favor for kenny?lol. It was so obvious that they want us to kill him since the start of episode 4 making him mentally broken and all the characters: jesus he is insane, is dangerous.
For a game made of choices it was pretty obvious what they wanted us to choose one option between kenny and jane
"lee you don't matter, Kenny will replace you and have a happy ending with Clementine. Oh and Duck and Katjaa, you don't matter either, kenny will replace you as well. It's all about Kenny in the end."
I like this thread and I agree with it completely. I like Kenny. I really do. But his character overshadowed over characters. At least the development of others was good enough to make me care for them.
One of the reasons I shot Kenny, left with Jane, got back to Howe's and started a new community is exactly it - getting rid of Kenny in the story. And I like Jane. I know her arc will be interesting and I can't wait for Telltale to develop her more in S3! As well as Randy, Gill and Patricia.
F that. Really, F THAT. Kenny ruined season 2 and has ruined the ENTIRE story of season 1 with the lovefest and fan fiction that was Season 2. I'm glad he's determinant now, really I AM. Thank god.
To be honest, he along with Clementine where the only salvageable things from S2. IMO.

Wow, about 2 years ago, I heard the same old grind about different things fans didn't like and blame on TellTale. I'm sad to say that I am a member of a fan group that REALLY NEEDS TO GROW UP! I hope all of you whiners never come back for Season 3. But, that's just wishful thinking.
Well, there were nice characters like Luke, Nick or Carver, but I think overall this season has been a bit of a disappointment. It wasn't bad but I couldn't feel the magic like in S1.

I agree one of the things that I think writers should avoid is trying to overly please their audience. Kenny really hijacked the spotlight and what little development the cabin group and Carver got was squandered. They just made everything about Kenny. He got to brutally murder Carver (even though apart from his eye injury there was no real link between them) he went through Katjia 2.0's death again with Sarita, he blamed Clementine for it and lashed out at her. The cabin group who had interesting set ups became background characters apart from Rebecca, Sarah, Nick and Luke and even most of their character development didn't really go anywhere apart from Rebecca and I guess Luke. That whole Carver/Rebecca/Alvin love triangle didn't go anywhere because it was never explore, given how villainy Carver is and his line of "don't act like you didn't love every second of it" implies that he raped her or at least coerced her into sleeping with him and that would've been interesting especially if you chose to blackmail Rebecca but it's just dropped . Alvin and Carver are dead and Rebecca dies shortly after. Sarah is killed off in an extremely half ass way and gets practically no character development. Basically the whole season pretty much revolved around Kenny and I feel like most of the players like him only for the nostalgia to be honest, I mean I helped Kenny when I could but from the few times I didn't help him he held it against me. He was even willing to sacrifice Lee to the walkers if you chose to not kill Larry so I wasn't exactly as thrilled to see him.
Honestly, this season would have been fine if the writers didn't have a Kenny infatuation. I would have done it like this. Make it so Kenny … moredoesn't wake up in time for the group to leave Howe's, so they have to abandon him in the end, leaving his status unknown and the character possibly alive or dead. A great series doesn't listen to it's fans every whim and need (see Game of Thrones). A great series will do everything in its power to create compelling characters and relationships and not giving one specific person special treatment. Great development of Cabin Group and Carver early who got screwed over by the large trainwreck that was Kenny.
Is this a joke? Determinant characters never end well in this series.
I DO wish we get to see Gill again, as a boy Clem's age is a welcome sight, but I think Telltale shot themselves in the foot by giving Clem multiple endings.

Which is why I made the decision not to buy Season 3 whenever it comes out. I do realize that he's determinant now and I know that he won't be in MY Season 3 seeing as I killed him, but guess what Telltale... You're 5 episodes too late. It's too late to apologize. Killing Luke off is unforgivable. Turning Season 2 into a Kenny lovefest is unforgivable. I'm done. And a lot of people I know are too.
You know, a couple of days ago I wrote a long ass letter to Telltale. I wanted to let them know that they completely screwed one fanbase (Luke) over but kept feeding the other one (Kenny) with a silver spoon. I wanted to let them know how wrong they were. I was this close to clicking the Send button but then I realized, I'm not a Kenny fan. What's the point? They're not gonna care about my opinion. I decided not to send it.
Best of luck w/ Season 3. God knows you're gonna need it.

Ahem Ben, Carley and Doug were determinant and actually were done well in their possible deaths.
Eh? If your dad dies and you are raised by an uncle does that devalue your dad?
Even Lee wasn't Clem's dad to begin with. Did Lee devalue her parents?
I respectfully disagree with your post. I thought Kenny's interactions with Clem as uncle and niece were what carried the otherwise weak story in Season 2. As someone who loved the relationship between Lee and Clementine, I was very happy to have the Kenny-Clementine relationship (apart from his unrealistic return from a likely death in Season 1). Perhaps you didn't like either relationship?

How can they screw over a fan-base that only exists because you like a character? TellTale can do whatever it wants with its characters. Luke died. Get over it. The only character that really truly mattered in the end was Clementine. Not sad to see you go.

I'm not talking about at the end of Episode 1.
I'm talking about right after he 'died'

I find this opinion pretty interesting. But i agree. I guess kenny even overshadowed lee a bit.
Not the only.

There's a variety of opinions about this season, I liked it a lot, but you can never create something as good as season 1.
Every complaint somehow gets linked back to telltale's apparently bad writing. I guess I'm one of the complainers but telltale did a good job to me.

Criticism is immature.
But telling critics to 'grow up' isn't.
I see.
thanks claptrap for your wisdom, your minion appreciates it !! :P

The lucky part was that she was cremated!
Lets kill him Oregon Trail style!
This will be Kenny's game over screen.
Pete and Alvin were pretty well done too, in my opinion.

From what I've read, it was Jane who was originally supposed to die in the ice. Jane (not Kenny) became Luke's replacement, as Mike became Nick's.
It was originally going to be a choice between Luke and Kenny at the end.
I meant live long.
so she'll maybe need a glass of water for hydration
And some super glue. :P
Actually it is. I'm telling them to be mature. How is that immature?

Who's Gill?
Black Duck.
