Thanks! I tried to make it as balanced as possibly. The hard part was not making [Fight] seem like a 'selfish' or 'cowardly' option. In a lot of ways, it's the smart choice.
I would protect the baby.
Nice job on these choices! I like how there are sacrifices in each. If you protect the baby, others are less in… morejured whereas you take most of the hits. If you fight, you're less likely to get injured yet another character will get the brunt of it.
Have to agree with everyone else and say I really like your choices and how they have some serious and differing consequences. I'd definitely have to go with the fight option, sorry, baby, but it's survival of the fittest and also my Clem will want to be in the fray with everyone else.
I would say the baby's life is most important.
ALTHOUGH, that being said, I say the baby's life would be in the least amount of danger, being covered by a dead woman and not being an actual target for fire, the baby would be relatively safe until the firefight ended. If anything, fighting and assisting the group would give the baby a greater probability of survival in my opinion.
So my choice is to fight and kill the thieving bastards.
The thing is, this won't happen because whoever get shot will be injured or dead. There isn't and cover to run too and they are shooting at each other from point blank range. The shootout will probably already have ended by the start of 5
Why is everyone trying to kill off Mike AND Bonnie one of them is definitely enough and of anything Bonnie should most likely go first because shes isnt the newest of the two, but Idk its Telltale they honestly might give them an offscreen death but some people dont get that mercy, like Sarah
and I'm not a Nick lover I got him killed in episode 2
Yeah, Arvo was great, but the other Russians seem like walking 'scary Russian' stereotypes to me. I wouldn't be disappointed if they bought the farm. :P
As I recall from another thread, our friend Vitali (shotgun guy I think) is really aggressive, claiming he can take Kenny 'eyepatch guy' on without guns. He also states he'll eat his entrails or something. Freaky.
Tatoo guy frightens me aswell.

I translated the Russian conversation and posted it in a thread. The Russians wanting to back down after seeing the baby would be incorrect. Toward the beginning of the run in Vitali (the guy who is offscreen the most) kept on repeating "There are too many of them" to Burich (the boss) even before they noticed the baby. However, Burich scolds Vitali not to be a coward and since Vitali stays it seems like he is more afraid of his boss than he is of being outnumbered. Maud (the female) is ambivalent about the situation/baby and doesn't seem to care if the scuffle will escalate into a full blown gun fight. Lastly, Arvo does beg Burich to stop and back down but he specifically says "I don't want to die" in Russian so his motivation to stop the fight is not because of the baby but because if things kept on getting heated then the chances of him dying would be pretty high as he doesn't appear to have a gun on him.
Even if the russians didn't want to fight. It's not like they wouldn't shoot after hearing a gunshot. They might be outnumbered but, like you said, they definitely have better weapons. That AK can hit multiple people within seconds and that shotgun should have a fairly decent spread on it.
P.S. Clem's group is totally aggressive because Bonnie was a junkie and I suspect she's robbed people [to get her drugs] before.
Just kidding.
I think..
At least one of the Russians has an AK and another has a shotgun. The AK is fully automatic and the shotgun can kill or injure multiple peo… moreple, if they're using buckshot (which I assume they are). Plus, they have the ground surrounded and packed together.
I'll admit, things are looking grim for our Russkie friends. In all fairness, the translation of their dialogue makes it clear that they didn't want a fight once they found out the ground has a baby with them. Problem is, Clementine's group is VERY aggressive because of they baby.

Thanks! I'm trying to avoid achievements like the plague, so I'll probably stick to expanding my beginning theory. There's a lot of questions left unanswered: who should take the bullet? What happens after Clem goes unconscious? Etc.
Wow, BBM, you really did a good piece of work here man... Based on the options presented here, I'd try to fight the Russkies off.
Do you … moreplan on making your own predictions of the episode based on the achievements and stuff, or are you just going to focus on the beginning?
Ok. So maybe the person who takes the bullet is the one with whom you side with the most? And maybe once Clem gets knocked out, the group argues over whether to kill Arvo or let him live?

Well honestly, coming from someone who almost always does the "good choices" like saving Ben and Sarah, I have to agree. It didn't sound like the baby would be in trouble during this scene, plus it wouldn't really be fully developed mentally at this point, so death wouldn't really be scary for it. Not saying we should murder babies, I'm just saying that saving someone more "alive" would probably be the better choice.
I'd probably try to fight, the baby probably wouldn't be in too much danger, and the group needs help. Also, this is a really good scenario. Good work .
Would be an amazing way to start the episode but I doubt that an 11-year-old girl could survive a bullet, I think maybe she could get knocked down from one of the russian guys hitting her with their gun or something??....
Anyway, I would choose to fight not because I don't like the baby but because I think his life is not in danger for the moment. I mean, Rebecca is covering him and he is so near to the floor that a lost bullet as no chance of touching him. In my opinion, the only way for him to receive a bullet would be if someone shot him in purpose, and, let's be honest here, what kind of psycho would shoot a baby like that? Some of the russians were not really friendly but they would not kill a baby in cold blood like that...right?
But if the baby's life really was in danger, I'd protect him.
Easy choice. Fight. If the baby survives, I can still care for it afterwards. But if I die protecting the baby, we will both be done for. Not to mention that I am not risking my life for a newborn.
That is so cool! I would like to see that in the episode. Even if I'll risk myself, I'll protect the baby. This is what matters for me now. New life. New generation. I have to keep it safe.
Wow lol. I guess we're really seeing what people are made of with this hypothetical scenario. We have some awesome personalities out there I tell you lol

Well, yeah. Good thing we're not in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
I would probably fight

Same, I wouldn't risk Clem's life for the child.

Sorry baby, I wanna clap suckas like the grown-ups!![:D :D](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Especially since Vitali is dangerously close to Mike.
Don't do it, Telltale. I mean it.
I heard that Mike doesn't have (?) Mike will remember that. messages. He may not be long for this world.
Then again, the game told us that Carley would remember what we said seconds before her brains were splattered over the side of the RV.
Then perhaps they shouldn't be opening threads that mention "episode 5" and "decision" in the same thread?
Eh, they have a point. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

That baby will be the death of the entire group. I would fight.

True, but an AK round can easily pass through a body an exit out the other side. Bullets are nasty like that.
Ah, thanks for the correction.
I agree that the fight is kind of inevitable at this point. One person shooting is bound to cause a chain reaction.
Lee JR: Clementine, what did you get me for my birthday?
Clem: The gift of protecting you about 10 years back, you ungrateful fuck.
Thanks! I'm trying to avoid achievements like the plague, so I'll probably stick to expanding my beginning theory. There's a lot of questions left unanswered: who should take the bullet? What happens after Clem goes unconscious? Etc.

I'd fight, unless there stupid or terrible shots the baby isnt going to get shot anyway

Even if the baby ends up dying no matter what, I will still choose to protect the baby, your decisions, in my opinion, tell you allot about yourself.
Hmm..maybe a new DLC? As a babys point of view? He is cute but deadly??
Nice idea, I hope it'll happen!
