Shh, it's okay. Of course Lee is totally alive. Clearly he was faking about how the bite was affecting him, in fact he probably wasn't even bitten! I bet that walker was just Omid dressed up and having a laugh, am I right? And that option to shoot him in the head? Psssh. Well, clearly his forehead deflected that bullet because he's just. that. tough.

Brotha personally i think if clem left him the virus never affected him he just woke up again alive and escaped

Well I already created a theory about Lee a few months ago, and had a very long nice discussion, but as I know you will be too bored to go looking for it so I'll copy paste:
I have to say this. When Lee got bitten if you didn't cut his arm he starts having black outs and dies anyway but if you cut of his arm he doesn't have any black outs, so this means that the arm was cut in time, in the final scene Lee was very tired but he wasn't sweating of the fewer so this means he wasn't dying by the infection, maybe he was dying from blood loss, anyways in the end if you shoot him just before the shot Clementine turns the gun so that means maybe she didn't kill him or if you don't shoot him you see that he died BUT maybe he didn't die, maybe he just slept because he wasn't dying from the infection, he was tired but not dying, so there's what I think: Lee slept, got rested and survived and he could return one day, maybe not in episode 3 or 4, maybe in season 3 but we CAN'T ignore these facts what I wrote, why did Clementine turn the gun, why Lee wasn't sweating. I can't stop thinking about this theory that Lee is alive every time when I play WD or go here to this website, could someone of the creators answer only 1 thing ? Is there a possibility that I am right that Lee could return if you cut his arm and don't shoot ? What do you guys think ? I need to get an answer, this theory is killing me :P
Actually, that could have happened, cus I'm pretty sure their flesh is weaker than human's.

There are no viable theories. Lee's death is canon.
It could be possible - If you amputate the arm, avoid extra bites in the herd (who the hell actually got bitten anyway, you literally just click anywhere and Lee kills a walker : / ), avoid getting shot by the stranger, don't have clementine shoot him, and don't handcuff him to the radiator. I admit this scenario is still a huge ass pull, but it still opens up a small possibility. It'd be a hell of an Easter egg for those who met those requirements

Sorry, but Lee is 100% dead. When fighting your way through the hoard on your way to the marsh house, there's a possibility of getting bitten again multiple times and have it still be canon. If you try to argue that he cuts of the bitten parts then I will need to tell you that one of the places he gets bit is on the neck. This means he is infected with the virus and will turn (unleess clementine shot him).
Oh, I know one theory. Lee not only survived the bite, but he also regenerated his amputated hand. He was discovered to be immune to the virus, and thus he left Savannah, trying to find Clementine, but to no avail. He changed his clothes to white shirt, red tie, black pants and black shoes, shaved his head a bit more. Then, he encountered a group of survivors, consisting of a young woman, Zoey, a Vietnam war veteran named Bill and some biker called Francis. He accidentally bitten his tongue, so he couldn't make proper sounds or words. He tried to say his name is Lee, but only "L" could be recognized, so the survivors he found made their own conclusions, and decided he is named "Louis". He started to use this name instead of "Lee".

But there are no theories to be had. It's been confirmed by TellTale that Lee is dead. It doesn't matter what you chose. He was either shot, or he reanimated. But dead is dead. He's not coming back. Ever. Get over it.

The best theory I can come up with:
When Clem shoots, the gun quickly moves to one side. It's possible that Clem changed her mind at the last second and diverted the shot, missing Lee entirely.
Now, if cutting off Lee's arm did stop the infection and Lee simply passed out from bloodloss, it's possible someone discovered him and carried him to safety. It's unlikely he could have recovered there by himself without intervention.
It's an extreme long shot but it's plausible.
If you decide to shoot Lee in s1, Clementine mentions in s2 that she killed Lee.
Lee's death was the greatest plot point of the entire two games so far. Bringing him back would completely ruin it. He got a second chance at a free life and used it saving Clementine, that would mean nothing if he was still alive.
Not to mention it's ridiculous to think he survived. He was bit and it was clearly effecting him. There has yet to be anyone shown to have immunity and clearly Lee didn't have immunity to the virus anyways.
So, in terms of reasoning for the writers to bring him back AND logical explanations, you're out of luck.
They basically rot away, so the longer someone's been a zombie the weaker their flesh is. From what I've gathered at least.
No one in the game has shown sweating when they turn. Lee was extremely pale colored, showing he was just about to die, and his eyes were yellow. That is not blood loss, those are signs of the virus. He's dead. And the creators have already confirmed Lee is DEAD and not returning, it is canon.
So now you can stop thinking about that theory.

"He asked me to shoot him... but I just couldn't and left him to turn." is something to be ashamed of.
Like I said though, it's a long shot. I'm fairly confident Lee is dead but the OP asked for a theory and that's the one I've been running with since the finale of S1.
What if Clementine shot Lee, but only grazed him, she being 9 years old , thinking he is dead leaves. COMON TELLTALE Deus ex Machina back Lee.
I actually played through once and got bit once or twice and I was like "Holy shit this man can get bit 3 times and shot twice in one day and keep walking".
Season 2 is all a dream that Clem is having. She's still in the house in Savannah with Lee and the others, and never ran off to the Stranger.
So Lee never got bit, none of them died, and he's still alive.
