Why I Sided with ****
She never promised anything from the start - in fact she's pretty overt about looking out for herself (something she's quite good at). Yet despite this she came back in spite of her instinct telling her to leave. She was the only member of the group who wasn't volatile (the only time she lost her temper was when Kenny was losing it in the truck. She didn't betray you like Bonnie and Mike. She didn't constantly undermine group unity like Kenny. She was a lot smarter than any of the others put together.
Anyone who thought it was stupid to force Kenny to reveal his violent instability doesn't take into account the fact that having somebody like that around increases the likelihood that you'll end up dead - either directly or indirectly. It was much better to face what Kenny had become right then and there rather than waiting for him to lose his marbles like Lilly and suddenly kill someone.
I see real potential in her character to become a new 'Lee' to Clem.

Honestly shes lucky she wasnt the one who won the fight cause shed be dead right now. I only stayed with her because alone is suicide (the ending more or less confirms this).
I like her and all but her plan was dumb
We're going to have to agree to disagree on this. Clem is better off with Jane than any of the others. I shot Kenny for the simple fact that he was wrong. I shot him for the same reason I wished I could have shot Lily.
What makes you think it's suicide? I mean we've seen it work before what Clem's doing
If you can't see how Jane was undermining the group and manipulating Clem for the majority of their time together then lol enjoy being gutted and stuffed with Howe's insulation while you sleep by a crazy woman chanting "Jamie" over and over again.
Until the baby starts to cry.
But she's already lasted 9 days without them, who are we to say she can't handle it on our own. I mean Jane even said it herself Clementine has learned enough from people on how to keep her an AJ safe.
Clem lasted 5 minutes on her own in ep 1
She cant feed the baby, she can barely feed herself
The moment that baby cries its over for both of them
Well, taking a baby through a herd hoping to be lucky enough that it doesn't start to cry isn't the smartest thing Clem ever did.
That being said, the Clem and Aj ending is my ending and I'm sure Clem will get lucky. Real lucky.
Her point was completely valid. However, she used Clementine to murder Kenny for her own selfish intention. Whether good or bad, it wasn't reasonable. I left her, principle is important to my Clem. And Jane's principle was so distorted that I'd never be able to trust her again.
We definitely disagree on this point since I agreed with her in principle and in practical terms.
What other choice did she have? She had to do it or they would die instantly. Walking through them was the only chance to survive.
I hate Jane. I never liked her. So I really hope she doesn't turn out to be "another Lee" for Clem, because thats the worst thing that could happen to her. Kenny, though dangerous at times, would never hurt Clem or AJ. He practically begs Wellington to take her in.
I'm sorry but I wish there was an option to shoot Jane myself.
Yeah, perhaps you're right.
Would have helped to know what was on the other side of the herd and if it was worth the risk though. She could have walked around, or turned back.
I'm not sure what Clem's destination is at that point.
Kenny was an unstable, self-centered prick from the start. Either you agree with him or he turns his back on you. I learned that good and well with my Lee. It didn't matter that I made the hard choices for him. I couldn't trust him as Lee and I couldn't trust him as Clem.
Jane is a manipulating bitch who probably would have left the baby behind if she felt like her life was in danger. She is cold and heartless and even though she acts like she cares about Clementine, she would probably leave her behind at some point as well.
Her life was in danger - she didn't leave it behind. She came back for Clem. Everything she told Clem was true. There are a lot of "ifs and maybes" there in regard to Jane. We know what Kenny is capable of.
Yup. He is capable of doing the dirty work and keeping the people he loves safe. He is like the Joel of the Walking Dead series. Which is why he is better than Jane.
I agree with her only cause Clem alone will die, and she's the best mentor for Clem, so.... like Carver said: "We have to find in ourself the strong to forgive people"
You see it as doing the 'dirty work for the people he loves' I see it as violent instability. The only predictable thing about Kenny is that he's unpredictable. He'll go nuts at the drop of a hat.
Groups don't work. Look at s1 and s2 groups. Bonnie/Mike stole from us. Kenny lost his mind. Jane lied. Maybe Clem will live, Maybe she won't but i feel she is better off with the baby then Jane or Kenny. Plus she could cover the baby's mouth when going through a herd.
I shot him and I dont regret it . Like everyone else I was happy seeing him in ep. 2 again , but you cant deny that he changed. I believe something died in him in the moment he lost katja and duck. Remember how he was complaining that suicide is no option for him and he cant understand why someone wants to end it , just because it is to hard for him to handle a hard situation ? He was broken , and each minute he became more and more unpredictable . Even I was scared of his actions . We all saw often enough what he was able to do . I am a fan of the "friendly and kind" kenny , not the "angry and agressiv" kenny. It was hard to shot him , but it would have been harder to watch him becoming a killer and psychopath . The excuse :" he is doing this for the people he loves" is invalid . Lee too did what he could for the people he loved , by not killing , yelling or punching strangers . And kennys "thank you" at the end shows , that he also realized what he has become and was afraid of his own actions .
For Jane :
this text is already waaay to long and i believe i lost the point somewhere . in short , i forgave her and let the family in .
Like crying wolf did ?
In relationships you have to be ready to take at least half the blame for whenever problems arise, and you need to be able to compromise.
Kenny never once compromised or changed his plans on anyone's behalf if they didn't agree, no matter how close they were; and even if he made a sacrifice for Clem and AJ in the Wellington ending, he was only willing to make that sacrifice because they were doing what he wanted, which shows that he didn't really care about doing the "right" thing as much as he cared about being "right".
Being way out in the cold isn't ideal for AJ and Clem; even if Wellington is supposedly a safe place, he couldn't have been sure about it being that or even about its existence.
Jane more than proved that she could do everything that Kenny couldn't by coming back to help us. She didn't normally get herself attached to people, but changed her ways because she saw that Clem could support herself and work well with other people.
For all of Kenny's dangerous tantrums, at least you knew where you stood with him. But I simply can't trust someone who's prepared to manipulate a situation the way Jane did. You didn't know "how far he'd go?" Seriously, Jane?
Exactly its not like she "made" Kenny try to kill her, yes she did hide the baby to show Clem how much of a monster he is but in the end, it is Kenny who chose to try to murder her, murdering Jane wouldn't bring AJ back, Jane pulled her knife out and told Kenny to back off and then she sheathed it which showed she wasn't down to fight but then Kenny was all like "fuck that" and attacked her, he deserved to die.
Kenny purposely shoves Clem out of the way because hes pissed at Jane and due to his anger issues he can determinantly elbow Clem in the nose, not to mention how he emotionally harms her.
a new lee??!are u kidding me?
a bitch who left her own sister ..try to leave 14 years old girl who just lost her father(sarah)
a new lee??
And well... Kenny sucks right?
I chose Jane too, i liked her a lot and she got that stable survival skill, thats enough for me. Kenny deserved that peace finally.
Except that's wrong.
And the ending with Kenny entirely and powerfully debunks this myth once and for all.
Yup give em that points
Wow. Just wow. The lengths you people go to try to turn everything good Kenny does into another reason why people should dislike him, it's... amazing.
Fuck yeah, thumbs up!
There's only so far you can carry someone who doesn't want to be carried. It's not like she abandoned her at the drop of a hat. She carried her sister as far as she could.
I left Sarah, too. Why? Because you can't save people who don't want to be saved. She'd witnessed people dying over lost causes before.
Call her a bitch all you want. She was right more often than she was wrong. Her biggest mistake was coming back at all. She could've saved herself the trouble and heartache. She could have left Clem with the slowly disintegrating group. She could have left them to die in the shootout. She could have done many things that would have served her much better. She'd have been perfectly fine on her own but she in spite of her own advice to Clem she let the group drag her down because she saw a chance at redemption through protecting Clem.
She could have walked around :v
It wasn't about saving Clem and AJ it was about HIM saving Clem and AJ. He couldn't see past his own ego to notice that he wasn't the only one looking out for Clem and that he might be wrong in his decisions.
In a blizzard? Explain to me how you walk around something when you can't even see it.
Her actions in Episode 5 prove that she would do anything to win Clem's loyalty and keep her around. It's the possessiveness on both her and Kenny's ends that push me to prefer Clem to be on her own.
You mean by pointing out the hard truths? Everything she told Clem was true. She's just voicing the concerns many of us already had.
Sarah wanted to be saved. She deserved all the chances I could give her.
Kenny, on the other hand, was provided plenty of chances and the liability he posed was of a more volatile, frightening nature. By Episode 5 he was effectively Carver's spiritual successor and I feared for the safety of anyone Clem was with.
Guy makes a wonderful sacrifice but SOMEHOW in the distorted minds of Kenny-haters this is actually something he can still be blamed for.
Stop it, you're being utterly ridiculous.
