I don't underestimate Mike's value, he is definitely a nice and useful person, arguably the most useful in the current group.
I just don't really care that much about him yet. Not as much as I care about Clem, Luke or Bonnie. The same goes for the baby (except he's not even useful, sorry). As for Kenny, I don't like him for plenty of reasons, mainly because he didn't help my Lee rescue Clem and left him for dead a few times.
As much as I like Mike, he's still just a new friend, and I simply can't get attached to someone in so little time.
I was just thinking of how it'd be cool if something very Lee-ish were to happen to Mike, and Clementine cried for the first time in front of people because it took her back to Lee's last moments and it turns out she's got post traumatic stress from that particular experience. I mean I see all the flaws to the theory, but it'd be cool.
