Okay Let's Be Serious

Okay now let's be serious. If Luke suddenly came back in Season Three, no joke, no dream, no hallucination or anything. He was alive and said he was either too cold to move before he warmed himself up, or managed to just get out of the walkers grip and swim up before being cornered and having to go the other way and make a campfire to warm himself up. He was back, officially. With nothing seen as a joke or anything, even if it was poorly explained.

Would you be okay with it?

  • No I would not be okay with it. He was a great character, one of my favorites, but to bring him back would be awful. He died in the lake and it would make zero sense for him to somehow magically survive. And don't say anything about Kenny because you clearly see Luke dead, so he's not coming back. So no, I wouldn't be okay with it.

  • Thank you. I would find it dumb too, but a lot of people on here and in the general community really don't seem to mind bringing Luke back and I'd like it (since he's back) but it just wouldn't feel right, if you know what I mean?

Well you could say that he isn't clearly dead. He might be unconscious... I know it sounds stupid but I hope on that until I see his walker.

  • Yes I do and you're right. But I think for the most part they're joking. They know he's dead but they joke about bringing him back.

  • I would be ok with it to a certain extent. I would really want Luke back since his death was just to break the group apart but I don't think I could deal with a explanation that was poorly explained. It would be nice to see him in season 3 and for him to get some more development, the problem with that is he could overshadow other characters like Kenny did so... yea.

  • [Sweats nervously]

  • It'd make about as much sense as Kenny coming back from the dead and hijacking the entire progression of season two's plot.

So, no I wouldn't have a problem. It's unfortunate that after this lackluster season, I'm just ready to be disappointed and more willing to throw entire explanations out the window in a vain attempt to get behind the ludicrous amount of plot-holes and half-assed reasons for things that are contextually very important.

So, have Luke come back so that we can have more "shocking" segments that underlie that the world is desperate and bleak.

    Fuck it

  • It would be kind of immpossible, like if Carley would come back, okay maybe not that drastic but i would not like that. I didn't really like his character anyway so in my opinion not only that would be an imposible mission but it would kinda ruin my game :p

  • I'd be a little confused/angry, it would have to be one hell of an explanation from Luke. We saw him die and everyone talked about it like it was curtains for Luke and then we suffered the consequences from his death. Where as Kenny situation Lee could say that maybe he made it out of there and we never saw Kenny actually die. Luke was definitely one of my favorite characters from S2, but bringing him back would be a stretch.

  • Being surrounded by walkers with the camera moving away at an angle you can't see is one thing, but there is no way you can pull off submerged in freezing water with a walker clashed on your foot and had about 1.5-2 mins under ice without water. I would seriously question TTG's storytelling integrity if they tried to do that.

    I'd accept it without question.

I just want Luke back, I'm not ashamed to admit it. And considering some of the other dumb shit that happened this season, I'll believe anything at this point.

You mean you already don't? Having a "fan favorite" return into the narrative just to be bruiting and angsty and occupy space while infinitely more appealing characters are shamelessly killed off to make way for his fan's ego isn't reason's to suspect that TellTale has some issues in their writing staff to address?

Luke's ghost returns to the mortal realm and is able to inhabit and control other characters on his will, allowing for a seamless integration of multiple playable characters

Then Carver's ghost finds his way back and the two have a spectral duel and Luke kicks his spectral ass

This is the only viable course of action to save the story telltale hire me

    okay let's be serious

I'm serious here, He's declared DEAD. His death was planned in the season 2 finale way before episode 1 from season 2 was released!

    Wrong guy.

  • They won't bring Luke back like they did with Kenny, just because the fans like / liked him.

  • Kenny also had a 'death' that, from a pure writing standpoint, was completely ambiguous. You would not write a 'death' like that if you did not plan to carry the character over to the next season in some capacity.

Why would you go through the trouble of making him go off-screen in both, give the players options to say "maybe he got away" in both, make him not scream out in agony and instead have a more "resigned" fate in both, and above all, do a pick-up session with the voice actor to remove and re-record 'death' sounds/lines? If you can honestly look at all of that and say 100% without a doubt that he died, then I just don't know.

They won't bring Luke back like they did with Kenny, just because the fans like / liked him.

  • Not sure who you're talking about..... I don't believe in god if that helps my case.

    Wrong guy.

  • If TellTale brought Luke back it I was just stop playing due to the stupidity

  • I would think "Oh, come the fuck on Telltale."

  • We witnessed Luke drown from point blank, Kenny wasn't in screen when he "died".

Luke is declared dead, his death was planned before the release of season 2 episode 1.

So yeh it's not possible. unless revival is possible in the walking dead, and then EVERYTHING is questionable.

I'd accept it without question. I just want Luke back, I'm not ashamed to admit it. And considering some of the other dumb shit that happened this season, I'll believe anything at this point.

  • I know, I've been on this website a good amount of time and should really change this picture, but I do like Brock Samson...some day I suppose.

  • Id love for him to come back but i just cant see how thats possible but..wait for it... what about aliens (not joking) in walking dead 400 days in shels story you can see a ufo (search it on youtube if u havent seen it) and what if the aliens randomly picked up luke to do tests and brought him back alive

Exactly, it's made clear that he's currently preoccupied with not being among the living.

We witnessed Luke drown from point blank, Kenny wasn't in screen when he "died".

  • Most fans liked kenny

we saw luke go down with our own eyes where as kenny was left unknown we didn't see him die bringing luke back would make less sense

  • No. If Luke comes back I will not purchase any Telltale games again ever, eat least not unless one of my friends pushed it on me.

I liked Luke; for real, but that would be so fantastically stupid that I'd just straight up assume that they don't care about their games at all anymore.

  • I'd be as fine as hell.

No questions asked, no screaming at the game, nothing.

    I will embrace my Luke.

And I will not deny it.

(How fucking edgy have I gotten with this?)

  • No because i want fucking Nick to come back instead.

  • I liked Luke, but no I wouldn't be okay with that because of the reason that if you deicde to cover Luke and Bonnie tries to help him, when you smash the ice to try and get them free from underwater and you fall in you see Luke there dead, and motionless mouth open, eyes open dead there and there's nothing you can do about it...

The answer to your question is, no I would not be okay with Luke coming back as a real person in Season 3.

  • "Luke?!! How is this possible?"
"Well Clem, it's one hell of a story. I was trapped under the ice, my heart stopped beating, my brain was dead, my whole body was frozen and there was a walker holding my legs. For a second it didn't look good for me... but I got lucky. Really lucky. What's been happening with you?"

    Sorry I had to.

  • If they made it that someone saved him while we were in the house and warmed him up, I'd accept it.

well that's cheap of them.. and dissaponting about the company... meh..

  • We are more likely to see Arvo than Luke/Kenny.
