Honestly i really hope this doesn't happen. Randomly bumping in to … moresomeone we last saw a hundred miles away once is bad writing (regardless of whether or not you like the character). Twice in one season would be enough to make me consider not buying season 3.
I can kind of see what you mean. While I think Kenny has always been incredibly irritating, Telltale could've handled his return much better… more. "I got lucky. Real lucky". His character arc from Season One completely recycled in Season Two. The game's absolute refusal to ever let you express dislike towards Kenny (my Clem doesn't like him damn it!) just to pander to his vocal fanbase. I really want Lilly to return, but I'm scared that the writers will portray her as a one-dimensional murderous bitch to pander to the fans who want to blindly murder Lilly to avenge their waifu.
Hopefully she'll be a bit more supportive of Clem than that. Remember that unlike Kenny, Lilly clearly cared about Clem in season 1 regardless of Lee's choices (not counting stealing the RV, though I'd argue that was out of paranoia and self-preservation rather than any kind of malice).
If she comes back I just hope she doesn't pull a " Oh your caretaker left me out there to die" bullshit on Clem. Clems got enough shit to worry about with Kenny snapping, a baby... a shootout, she doesnt need more enemies..

Is it normal to record VAs 2 months before release of a big game? Handsome Jack's VA said "Octoberish" for the Borderlands release, so it seems odd to me that anyone would be recording voices for it now.
My first thought was that Lilly would show up at the very end as a cliffhanger, but...a whole session for one line? Seems odd as well.
If they all started in the same place, and are headed to the same place, why is it so unbelievable that their paths could cross in between? I don't understand why so many find these meetings impossible and contrived. How Kenny's alive, though...I'm hoping that the circumstances of Kenny's escape in s1 will yet be revealed, actually.
I see a scenario where either Lilly saves Clem's new group and Kenny has to grudgingly thank her, or we find her in trouble and have to decide whether to help her. I would love to see Christa again, dead or alive; I just hate loose ends!

To be fair, Lilly basically got the most interaction with Clem out of literally anyone else in the Motel group, even though most of it was implied. They were talking to each other on the recording. Lilly was clearly concerned to hear that she wasn't with her parents back in Episode 1. She shows great concern for Clem's health in Episode 3 regardless of her relationship with Lee. If Lee kills Andy, she is clearly upset with Lee's decision and Clem is shown hiding behind her. She agrees with Clem's disapproval of stealing from the station wagon. And yeah, those hair ties.
One thing about Lilly I really appreciate is that she, unlike ol' fickle Kenneth, doesn't let her relationship with Lee get in the way of her concern for Clem. Kenny only cares about Clem provided her guardian kiss his ass. Lilly cares about Clem even if she hates Lee's guts.
I just thought of this idea while reading everyone's responses on how they would react if Lilly came back. What if (assuming that Lilly comes back) how you greet and treat her affects Kenny and Luke's treatment of each other? If you welcome and forgive Lilly for shooting Carley/Doug and (determinant) stealing the RV, Kenny and Luke will see your willingness to forgive to survive and they will forgive each other and start working together. If you bring up Lilly's past and act reserved towards her, Kenny and Luke will continue to fight until the bitter end. That would be pretty cool to see play out.

No matter that Lee is no enemy or enemy of Lilly, she showed that the only person who cares more in the Motel Inn is Clementine and if Lee is his friend, he second person would mind her, maybe she was preparing for the day all separated go with the people who mattered to her.

Not to mention the writers like to record lines that may not even be seen in the final release of the game, just so they have creative room to do what they want with animation and backgrounds (even after all voice is recorded and edited).
