wouldn't mind at all that the game comes later than expected if it's for the benefit of the end product.
If Telltale Games keep making these episodes like this, they are certain to lose hegemony among studios that release their games in a form of episodes. The Walking Dead is quite exceptional game. Why? It is, rather was, breathtaking and absorbing. The plot of 1. season can be easily called a masterpiece. I respect it like plots of Silent Hills and other games I love. I cannot say anything like that about 2. season, though S2EP1 was very, very good. I liked it a lot. But later episodes weren't as fascinating as previous ones. To be honest, they are quite boring. I feel terribly disappointed because of that. Maybe one day TTG will regain lost glory and trust of course.
Just one thing to clarify:

I was joking, I'm not trying to get a job with Telltale.
Though I should say (not to toot my own horn, I'm just well over college age) I … moredo have a bachelor's, just nothing to do with gaming though.
Actually, I'm worse off than unemployed: I'm a Grad student.
No problem. Like I said, I think you can add between 4 - 20 minutes playtime onto that 59 minutes. Hard to tell how long with not playing it.
Anyway, I'm not one for debating all of this anymore. I'll just say one last thing:
At the end of episode 4, I got the impression that episode 4 - 5 were being treated as a 'big episode' (like two parters on the television). Won't excuse the shortness for people, I know, but it might be best looking at it from that point of view when it does hit. I personally think 4 was more setup and that episode 5 is going to go all out when it comes to action and tension, so maybe a short runtime might be a good idea for the player to catch a breather.

That excuse is the biggest load of BS I've ever heard. I can play a game for 5-6 hours easily, if not more if I really enjoy it.

The moment i saw Vanaman leave Telltale is when i realized this company is not going anywhere but downhill.
If we had at least one (well done, not rushed) hub with some puzzle in each episodes, episodes would be 30 minutes longer.
BringBackHubs
Was that really the only puzzle one? I felt like there were more.
I just don't understand why Telltale would move away from the formula that took their popularity to new levels and won them Game of the Year with TWD. It doesn't make any sense.

"No different than EA or Activision."
Please tell me you're joking.
Nope. Unless you know the history of EA or Activision, you won't understand my stance.
The only bad piece of bad history I know for both companies is EA releasing a broken SimCity game and Activision developing Survival Instinct.
If it's not at least 80 minutes I'll rip shit up.
I see what your saying and support your argument. I want them to make longer episodes a long as it doesn't dilute the game.

Bungie starts working with Activision. What happens? Marty O'Donnell gets fired for absolutely no reason.
I'm not even going to talk about the huge drop of quality in World of Warcraft.
Downvote all you want.
The main issue is taking on 4 games at once.

quit accusing me of down voting....I haven't
but since you mentioned it...i will.

likewise to you..

So you're basically telling me that everything they released after Season One is shit, right?

Thank you for the info! If the episode is at least the length of episode 4 then I'm happy!
Well if you get a job im sure you will be very very happy and stick to it you eill enjoy your life
No. When i decided i would record every episode and put them into 1 video. i got this.
S1E1: 1 hour and 13 minutes
S1E2 1 hour and 27 minutes
S1E3: 1 hour and 42 mintutes
S1E4: 1 hour and 54 minutes
S1E5 1 hour and 29 minutes.
This is right. i have it all documented on my PC.
