Who would be a better caretaker for Clementine, Carver or the Stranger?
Who in your opinion would take better care of her?
Edit: There is now a new choice, Maybelle. I have also created a strawpoll to vote on. http://strawpoll.me/2901547

Well, considering Stranger was implying raping her to start a new "family", I'd probably go with the murdering pshycopath.
Carver, the stranger "wanting to start a family" with Clem doesn't sound so appealing to me.
LOL not even close. Carver had the personality of a violent dictator. He was evil, sure but you could still work with him. The Stranger was straight up hair on fire, bat shit crazy. He could love, and protect Clementine one day, and cut off her head and wear it as a hat the next.
Carver
Oh boy.
I think The Stranger was on a level of derangement that Carver could never even dream to reach. Also, to those saying he was going to 'start a new family' with Clem, I always assumed he meant he'd just take care of her like a daughter...if that was actually referencing rape I feel like an idiot for not catching it and second I'm now highly unsettled.
The Stranger was so unpredictable and was obviously having some mental breakdown, so not her. If it happened to where it was Carver and Clem on the road, Carver could easily do what was necessary to protect her.
...Yeah, I know that feeling, bud.
I prefer Carver as a character so that, I guess.
Come to the dark side, Clem.
Wow... I... never thought of it like... that? Maybe?
Why the quotations?
Carver.
I would have to say Carver, look I know Carver was an asshole but the stranger was just..... out of his mind, he had no idea what the hell he was doing, he locked Clementine up in a room, he put his wife's head in a bag and was talking to it...... im gonna have to say that Carver was an asshole but I would trust him to take care of Clementine then that stranger.
I would hope though that Carver didn't make Clementine have the same personality as him.
Stranger doesn't seem much like the fighting type, and isn't as mentally strong as Carver is. I'd have to go with Carver, mainly because Clem would become a lot mentally stronger if she were to be with him. Clem's chances of survival would increase a lot.
I don't think the Stranger had anything like that in mind. He dressed her up as his son and compared her to his daughter, so he clearly sees her as a replacement offspring rather than as a replacement spouse. Besides, his wife would get jealous.
Also, there were implications that Carver may have raped Rebecca. And given his interest in Clem as being strong like him (remember one of the things he said about Rebecca that she was a strong woman surrounded by weak men), I wouldn't rule out that possibility with Carver.
Are we talking out on the road or in a compound? Or does it depend on the person? If it depends on the person, definitely Carver because compounds are relatively safe. If we're talking on the road, I'm actually gonna go with the Stranger on this. If push comes to shove, he actually does seem like he'd be willing to give his life for Clem, whereas there's no way in hell Carver would do that. His devotion to her also means that it's easier to manipulate him, whereas Carver would be more likely to try to control Clem.
It wasn't implied rape, that's a far stretch.
Carver.
Carver for sure.
Carver the stranger was a little bitch
Carver.
Carver. The Stranger was absolutely nuts
Carver and Clem could become evil together. I think that could of been interesting. Carver could completely warp her mind but hey at least her head wouldn't end up in a bag...probably
This answer is simple, I don't even have to do the math. NONE OF THEM Clem is better off on her own.
"I can take care of myself!" -Clem (All That Remains)
