  • --SELENE--

Puncake followed her, holding his ribs and nose, as they ran up the stairs. She looked around, yelling "James! James, are you there?!" Puncake looked around, but nobody was around. They ran back down the stairs, checking every room, making sure he wasn't there. Selene had checked the right side, Puncake checked the left. Ulysses had stayed in his room, and Selene was SO ANGRY at Ulysses. He was jealous and too aggressive, and may have gotten James killed. "Selene, I found something!" Puncake yelled, running towards her. "Here, be very quiet, and sneak, I think I found where James went." They crept down the hallway, weapons at the ready, as Puncake slowly approached the room. Selene saw inside, and was astonished. All the walkers piled into 1 room, with an open fire escape. "I think he escaped out that fire escape...." Puncake whispered, as Selene got a burst of joy. He could still be alive! Puncake tried to slowly close the door, but his ribs hurt so much he fell back, making a loud thud onto the tile floor. The walkers noticed, and started coming towards them. "Oh shit, Puncake, run!" Selene yells, as she slams the door shut, and helps him up. The banging on the door was extremely intense, Selene knew they only had a few seconds to get out of there. Selene helped Puncake to his feet, and they made a mad dash, with Puncake doing his best to keep up. "ULYSSES, WE GOTTA GO, NOW!" Selene screamed, as Ulysses ran out, and walkers broke down the door. "RUN, I'LL HOLD 'EM OFF!" Ulysses yelled, as Selene complied, running down the stairs, hearing a shotgun shooting repeatedly. Ulysses was heard screaming, and then more shotgun shells were fired, as he came down, covered in walker blood, and helped Puncake into the car. He started up the engine, as walkers started piling out of the building, and drove away. "We only have a little gas left, we've gotta hope we find somewhere safe in the next 10 minutes." Ulysses said, as they drove away from the walker infested apartment.

    --DEVYN--

Devyn grabbed the knife, and pulled it away from the guy trying to stab her. The guy with the gun fired, as Devyn predicted, and ducked just before, and he shot the guy who had the knife in the forehead. The guy who was being robbed then ran up, and swept the legs of the guy with the gun, so he fell and dropped his gun, as he stabbed him through the head with an ice pick. Devyn was panting, and the other guy was just calming down. "Hey, I'm Devyn." Devyn said as the other guy stood up straight "Jack." Devyn sat down in a chair, as Jack sat down on an old sofa he had placed in the middle of the room. "So, Jack, who were those guys?" "Don't know 'em" Jack said, casually "Looters. Crooks. People who wanted to rob me." Jack said, lying back. "Thanks for the help, Devyn." "No problem Jack." Devyn said. "Hey, Jack?" "Yeah?" "Do you think I could stay with you? I've been alone for so long, I need someone to stay with." Jack looked slightly sad "Sorry, Devyn, I'm the kind of person who works alone." Devyn was disappointed. "Please, Jack. I've been sleeping 2 hours a night in ditches." Jack looked at her, and she looked sad, and he just noticed how dirty and wet her clothes are. "Fine, Devyn. You can sleep here for 1 night, and then you have to leave in the morning. Only because I would be dead without you though." Devyn looked genuinely happy and relived. "Thank you so much Jack, I promise to leave as soon you want me to!"

    --BROCK--

After abandoning Viola while raiding the prison, he was sure he was the only one still alive. He had been walking for hours, and while escaping , the psychopath with the gun shot him in the hip, so it was hard to do anything. He couldn't keep a group, every time he robs someone he fails, he was hopeless. He considered ending it all and shooting himself.....but he couldn't do it. He still had a chance, and he couldn't let go of that chance. He needed to do one of the things that has let him survive this long....robbery. And almost on cue, he saw a sign. It read: "Safety. Security. Survival. Looking for recruits." Seems like a place with a lot of good stuff, maybe he could get in, get stuff, escape. He started walking, towards the location......

    SUMMARY TIME

I'll copy and paste the summary of parts 1-4 on here, which I wrote extremely early

Mark and Christian were together in a barn, taking out walkers as they came along. They were overrun by a herd, and while Mark almost made it out, Christian broke the ladder and screwed up his leg. Mark went back to save him, and set ire to the barn, escaping, and letting all the walkers burn. They got in the farmer's SUV, and they noticed the gas tank was full, and then slept. They woke up, heard a distress call, and went to go help. They met up with Arthur, and his cousin Gray, and are currently going to go look for a safe place.

Brock, and his 2 followers Tyler and Paul were bandits, who robbed and beat up people. They were hiding from a walker, when they heard Cornpopper on a drugged-out rampage. They went into his house, and Cornpopper decided not to shoot them, then Brock beat him up. After his brutal beating, Tyler and Paul had raided his house, and taken all of his stuff. He then killed Tyler, and Paul made a dash for the exit, only to be eaten by a walker. Brock took all three of them out (Tyler, Paul, and the walker), and left an unconscious Cornpopper, taking 1/2 of the stuff Tyler, and Paul grabbed, as walkers surrounded his house.

Captain Ballarms is in his watchtower, with a sniper rifle, as a girl named Vasilisa shows up asking for help. Captain Ballarms invites her into the prison he's living in, and sets her up a room in cell block D, before getting back to his position in the watchtower (sorry guys, not much has happened with these 2 yet.)

Puncake, Ulysses, and Harold are looking for Ulysses' girlfriend, Selene. While Puncake and Ulysses argue, Harold gets killed by a walker, before it, and Harold were put down by Puncake. They decide to search the school some more, and go to the pizza shop nearby, where they find James, who offers to help them look for Selene, and they decide to go to the hardware store to look or her.

Ok, now the rest of the story.

THE TYPING DEAD EPISODE 1: RISE AND FALL

Ulysses, Puncake, and James find Selene. Selene is happy to see her boyfriend and best friend, and makes good friends with James. They decide to go check out a convenience store, where James thinks someone is living, who they could add to there group of survivors. They get there, and the place is ransacked, there's blood and corpses everywhere, and the person is gone, so they decide to go somewhere else. Before they leave, they are robbed by Brock, who fails and has all of his stuff taken away, and they drive off. Ulysses starts getting angry at James out of jealousy, as he think James is hitting on Selene. They make it to an apartment, where they go to scavenge, as they encounter a massive cluster of walkers. They fight them off for a while, as they were overrun, and Ulysses opened up a door to an empty building and they go to hide in there. Selene gets trapped by walkers, so James rescues her, and after doing so, Ulysses barricades the door, trapping James outside, to the anger of Puncake and Selene. Puncake tried to reason with Ulysses, and was beaten harshly for it. Selene got back outside, and James was nowhere to be found. They discovered he has escaped out a fire escape, and then were pursued by the walkers. Ulysses held them off, and then they drove away, with little gas left.

Mark, Gray, Christian, and Arthur arrive at the prison Captain and Vasilisa are staying at. They are allowed to stay there, as Gray tries to shoot and kill Captain Ballarms. Arthur tells him not to, but he shoots anyway, hitting Captain in the side, as Captain shoots back, hitting him in the head, killing him instantly. Ballarms was then tended to by Vasilisa, and Gray was given a funeral. 5 days later, Vasilisa had a conversation with Captain about how she doesn't like killing, and then a shot goes through the window of the building. They are being robbed by a group of bandits, led by a woman named Viola. They get into position, and a firefight goes down. Brock is revealed as a sniper for this group, and most of the robbers are dead. Arthur runs out of ammo, so Christian covers him while he goes to get more. Captain faints, and Christian gets shot in the lung. Mark goes on a rampage, and kills everyone except Brock, who gets away, and Viola, who tries to run, but Captain regains consciousness, and shoots her in the thigh. Mark puts down Christian, and wants to kill Viola, but the group wants to lock her up. So he throws her into a cell, and locks it, before angrily storming off back to his bed.

Melanie was off on a food run, her first one since the apocalypse started, as she had run out of food. She was distracted, and bitten on the arm by a walker that was behind her. She panics and runs, and is saved by John Kozlov, who bring her into a building, still being pursued by walkers. John sees the bite, and cuts off her arm with an axe. She passes out, but he slings her over his shoulder and runs to the car, driving away. They are driving, where they find a girl on the side of the road, her name is Josey, and some red-haired woman robbed her and took almost everything. They invite her to drive with them, and she accepts, and they drive off. A few days later, John stumbles upon a sign, leading them to a safe-zone, presumably, located at a mall. He and Josey, decide it would be best to go there.

Brock had failed to rob Selene, James, Ulysses, and Puncake, when he is hunted down and approached by Cornpopper. Brock is brutally assaulted, but retaliates, smashing Cornpopper over the head with his gun, before putting him down. Sometime after that, he joined Viola's group, and ditches during the prison robbery, getting shot in the process. It was just in the hip, but it made things difficult. He discovered the same sign John and Josey did, and plans to get inside, rob them, and get out.

James escaped out the fire escape, narrowly, and runs away. He finds a girl, unconscious and bleeding in a dumpster, so he helps her, picking her up and running from the walkers.

Brett and Garrett are searching a car wreck for anyone alive, and they find Emma, who has been alone for a long time, and is eager to join them, as they head towards Atlanta. They arrive, and Emma comments on a hotel, saying she's never been in one, as Brett and Garrett tell the story of the time they went to Toronto and stayed in a hotel. As a group, they decide to stay in the hotel. 1 room is quite strange, as it is well-maintained, and footsteps could be heard behind it. They opened the door, and were greeted by Kimiko, her 2 sisters, Mai and Sakuna, and Devin, the guy from the convenience store who made it out Ok. They are invited in, and make themselves at home.

Devyn has been alone for a few days, maybe weeks, as she stumbles upon a diner. She sees 3 guys robbing 1 guy, and decides to help out, in the hopes of having him join her. She shoots 1 guy, who was holding the guy being robbed at gunpoint, and rushes in, as the other 2 attack her, 1 with a gun, the other with a knife. She disarmed the guy with a knife, and the guy with a gun shot him, as the guy being robbed took out the final guy's legs with 1 kick, then stabbing him in the head with an ice pick. The guy introduces himself as Jack, and Devyn asks if she can stay with him. He says no, but through telling her story of sleeping 2 hours a night in ditches, he reluctantly agrees to let hr stay for 1 night.

Please tell me if I missed something, I shall add it :)

AFTER THAT WALL OF TEXT OF A SUMMARY

I'm going to do a teaser for episode 2, and I want da fanfare. I want you guys to discuss what you think may happen. The format's gonna be a little weird. I'll give a line of dialogue, a short conversation, or describe a scene, in short, broken up bits. Most of these are determinant, and some may be cut out, but these are planned scenes.

  • Ok, the teaser. First off, I want to go over this again. These scenes are just planned, and most determinant, but some will definitely happen, and I do want all da fanfare, so please, discuss you guys' thoughts. Part 1 of episode 2 will be up later today or tomorrow.

"Y'know Jack, I don't get you. You're one of the nicest guys I've ever met, but you're up to your eyes in your own bullshit, so you end up making yourself such a cruel person."

Mark brutally beats a walker until his brains are all over the trees, and then he nails it by the shirt to the trunk of a tree with pride.

Ulysses looks up at something. "Guys.....look at that. It's a miracle."

James is backed into a corner, looking nervous, as he draws a weapon, and he says "Jane, get out of here, I'll be fine! Go to the place, I'll meet you there."

Devin is being held back by Brett and Emma "YOU SON OF A BITCH, I'LL KILL YOU!" He screams, as crying is heard.

Brock is sitting in a chair, around a table. "So... what am I here for, sir?"

John, Josey, and Melanie are approached by a man holding a machine gun, as they look around. "Um.....John?" Melanie whispers, as John looks around in awe, and Josey whispers "This is weird.... I've never seen anything like it....."

Nothing is seen, it's all smokey, as a figure runs out. "VASILISA!!!" Ballarms yells, as it cuts to black.

  • Seems like everything is still on loose hinges atm, Hopefully some guys can find safety in episode 2.

BTW for Jack you have to be sure not to play him as a douche, he's not rude he's just anxious and doesn't trust himself with people out of fear he'll get them killed

  • I have had a time writing all this, it's driving me crazy. Every sentence sounds contrived, pacing is getting me, getting my point across and having it flow naturally is difficult. And every time I type a letter and it doesn't register on my computer makes me want to kill someone. Ugh, it happens so often, especially with "P" and "E", it's so frustrating. Anyway, part up tomorrow.

  • --MARK--

It had been 2 days since the raid. The group started planning better, and assigning roles, playing to everyone's strengths. Mark had been hunting, finding food, scouting, anything that let him be alone as much as possible. Christian had worked with him since less then a week into the outbreak, and now he was dead, he began resenting the rest of the group, who he was sure thought he was crazy. He was currently out scouting, as walkers and bandits both were huge threats with 1 less person. He heard movement in the trees, so he readied his gun. He slowly moved forward, as he felt like someone was watching him. He moved forward, and saw rusting in a bush. He looked inside, and saw. Someone had thrown a branch into the bush. As it registered, he heard a click behind his head. Someone was pointing a pistol at his head, and he noticed there was 4 others, also with guns behind him. He was wearing a bulletproof vest with a sweater over it, and had 2 knives, a walkie-talkie, another gun, and a bunch of ammo strapped on. The others were a little less covered in protection, so he was clearly a leader of some sort. "Hello. We don't want to kill you. Just give us all that you have, and you may move along." He said, with a slight southern accent. The guy didn't look like an army man, despite his sunglasses and clearly FBI-esque way of speaking and weapons of choice. He seemed more.....thuggish. Like a gang member. He was covered in tattoos, and was wearing a sweater and sweatpants over his bulletproof vest. He had bad hygiene and messy hair, and the way he talked made him seem like a FBI member from a movie, like Men in Black. The others just seemed like regular people, with not much special about any of them, other than a giant scar on one woman's arm, which looked like a slash from a large knife. "Give me the gun." The man ordered, as Mark kept it pointed at him. The guy looked irritated, and more angrily and sternly said "your weapon. Now. We don't have to kill you." Mark stood his ground. He was dead, it was a longshot for him to ever survive this. He saw an opening. There was a tree just to the right of him. He could take cover behind that, and shoot them all down. It was inevitable he would die, but maybe he could get lucky, and kill them all. A large man lunged at him, trying for his gun, as he instinctively shot, hitting him in the heart, as Mark fell behind a tree. As Mark fell, he pushed the dead guy onto the leader, who shoots at Mark, hitting the corpse repeatedly. Mark had done it, he had gotten cover. That's about all he could do, and this was now a suicide mission to try and get rid of the robbers. He was most worried about the leader, but that worry was quickly resolved, as the large guy reanimated, and bit him on the shin. He fell to 1 knee, screaming, as the guy managed to get him on his back, and started tearing trying to his vest apart. One of the goons took out the walker, and Mark popped out and shot him, and the dead leader in the head. The 2 remaining, the girl with the scar, and a fat balding man with a beard, both wised up, and started closing in on mark, shooting at him the whole time. He had the chance to take out 1 of them, and did so, killing the bearded guy with 1 shot to the chest, and then 1 to the head, as the girl pushed him into the tree, as he hit his head extremely hard. She beat him down, he felt himself losing consciousness, as she slapped him, and he stayed awake. She grabbed a knife off of the corpse of the leader, and as Mark tried to stand back up, she turned around. He ran at her, as she stabbed him in the rib cage, while hitting no vital organs. He felt so lucky, however, it still hurt like hell, and he was holding back an intense cry of agony to avoid attracting walkers. She looked down at him, before grabbing the walkie-talkie, and speaking. "Report: Franklin has been killed, and so has everyone else, except for me." She said, and he heard parts of a deep voice with a thick, French accent reply "Has murderer.....neutralized?" "Yes. He is not dead, but will surely die soon. I shall be sure of that." "Good. Take everything.....camp?" She looked quizzically, before answering "Probably. He was armed, and out here for a reason. We'll have Johnathan and I take a look tomorrow." The voice was silent for a second, before replying "sure. We'll do some planning....promotion. Would you...." Mark was annoyed with the cutting out, but she seemed to hear fine, and this just seemed like talk about their group anyway, so he didn't try too hard to listen. She looked astonished, before saying "Yes! Thank you sir! I'l be back soon." She went to walk away, but then remembered Mark was there. Mark was afraid, as she walked over, and almost stabbed him in the head, but didn't. "You're scum, and deserve to suffer to death." she said, before cutting off his index finger, and he screamed, and she walked away, as he lost consciousness.

    --JACK--

Jack had let Devyn stay for 1 night. He was terrified of getting someone else killed, so he didn't let her stay with him for long. But..... wouldn't turning her away also lead to her demise? Just letting her go out on her own? He did not sleep all night, questioning whether to actually let her leave in the morning. She seemed like she could handle herself, which was a point in both columns, and so was her saving him. He would be dead without her, which also tore him, because he wants to help her, but he might get her killed. Jack heard gunshots and screams all night, and saw walkers flood the road, which he was freaked out about. He ended up deciding to just send her away in the morning, as he did pay her back by letting her stay with him for one night, and he would just get her killed. Devyn woke up looking refreshed, as Jack had not slept the whole night. The horde in the street never dispersed, and they were kinda stuck. "Hey, Jack." Devyn said, as Jack quietly said "Yo." 'Did you think about letting me stay at all?" Devyn said, as Jack knew she thought he was a nice guy, so he had to start acting somewhat coldly towards her to get her to leave. "Nope. As soon as that horde disbands, you're out of here." He said, as she frowned a little. It killed him inside to do that, but he had to. She couldn't leave if he didn't act selfish, she would try to get to him, and clearly it was working. Jack looked outside, and saw 1 walker coming towards them. He figured he could take it on, as he went out to go kill it discreetly. He was more tired than he thought, as he stumbled a little, and the walker grabbed him. He tried to struggle free, but he was hungry, dehydrated, and tired, and his knees gave out. He grabbed his ice pick, and jabbed it, but he hit it in the jaw, and it got stuck. Jack was freaking out, and with his 1 option left, in the heat of the moment he shot it in the head, and it died. Devyn ran outside, and saw the corpse, and looked relieved. Jack barely got the pick free, as Devyn looked up. "Shit, Jack, look!" The horde had drawn closer, and Jack panicked. "RUN, INSIDE!" He hollered, as they ran inside, desperately trying to barricade the door. Jack looked at the oncoming horde, and then over at Devyn, who was readying her weapon, and he sighed. "Devyn, get out the window. Run, through the woods, and don't look back. I'll be fine, I'll escape, or hide somewhere, just get out of here, I'm gonna stay here to try and fight my way out. You gotta live. It's gotta be now." Devyn looked shocked. "No! I'm gonna stay here and fight with you! You're my friend, even if you don't want me around!" Jack wanted her to go, but if she wanted to stay, he'd need her help right at this moment. "Devyn...."

"Stay here, help me out. Thank you."

"Go. You gotta live. I'll be fine. Good luck"

    --JAMES--

James had made it quite far on foot, ditching all the walkers back in the street. He had taken a breather, setting her down on a dumpster, as he breathed heavily. Not smoking was a good life choice, and he was happy he didn't. Somehow, he felt confident, and like he was going to live. He looked around. Walkers picked up the scent of dried blood on the back of the girl's head, and on her foot, and James' heart sank. "Shit. I'm so dead. God damn it, give me a break." He picked the girl up, and saw them, the walkers had trapped them in the alley. There was 2 options from here. He could go through the tiny window near the ground, into an office, or into the sewers through a manhole. Both were undesirable. Either they could get in easily to the office, but there's a clear getaway, or they're stuck in the sewers without a plan, but places to go, eventually.

    The Sewers

    The Office

  • Go. You gotta Live. I'll be fine. Good Luck

Better to ensure she lives running instead of dying fighting off impossible odds.

    The Sewers

As filthy and damp as they are, they serve as routes to anywhere in the area, maybe even a hospital if they're lucky,

  • "Stay here, help me out. Thank you."

I WON'T ABANDON A FRIEND EVEN IF IT'S TECHNICALLY HIS CHOICE AND NOT MINE

    The Sewers

They could lead to other good places, which I think is worth more in the long run.

  • --PUNCAKE--

They made a small amount of progress, before their car was out of gas. Ulysses had changed. His anger and aggression was still there, but like an evil mastermind, he had just become cruel and calm, almost depressed, but still enraged. He snapped at Selene and him constantly, and lead with actions not words. Like a boot camp leader, he hit Puncake and yelled at Selene whenever they did something wrong. This had continued for 2 days, which felt like forever, when Ulysses finally had a change of heart. Something lifted his spirits, and it was such a weight lifted off of Puncake and Selene, as Ulysses depressed was draining on everyone. "Guys.....look at that. It's a miracle." It was a sign. A piece of paper with words written on it. It made everyone so happy, it felt like what all of their shit luck was leading up to. It read: "Safety. Security. Survival. Looking for recruits." Ulysses looked almost in tears of joy, as he said "This is it. This is where we're going." Ulysses went off without another word. Puncake debated informing Ulysses about the dangers of this place, and in the end, decided it best to say something. "Ulysses, this could be a trap. I mean, there's a lot of terrible people out there looking to rob survivors, so maybe we should be wary of-" WHACK. Ulysses punched Puncake in the ribs, as he had the wind knocked out of him, and heard a rib or two crack. Puncake fell to the ground, as he felt blood coming out of his mouth, but he quickly wiped it off. "I let you off easy at the apartment, don't make me hurt you again! I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING, CAN'T YOU GO ALONG WITH ME, JUST ONE TIME?!" Ulysses hollered at the top of his lungs, as Puncake tried to stand up, but collapsed. Selene went to go check on Puncake, as Ulysses looked shocked. "Look, Puncake, I'm sorry, I'm jut frustrated, I know you're only trying to help, but please. Let me lead." Ulysses was snapping, and Selene knows it too, and James knew it. Puncake would just take it until it was too much, and leave his best friend happy. Maybe, someday, he will be back to how he was. But until then, Puncake would stand up tall and take the punishment, and right now, they are going to this shelter.

    --KIMIKO--

Kimiko had been living with Brett, Emma, and Garret for 3 days, and they were pleasant members of the team. With Devin as a Lookout, Emma gathering things, Mai and Sakuna staying to watch the fort, this particular day was pretty calm. It was late. Devin had already gone to sleep, and everyone else was just occupying themselves, Emma still had not returned. It was 3 hours of nothing, until Brett was getting ready to go look for her, when she returned, panicked. "THERE IS A HORDE!!! IT WAS ON AN ADJACENT STREET, I LOST MOST OF THEM, BUT I THINK SOME ARE STILL FOLLOWING ME!!!" Everyone as worried, as Garret awoke Devin, and Brett got the weapons. Emma was still shaken, but she helped Mai, Sakuna, and Kimiko pack in case they need to escape. They prepared the bags, everyone grabbed one or two, and they readied themselves. They broke down the door, and everyone stayed quiet, with their weapons readied. They could hear doors being broken down, as Garret started panicking. Brett tried to calm him, but the walkers heard his heavy breathing and started going for the door. He was hyperventilating, and dropped his weapon, now screaming. Brett tried to calm him, as he passes out. And then the door breaks down. Devin is the first to open fire, and the walkers started flooding in. Brett was desperately trying to wake Garret up, and Emma covered them. Kimiko knew it was a lost cause, but she didn't want to give up.....however she may have to.... Garret finally woke up. but barely, as he was woozy. They saw an opening, and Mai yelled "THERE'S TOO MANY! GET TO THE ROOF!" They all went for the opening, with Brett almost dragging Garret, as Sakuna gets bitten on the hand. "SHIT! NO! SAKUNA!" Kimiko yells, as Emma takes out the walker, and Sakuna stands there in shock. Kimiko forces her to keep moving, as she runs, holding her hand. Garret finally got his balance, as the walkers pursued them up the stairs, with Devin in front, then Emma, and Kimiko, Mai, and Sakuna all together, Brett, and Garret taking up the rear. Garret tripped, and the walkers were right in front of him, as Brett turns "NOOOOOOO! GARRET! NO!" Brett grabs Garret, shielding hi from the walkers, as he was bitten on the hip. And then, he threw Garret up the stairs, and was tackled, and devoured by walkers. His screaming and flailing was barely heard, as he was pushing for Garret to "Just go!" Garret began screaming and crying, begging for the walkers to stop, as he grabs his dad's gun, and starts shooting. the walkers turn their attention, and Garret refuses to move, as they come closer. "GARRET, COME ON!" Emma yells, as Devin says "He's not coming. I don't want to be the devil's advocate, but.....he's broken. He lost his dad, and will not move. I'm sorry, we have to go. We can all make it, we just have to go." Sakuna looks shocked "No way! No man left behind! Garret, come on!" "LET'S JUST GO!" Devin says, as Mai sighs "I agree, we have to go, come on!" Garret, screaming and crying, shooting wildly, stood before a walker horde, and his fate, as it's 2-2, is in Kimiko's hands.

    Leave Garret

    Save Garret

    --MARK--

Mark woke up. He was in the prison, with Vasilisa looking at him, and all of his wounds were bandaged. Still hurt like shit, but bandaged. "Oh my god. You're alive. Thank god, I thought you were gone. It's been 4 days, we were all worried." Mark looked at himself. He was pale as snow from all the blood loss, alongside his Irish background. He felt tired, but not too bad. "Arthur found you in the woods a few minutes after we heard gunshots, and if he hadn't, you would have died. You were bleeding profusely, and I was scared." Mark was tired, and he was still tired 1 day later, when early in the morning, jeeps were heard. Mark was the last one outside, as he heard something fall near his feet, and at every other corner of the prison. He looked down, and before he could even process what it was, he dived, and yelled what it was. "GRENADE!" It blew up the side of their infirmary, and smoke billowed out from every angle. Smoke grenades? Hand grenades? Who had this much stuff? Then it hit him. The people who attacked him were decked out in armor and weapons.....oh no. Gunshots, from an AK-47 by the sounds of it, were coming from behind him. Then pistols, shotguns, and snipers were also heard. Mark ran around in panic, as he desperately looked for cover, as he felt a door. He ran inside the door, into the armory. What luck. He grabbed an assault rifle, and took a stand, shooting back, completely in the dark, as every time the smoke almost clears, more grenades are tossed, and the ambush continued. He heard someone run by, and saw their shadow. It was Ballarms, screaming "WHERE ARE YOU, VASILISA?" He ran to the left, but he also heard everyone else's cries of pain, as he realizes, he may be the only one left. He had a bullet take off his ear, and he was sure everyone else was all shot up, so instead of helping everyone out.....he ran. Ran right to the exit.

    --VIOLA--

She had heard the ambush, and was looking for a way to escape her jail cell. She was still injured, and tried everything, as she heard footsteps. "Shit." She said, as Vasilisa rounded the corner, with the keys. She freed Viola, and said "Go. We're under attack. Take this pistol, and escape. Nobody is dying, if I can help it." Vasilisa handed her a gun, and she was shocked. She was a bandit, murdered a team member of their's, and had no remorse about any of it, and would do the same, and probably try to kill all of them if given the chance, and yet this "Vasilisa" gave her food daily, and made sure she was okay, and is now saving her life.... Vasilisa was about to run off, as Viola stopped her. "Wait." Vasilisa turned around, "I'm gonna help you out of here. Follow my lead." Viola and Vasilisa ran from cover to cover, avoiding bullets, and Viola shooting back, as they snuck out, completely unscathed, and together, as Vasilisa looked back. "What's wrong, we made it out ok?" Vasilisa sighed "nothing, and thank you, but I wish we could have saved everyone else...." Viola looked at her, and said confidently "don't worry. If they die, you couldn't have helped, and if not, maybe you could see them again." Vasilisa looked sad, but agreed, and they walked off, looking for somewhere to go.

    --ARTHUR--

Arthur had battered, and bruised, and had taken a few hits, but was in cover. Unfortunately, he was stuck in the cafeteria, but at least he was alive. He broke the window, and made it to a part of the fence that was bent, and tried climbing over it, but unfortunately was shot in the elbow, and plummeted, barely escaping, limping off into the woods.

    --CAPTAIN BALLARMS--

Captain ran around, frantically looking for Vasilisa, and passing someone. He needed to find her, she was the only person who cared about him, and he needed to know she makes it out ok, even if it costs him his life. He shoots at troops, frantically looking for her, as he gets shot at. Evading most of the bullets, he takes 1 to the shoulder, causing him to fall backwards. This was his last stand. He wasn't too badly hurt, but he was right in the middle of the action, and he was going to make it count. Past the narcolepsy, past his MPD, past all of his flaws, he shot at the men on the wall, and hit several of them, as they shot back, shooting him in the legs, arms, and mostly chest, 13 times. He was bleeding out, and with his stomach, most bones, his spine, his kidney, his throat, and his liver, and his joints all shot to shit, he sees Vasilisa and Viola run by, and that's the last thing he sees, before he enters his eternal slumber.

After Captain dying, and everyone else escaping, the troops invade the prison, and one of them finds the immobile walker of captain Ballarms, and shoots it through the forehead.

  • Holy shit there was a lot of death. That is probably going to be the most death and action in 1 part for a while, jeez, I gotta calm down. The point of that was to add insanity and chaos, and lower the roster of people in the story, and change the situation, as why else would they leave the apartment, and I want to do something else with that group, and the prison group is one of the oldest and largest, so I needed to break them up and have them move on. Plus, for action, we still have James' and Jane's storyline, and Devyn's and Jack's storyline, so stay tuned :D

  • --KIMIKO--

Brett sacrificed himself for this kid, he was going to make it. "GARRET, COME ON! PLEASE!" Kimiko yelled, as he shot more, and they came closer. "GARRET! YOUR DAD IS GONE, I KNOW IT'S HARD, BUT HE DID IT FOR YOU! NOW MOVE IT!" Garret was in a trance. Shooting, and that's it. That sentence snapped him out of it, and he looked back at Emma trying to help him, and then at the walkers, and began to panic. He was having another panic attack, so Sakuna grabbed him, and pulled him towards them, getting bitten several times, all over her arms in the process. Her arms were all torn up, and she was in a lot of pain, but she managed to pull Garret into the group, and help them all escape. Several flights of stairs later, they reached the top floor. Sakuna was nauseous, and Garret was sobbing and hyperventilating, so it was fortunate they had an astronomical lead on the walkers. They ran up the stairs to the roof, where Emma and Devin went back, and covered the entrance with a bookcase from an empty room. Garret sat down against a vent, and was quiet, while Kimiko and Mai looked at Sakuna. "Sakuna, no.....can we cut it off?" Mai asked, as Kimiko shook her head "She would bleed out, plus, with what? All of our sharp weapons are drenched in walker guts." Mai sighed, and wiped tears from her eyes. "So...Sakuna. What do you want to do?" Sakuna was woozy. "I would keep.....going, but I might turn on you guys....." She coughed up blood, and then continued "I want to be put down, I can't stand the idea of hurting someone after death..." Sakuna almost passed out, but jumped awake, and tried to stand, but is too weak. "It's only been a few hours, and it's already getting bad-" Mai, clearly crying began, as Sakuna passed out. "We should do it now, while she's out." Kimiko said, as Mai agreed. "Look. I know it's rude, but we need to conserve ammo, we only have a little left. Maybe, since she won't feel it, we could..." Mai said, as she looked over the ledge, about 6 stories down. Kimiko looked shocked, as Mai looked sadly back "Look, it would save ammo, and it wouldn't hurt, she'd die on impact. It's not cool, and wrong, but we need to do things to survive. That 1 bullet could save a life. Kimiko began crying, as Devin stepped up. "I'll do it, no sister should have to do that. Just....say goodbye." Kimiko tearfully thanked Devin, as Mai and her walked up to Sakuna's dying body, and hugged her, and began crying even harder. They looked away, as Devin stepped up. He said goodbye to Sakuna, and then grabbed her by the arms, and dropped her over the ledge. Kimiko and Mai began crying even harder, as everyone sat down, Emma comforting Garret, and Devin comforting Mai and Kimiko, and slept on the rooftop.

That's all for today, a mini part. No choices, sorry, I'm visiting a friend, full part up tomorrow.

    --JACK--

"Ok, Stay here, help me out. Thank you." Devyn quickly points her gun at the door again, as the walkers bust through. They shoot at them, taking out a few, but quickly realizing they're in a bad spot. Jack looks around for something to help them, and sees a table. He picks it up, and swing it at them, throwing it, knocking them back. "THERE! I MADE AN OPENING! LET'S FIND A WAY OUT!" Jack yelled, as he looks around. "DEVYN, LET'S GET TO THE ROOF!" Jack yelled, as he smashed a window, and grabbed the gutter, hoisting himself to the roof.He got there, and caught a foothold in the gutter, as it breaks, and he slides a little, but manages to stay on the roof. Devyn follows, with walkers on her, as she shoots mot of them, jumping, grabbing Jack's outstretched hand, as he pulls her to the roof. They climbed to the highest point, and sat there, as walkers clawed at the building. "Jack....you saved-" "You should have ran. Now we're stuck" Jack said, frustrated, as he put his head in his hands. "We're both going to die. We've gotta wait it out until we starve or are saved." Devyn smiled "Well, at least we can be saved!" She said, as Jack reclined back.

The walkers went after them for 9 hours. They were distracted by the sound of a jeep rolling up. "Hey, Jack. That's it. Our salvation." Devyn said, as Jack was in awe, as 5 people, lead by a woman, all got out in heavy riot gear and opened fire on the walkers. "JUMP!" A high-pitched voice said, as Devyn ran, and jumped off the roof, onto the jeep roof. Jack stood up, and with a deep breath, leaped forward, colliding with the cold, hard ground. Devyn ran over and helped him up, as he had landed 2 feet away from the jeep, as 1 guy got bitten, and pulled into the herd. "JENSON, NO!" The woman yelled, as she looked back. "GET IN THE JEEP, WE'VE GOTTA GO!" Devyn got into the Jeep, as Jack, without thinking got in, and they drove off, as Jack became wide-eyed, as he realized his mistake to join a large group of people.

    --JAMES--

James looked down. It WAS the safest option, but....it was not ideal. He opened the manhole, and climbed down, closing it up again. He ran down the hallway of the sewers, and looks for somewhere to go. Finally, he found it. Worker's quarters, where the people who work in the sewers took breaks. James, aimed his gun, quickly opening the steel reinforced door, as it was empty. Just an old fridge, a small coffee table, a dining room table, a couch, and cupboards. James closed and locked the door, and set the girl down on the large table, as he looted through the cupboards, as if there is food in the sewers, it's most likely imperishable. He found instant ramen packages, tuna cans, canned fruit (Lots of it, peaches, pears, grapes, pineapples, fruit salad, so many treats!), beans, soup, military meals, and lots of assorted items. He put them all in a satchel he carried full of guns, ammo, and food. He heard a grunt, and movement, as he pointed his gun quickly. It was the girl, waking up. "What? Where am I? Ouch! Oh god, my foot and head! Who are you, the hell is going on?!" The girl looked scared and in pain, and James smiled to try and make her feel better. "My name is James, and I found you hurt so I helped you out. This is the worker's quarters in the sewers, it's where we're staying for the night. It's dark as heck outside, so I brought us into a safe area." James had lit candles, which he collected while raiding a supermarket. "I'm Jane, nice to meet you. Where did you find me?" James laughed "In a dumpster." Jane laughed too, and got up to lay on the couch. "So.... you want to travel with me?" James asked, as Jane looked at James. "To be fair, it's already pretty established, I just want to know if you're cool with this." Jane smiled "Why the hell not?" She said, as she stretched out. James was happy to have found somewhere safe, and now, even with a child to keep safe, he felt even more confident about his chances of survival.

    --MELANIE--

John arrived at the mall, and was instantly shocked. The walls around the place were lined with snipers, there's 2 people who are guards. 1 guard, a hispanic man, stopped the car, and said "exit the car, we'll bring it in. Hand over all your weapons, ammo, and food. John complied, and Melanie and Josey followed suit. Josey asked "Can I keep my slingshot and hatchet? They have sentimental value to me." The man looked quizzically, and went inside. Seconds later, he came back, and said seriously "you may keep the slingshot, but no ammunition for it, also, no on the hatchet." Josey reluctantly handed over her pellets and hatchet, as the man nodded, leading them inside. In there, they met a man, he had stubble and messy hair, and was short, and slightly chubby. He was pale, and looked slightly drunk, with a menacing look on his face. "Bonjour. Eh, good day, sorry. Welcome to the safe-zone, I'm glad the you, eh, gave us your time and effort to join our community. We are happy to have you." This man had a heavy french accent, and clearly, English was his second language. " My name is Terrence, the leader of this community. So....allow Jason to lead you to your dorm, and thank you again for arriving." The Hispanic man, Jason, gestured toward the mall. He lead them to a cleaned out shoe store on the ground floor, below where they came in. There was 1 person in there, and he was a male with cornrows, lying down in the corner of the room. There were many bedrolls, each with 1 pillow and 1 blanket. "This is the minimalist newcomer's quarters. You see, everyone here takes part in our community, and we all get assigned daily workloads by Terrence. The more diligent and loyal you are, the faster you are upgraded. We had a man upgraded today, and he's only been here for a few days. So work hard, and you get benefits, like more important jobs, and better living conditions." Jason said all of this monotone and bland, like he was reading a script for the 100th time. "Thank you, Jason." Melanie said, as Jason nodded, and walked off.

    --MARK--

He was out of the woods. He had saved himself, and heard gunshots dying down. Mark walked away, and Finally was to safety, and he heard a scream. "AAAAAGH!" It sounded like Arthur's voice. "Oh shit, give me a break. I'm not doing it." Mark said, running his hands through his hair, as the screams got louder, he knew that he had 2 choices. Go help Arthur, or just leave. He wanted to leave, with everything in his body, but something was making him question himself.....it was dangerous, and he didn't really want to, but he could go help Arthur.

    --ULYSSES--

It had been 2 days of just walking north for Puncake, Selene, and Ulysses. Puncake was still wounded, and Selene was being awfully quiet, and Ulysses knew she was drifting away from him. So they went into a building for supplies, and walked in, and a walker was inside. It was trapped under a TV from the 80s, as it was large, box-shaped, and it was heavy. The walker flailed insanely, as it had it's arms free, but legs and torso crushed. Puncake aimed his gun, as Ulysses shook his head no. "Too much noise and a waste of ammo. Watch this." He said, opening the furnace. He ripped off a piece of pipe out, and walked over to it. He whacked it over the head, as it went limp for a second, and then came back. "A tough little bastard. You watching? This is how we're gonna kill when we're out of ammo." Puncake looked absolutely exhausted, and Selene was looking around, but still paying attention. Ulysses put both hands on the pipe and gave it a massive swing, shattering the bone between the temple and the eye, demolishing the eye, but it continued to flail at him. Ulysses gave it shorter, quicker swings, as in 4 hits, it was limp, and it's head was all over the wall, literally leaving it as a pile of mush. Puncake started looting in the cabinets, tossing fruit and grains, grabbing cans of food. Ulysses pulled Selene, who was looking through the dresser aside, and spoke to her. "You know why I'm doing this, right? Why I'm enforcing strict rules and doing all this work to keep us safe? Why I decided to join this community, and scavenge all the time? Because I love you. I god damned adore you, Selene. You are everything I wanted from day 1 of this outbreak, and you damn well better know that." Ulysses had a look of almost disturbing intent in his eyes, as Selene hugged him tightly, as she said "I love you too, with all of my heart Ulysses." Ulysses looked her right in the eyes, and said, "I could be bitten. Shot, no arms, no legs. I could be on my deathbed, unarmed, against impossible odds. I would search forever for something that doesn't exist, just to make you happy, and keep you safe. I love you, and if anyone ever comes between us, they'll wind up dead, or incapacitated, or WORSE. I don't know where I would be if I had not found you." Ulysses had teared up. Even before everything, when he was still, at least in comparison, sane, Ulysses had never been this emotional. He smoked heavily and drank quite a lot, and was generally in bad health, and often got emotional about things he believed in, but even then, as an average university student with a normal life and problems, not a single tear was shed by Ulysses. This caught Selene off guard, as she hugged him even tighter, and he started sobbing, saying "I love you......don't ever forget it......" Ulysses knew he had not patched things up, he just needed to tell Selene how much she meant to him. Puncake hadn't dared break them up, but when they separated, he said "I looked all over, nothing else, I got it all." Ulysses looked back. "It's not much, but we should sleep here." Ulysses said, as Puncake agreed. "It's clear, and i need some rest. I'll take first watch on the couch, there's a king-sized bed upstairs, you 2 can take it, and I'll wake you up to take watch. They barricaded the door with the couch Puncake was sleeping on, and Ulysses and Selene went upstairs. Ulysses looked at Selene. "We're about to do something, a luxury I had long since the apocalypse abandoned hope on ever doing again." Ulysses smiled, and Selene smiled as well, and they went off to bed...

    • For the record, yes. That last part was really awkward, to both write and probably cringe-worthy to read, but hey. The sex is important to the plot, and implying it made it FAR less awkward then, you know, writing a play-by-play.

    --VIOLA--

Viola and Vasilisa ran out of the woods, onto the road. Vasilisa was perfectly fine, but a lot of bullets came dangerously close to killing her. Viola was about the same health, but she was wary and looking around for walkers, as Vasilisa was catching her breath. "Ok, we have time. They're still attacking us, I can hear the gunshots still." Viola said, as Vasilisa stood up straight. "They have vehicles and we don't though, they an catch up to us, and that would be bad, we should keep walking." Vasilisa said, and Viola agreed. "Vasilisa....you know you need to learn how to defend yourself, right? I know you dislike guns, and want to avoid ever killing a human. But you need to learn how to fight for yourself. You're not stupid. You're my age, and you have the capacity to use a gun, it's just you need to learn to if you want to survive." Vasilisa looked hesitant, but reluctantly agreed, as Viola handed her a small gun, that she saw cops often using. "It's a colt python. A nice weapon in general, and it's all I got. I took stuff from an old cop patrol car, and found it and...." Viola handed her a leather pouch, full of bullets. "I took this from a woodsman's house. It holds all the bullets. It's a lot of ammo." Vasilisa loaded it, and put the pouch in her pocket. They walked on, and Viola talked about how to aim well, and load quickly, as a walker was there, eating a rabbit carcass, and Viola whispered. "Just 1 walker, easy target practice. Now aim, like I said....." Vasilisa aimed, and fired, shooting above it's head. It noticed them. Vasilisa was panicked, as she picked the gun back up, and shot quickly, shooting it in the knee. It fell, and continued crawling slowly. Vasilisa now had more time, so she aimed and got it right on the top of the head. Vasilisa was breathing incredibly heavily, as Viola said "3 bullets......not bad. 1 bullet is ideal, but 3 is okay for a first time killing a walker." Vasilisa looked surprised "I mostly hid before, and tried to stay hidden to avoid any conflict. Remember, I was on foot alone for 6 days before meeting Captain." Viola looked puzzled "where were you before that?" Vasilisa sighed "I was with another group." "What happened to them?" Viola asked, and Vasilisa began the story. "There was 7 of us. Myself, 3 college students, Rocky, who was a know-it-all with ego problems. He was our leader. His sister Clarissa, who was lovable but dumb as a bag of hammers, and had no common sense, and some kid he didn't know named Phil, a British kid who was cowardly and miserable all the time. There was a teacher of Rocky's named George, who was really a voice of reason among us, and then 2 people who joined after I found them. A chef named Freddy, and his wife, Grace. Freddy only cared about himself, but Grace was really generous, and wanted to help all the time. Rocky was our leader by default, because he started the group, holed up in an old Casino. I helped out at the camp, because as you know, I'm no good with guns, and we needed someone to do it. One day George went on a supply run and never came back, so Rocky ordered we go looking for him. We found him. He had crawled into a pile of trash in an alley, and was dying from a shotgun shell he was hit with in the chest. A looter wanted George to take him to the group, and George refused, so he took all of his supplied, and shot him in the chest. George was about to die, so Clarissa shot him in the head, and we all mourned, as walkers started to flood into the alley. We panicked, I saw a ladder, and began climbing. I saw Grace get bit covering the people who were now on the ladder. By the way, it had been raining, it was slippery on the ladder. I knew Rocky was right below me, and Phil, Clarissa, and Freddy were waiting on the ground, shooting. I saw a tall walker approach us on the ladder, as Phil had disappeared off the ladder, and Clarissa and Freddy were at the bottom, a 6 foot tall walker reached up, and grabbed Rocky by the foot, and was destroying his shoe. He tried to kick it off his foot, but slipped, and grabbed my leg, and failed to get his footing. So Rocky was about to get bit, and was only holding on to my foot, I said grab the ladder repeatedly, but he was too busy screaming and crying to me to save him to hear so I....I stepped on his thumb so he would let go. He fell screaming into the herd, and I made it to the roof alone, bawling my eyes out for killing him. I....." Vasilisa was now in tears, so Viola put her hand on Vasilisa's back, and she continued. "I don't know if they're actually all dead. 1 could have escaped, I don't know, all I know is 7 hours on the roof until they cleared, and when I got down, so sign they lived. I saw Grace and Rocky reanimated, feasting on George's corpse, so for all I know, Phil, Clarissa, and Freddy could still be alive and well. I went to the casino, took loads of supplies, no sign of anyone, and I went on the road, when I found the prison, and started again there." This story was long, but Viola wanted to hear it, and Vasilisa felt good to get it off of her chest. an hour later, they stumbled upon a group of 3 people, on the side of the road, bickering. Viola raised her gun, and said "Who are you?" They all looked surprised, but 1 spoke. "I am Desmond, these 2 are Xavier and Autumn. We're from the Warner Robbin air force base. Who are you?" Vasilisa spoke "I'm Vasilisa, this is Viola." Desmond looked at them "Where you headed? We're off to this safe-zone in a mall a few miles away. Would you like to accompany us? It's easier to go in groups, plus, I need some new material, these 2 are getting stale." Xavier looked genuinely angry "Shut up, asshat." Viola looked reluctant, but Vasilisa agreed to go, so Viola lowered her gun, and they head off on the road to the mall.

    --ARTHUR--

Arthur was in the woods, going away from the road. He was shot up, but continued on, avoiding walkers. He called out for help, but nobody came, so he sat down at a tree to rest. He was hurt. Bloodied, shot and dying, but not bit. Yet. He was waiting for death, when he saw a small figure in the distance he hadn't noticed before. He limped over to it, and saw his salvation. The 1 thing he could survive with. A car, more specifically, a minivan, with an almost full tank of gas. Some guy owned this, and he heard him in the woods opposite where he came out, but he NEEDED THIS CAR. The man came out of the woods, and Arthur had his gun ready. The man was skinny and scared looking, with round glasses and red hair. "Hey, stop, that's my car!" He said with an Irish accent and a meek, scared, voice, as Arthur pulled a gun on him, and pulled the trigger. It didn't feel like he killed him though, it felt like he pulled out a black box, and pointed it at his head. He got scared, and looked like he was about to run, so Arthur squeezed the black box really hard, and there was a loud noise, and the man fell onto the tree. He walked over to the guy fell over, and grabbed shiny keys off of him, and put them into a car, and left. It didn't feel like a truly evil deed, it felt like a childish prank, as if that was a little cute trick, like dumping water over his head. no harm done, but hey, he escaped. Arthur rounded the corner, and saw some people taking stuff from the prison he was at, and he thought. "I need stuff to heal me and I'm hungry and thirsty, maybe I can get out and squeeze my black box at them too, and get the stuff I need. Or, I could do it and not squeeze it, but say I will, and they'll give it to me. Or, I could not do it, and leave them be.....choices, choices."

Kill them and take the supplies.

Threaten them and take the supplies.

    Leave them be.
