Bonnie is the biggest waste of space. Ever since the beginning she's been a backstabber, weak-willed, and overly needy. She even says the same "oh I'm so sorry" hollow nonsense to Clem that she said to that jilted wife in 400 Days. It comes full circle at that point.
One of her worst qualities is that she always tries to come off as a victim or pitiable. When she tells Clem "I can't help but feel somewhat responsible" for all the Carver chaos, I wanted to slap her in the face; she was DIRECTLY responsible. And you know that's all just a front when she gets pissed at Clem for Luke's death if Clem doesn't try to rush to Luke (which is an idiotic choice). That selfish undeserved rage she shoots at Clem was really the last straw for me.
Not to mention she's stupid as hell... yes Bonnie, run up to Luke on ice that clearly doesn't need more weight put on it. Why couldn't she have tossed him a rope from her bag to pull him to safety? Oh that's right, because the only "supplies" in her bag are cigarettes and a giant bottle of rum. Priorities.
The other annoying thing is that Bonnie's always trying to cling on to any available guy... she was okay with having an affair with a married man (regardless of how you make Bonnie talk in 400 Days later, it's clear there was some degree of an affair going on), and she assumes she and Luke are an item just because he told her he was vaguely "sorry" for past events. Being sorry doesn't mean it's an open door to start a relationship again... and yet she is pissed at Clem as if she had resumed something important with Luke. And in the previous episode she was also flirting with Mike, which we could assume she would try something with him after they'd run away from Kenny and Clem.
And the running away bit... she was totally ok with taking every scrap of supplies and totally screwing over Clem and the others. It was only Mike who dropped his bag.
She's a parasite. And I'm honestly glad she's a determinant because that means she won't ever survive to the end.
I agree. I was fucking pissed at Kenny in EP. 4 and couldn't wait to have the final choice so I could choose Luke. (Oh, wait, look what happened.) But in the end Kenny redeemed himself for what happened IMO. And Bonnie, fuck, she blamed you even though it was her fault and then left you to die after trying to steal all the groups things. Supplies and truck. But, we could place equal blame on Mike for the supplies and the truck. But I still like Mike. He could still be redeemed IMO.
Well, I can't speak for everyone. But I was livid with Kenny just as I am with Bonnie.
The big thing that separates the two however is that Bonnie later tried to abandon Clementine, AJ, Kenny, and Jane. That adds a lot more fuel.
In my game, I tried to cover Luke first, because Luke was practically begging me too, so when I did, I regretted it because Bonnie fell in, so I replayed it and did the other option, help him, which I liked over the cover him in my opinion.
But either way, I still hate Bonnie. She likes to put the blame on someone younger than herself, because she doesn't want to have to deal with the fact that she's the one who got Luke killed, Clementine just so happened to be there, so of course Bonnie blamed it on her. Bonnie needs to learn to not be so childish, and take responsibility. We're not the ones that ran off into the ice that was breaking, that was thin and would break... Especially after Bonnie says Clementine is smaller and she could do it, Bonnie still goes out after him anyway.
I agree, Luke would probably be ashamed, Bonnie blaming his death on an 11 year old girl, who he cares about so much, we all know Clementine didn't get him killed....
No what I meant was when you cover him, and it plays out, you see him physically dead in front of you floating in the water (despite it being barely 10-15 seconds under water). Whereas when you help him you only see him dragged down.
But yes covering him without Bonnie being a cunt would mean he would have pulled himself out probably.
I think it's just the fact that if you cover Luke, that Bonnie get's pissed off with YOU when the ice breaks when she walks on it, because it's "your fault because you're lighter and you had a chance," I mean, I guess it's cause she's blaming someone else for what she did, that's why some of us are mad with Bonnie.
Not trying to be a Bonnie Apologist or anything, but something that has me curious...
Why are you mad at Bonnie, Luke was dead either way, it was his destiny to die in that water. Just accept it and move on.
Well, I don't see that as a jerk thing to do, because if he didn't like Bonnie, and they weren't in a relationship, I don't see why he can't screw Jane if he liked her. Bonnie's feelings might've gotten hurt sure, but she seemed fine with it at the campfire, I think she was used to the idea of Luke not returning her feelings actually, so insensitive maybe, but not a jerk move.
And yeah maybe she wasn't thinking straight, but she still shouldn't have offered it to Clem. Even if Kenny was upset, he wouldn't have done something similar, he was the only one who was against Clem drinking after all, and he was the one that could've used a drink the most in that situation. It was just a dumb move on Bonnie's part.
And you're right, Bonnie is a coward, but if she did like Clem or trust her, she probably could've trusted Clem with a secret, especially if your Clem trusted her with the walkie talkie secret.
I honestly don't think Luke liked Bonnie as much as she liked him.
He didn't. That is the reason why Luke apologized to Bonnie, beca… moreuse he knew she had feelings for him, and he screwed Jane. It was a jerk thing to do.
you don't offer children cigarettes,
She was having her Kenny moment. She wasn't thinking straight. As a addict she was smoking to relieve stress, she probably thought that Clementine could use one after everything that went on.
And she had the perfect opportunity to ask Clem if she wanted to go with them
Bonnie is a coward. She probably was afraid Clementine would tell Kenny they were trying to steal the supplies and run off in the truck.
I think it's just the fact that if you cover Luke, that Bonnie get's pissed off with YOU when the ice breaks when she walks on it, because i… moret's "your fault because you're lighter and you had a chance," I mean, I guess it's cause she's blaming someone else for what she did, that's why some of us are mad with Bonnie.

To me it was just Bonnie having her Kenny Moment. She cared about him, she is going to vent a little.
Well, I don't see that as a jerk thing to do, because if he didn't like Bonnie, and they weren't in a relationship, I don't see why he can't screw Jane if he liked her.
Well maybe he was sorry for the way she found out. I can understand why she would be upset, I've had my share of Luke situations and they never end well.
Kenny was upset, he wouldn't have done something similar
In my mind she was looking at Kenny and seeing Carver, she was probably scared of him. She never trusted Jane either, if you pay attention to the way Jane tries to segregate Clementine from the group when they're having their "private" talks, she would always say something like, "Keep up you two slowpokes."
Clem or trust her, she probably could've trusted Clem with a secret, especially if your Clem trusted her with the walkie talkie secret.

Bonnie was having her Kenny Moment, you should of known better to talk to a woman with a cigarette in her mouth, after bad news. It was a clear sign of disaster. Especially after she let the words out, i like Luke at the fire.
The important difference however, is that even when Kenny has a "Kenny Moment" he still cares about Clem in the long run. Once Bonnie was pissed at Clem it's as if she couldn't care less about Clem from that point on. Clearest indication is how she won't care when you get shot.
Also, when we're playing it through the first time, it's not obvious that Luke would die either way in that situation. The intelligent thing would be to not put any additional weight on that ice, and yet Bonnie puts at least 120-ish pounds of weight on that thin ice. I'm mad at Bonnie because she was irrationally mad at me. I wish there had been a dialogue choice where I could call her out on her shit though.
I think it's just the fact that if you cover Luke, that Bonnie get's pissed off with YOU when the ice breaks when she walks on it

Luke was the glue that held the group together. His death meant there was less for Bonnie to stick around for, especially after being scared of Kenny.
Not to mention, there was no time for them to devise a plan of escape. They were either in the middle of a shootout, travelling as a group, or trying to cross the ice. The campfire was a nice scene for all of them - they let their guards down for the first time in awhile. They had no reason to leave (even if they were getting annoyed with how Kenny treated Arvo).
Luke was dead either way, it was his destiny to die in that water.
I think it's because even though we know he was doomed either way, the characters didn't. Bonnie completely goes against everything she's being told not to do and screws up his only shot of making it out. Granted, she probably was panicking because she had feelings for Luke and didn't want to see anything bad happen to him but still. Bonnie's very impulsive and that costs him his life.
Not trying to be a Bonnie Apologist or anything, but something that has me curious...

Bonnie is damn hypocrite.
"I know I betrayed you, but I swear on everything holy that'll never happen again."
Tries to take all of the… more supplies and leave in truck with Mike and Arvo
Yeah, you'll never do it again, my ass. I regret cheering for her and Mike when Episode 4 came out.
I felt relief he was dead... to not see what his beloved Bonnie became.
I actually feel like she wouldn't have done what she dead if Luke was still alive.
Well, I don't see that as a jerk thing to do, because if he didn't like Bonnie, and they weren't in a relationship, I don't see why he can't… more screw Jane if he liked her. She didn't seem to assume they were a couple. It's normal to get pissed if your friend or crush needs you, that doesn't mean you assume they like you, also chatting with Mike is flirting?

Clementine never asked for Luke to die, she didn't want it. Clementine has yet to vent either, which shows resilience to that kind of immature behavior.

The 100% dead if you cover him? I respect your opinion but isn't there a slight chance he'd manage to crawl out on his own?

Bonnie was nice to me so I still like her, though for other people her shift in attitude is odd.
Well, the only one who wasn't dead by episode 5.

That's exactly it, its just human. She's just mourning over it and in complete denial.
Well maybe he was sorry for the way she found out. I can understand why she would be upset, I've had my share of Luke situations and they never end well.

LOL, it's funny because it's her own fucking fault. Dumb bitch
Still doesn't give somebody the right to place all the blame solely on one person, when it wasn't that persons fault to begin with.
I really don't care if she was a monkey with a firecracker in her mouth.
I wanted to see how she was holding up, then was immediately regretful of that decision once she started talking that bullshit.
The important difference however, is that even when Kenny has a "Kenny Moment" he still cares about Clem in the long run. Once Bonnie was pissed at Clem it's as if she couldn't care less about Clem from that point on. Clearest indication is how she won't care when you get shot.

Definitely afterwards.

I firmly believe that Luke would have defended Clementine considering if you chose to Cover Him, you were doing what he asked you to.
Fuck her.
Bonnie is damn hypocrite.

Tries to take all of the supplies and leave in truck with Mike and Arvo
Yeah, you'll never do it again, my ass. I regret cheering for her and Mike when Episode 4 came out.
If all of them come back in Season 3... "You and 100% of players killed Mike, Arvo, and Bonnie"
"You and 100% of players knew luke wasn't dead and were proven right"
Please?
And then there will be a power struggle between Christa and Luke and Clem will have to pick a side.
That's what'll happen.
power struggle?
AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
luke everytime
Everything comes to light sooner or later.
In which I will be pro luke.
And then there will be 'Christa VS Luke" threads all over.
And in those threads there'll be comments like...
"WHOEVER PICKS CHRISTA SHOULD DIE"
"NO FUCK U CHRISTA IS BETTER
Probably made by me
She seemed sad in the camp scene, hence much alcohol drinking if Luke and Jane are talked about
She didn't seem to assume they were a couple. It's normal to get pissed if your friend or crush needs you, that doesn't mean you assume they like you, also chatting with Mike is flirting?
Lol, and I'll be watching.
I will be there!
But not likely since I will be focusing in school.
It's not like they do it on purpose, for the lulz or they believe it. It's venting
It just seems to me that people are blaming Bonnie for trying to save Luke. There was no saving him,
Venting on an eleven year old girl.
Clementine never asked for Luke to die, she didn't want it. Clementine has yet to vent either, which shows resilience to that kind of immature behavior.
