I don't think anyone will ever have the same connection with Clem as Lee did. Not only did he protect her all the time (he even gave his life to save her and I don't think Jane would do that) but he also made her happy, asked how she felt all the time, he had nice conversations with her, he reassured her. Jane doesn't do all of this, and I even think that she manipulates Clem to make her become like her. Lee was a better mentor and influence to Clem.

Lee taught Clementine to shoot (if you remember) which is one of the most important things a child can learn how to do in a zombie apocalypse. Jane taught Clementine literally one thing that I can remember. Sweeping a zombie's leg to bring it to it's knees before you kill it (which we know from experience is not essential, or even optimal , for killing a zombie). Lee taught Clementine that there is not always a 'right' way to do something and that he doesn't have all the answers (a little nugget of wisdom which Clementine has to call upon throughout most of her time in the ZA). Lee taught Clementine what it means to grow up, and I think she learned it well.

To be fair, Lee was cooped up in the motor in with his group for those 3 months while the apocalypse was still new to everyone. All the group really learned was how to keep the place safe from Walkers and use guns(thanks to Lilly) and I believe Lee learned how to hunt, as he describes he didn't really didn't know anything about guns(understandable for a history teacher). He didn't have as much experience as Jane did but was still essential to her survival. Each of her mentors were.
Lee was like a moral guide for Clementine(seen during the dream sequence Clementine had) and taught her some basic steps to keep her alive, while he learned some new things himself. Her father figure of the apocalypse. Christa was her motherly figure of the apocalypse, who also cared for her and kept her alive for two years while teaching her more things, like stitching up wounds or attempting to snow her how to build a fire. Jane, as much as I hated what she did in the end, was Clementine's big sister of the apocalypse. Not as necessarily nurturing as a father/mother figure but still passing down some pretty good tips that'll keep her alive in the future.
