Wellington exists, has always existed and will always exist, therefore he was right. The boat also existed but got fucked over by the Vernon's group. If there wasn't always an idiot interrupting his plans everyone would be ok.
curiosity asks, what makes you think telltale wont even do the shitty "kill jane/kenny off in first 15 minutes" thing, most of us would rather have that than a canon ending
personally i don't hate kenny but i can see why people do having played a playthrough where i sided against him he is a complete asshole overall so i can see how people can hate him if that is how their main playthrough went but me siding with him resulted in him being my bro and i am with him until he gets the treatment every determinant character gets since he is the last old survivor (stop killing off everyone telltale!) what i don't agree with is when people mindlessly blame him for things he had nothing to do with or try to just blame everything that was bad on kenny (example someone said in another thread that basically nearly every main character death in season two was in some way kenny's fault)
but i do have one question for the haters that may make me sound like a fanboy
for those who hate kenny because he only cares about his family do you hate rick grimes? and i don't mean the tv show one i mean the original rick grimes the comic one because believe it or not there was a point where rick openly admits that he only cares about carl's safety and that if others had to die so be it (it was somewhere around volumes 12-17 i can't remember the exact issue it has been a while) of course that has changed now since he is the leader of a huge community but that isn't the point

No one's opinions is more right than others. Personally i left with Kenny because I still like him even though he is a psychopath nutjob, but to each his own.

YAY CAPTCHA!
He's more stereotypical than racist. If he was truly racist, he would never have been friends with Lee in my game. As I said, he's more stereotypical than racist, like calling Arvo a "fucking commie piece of shit."
rac·ism
/ˈrāˌsizəm/
noun
noun: racism
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specifi… morec to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
•prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
Kenny: "Can you pick a lock?"
Lee: "Why would you say that?"
Kenny: "Cause, you're, you know. Urban."
By definition, Kenny is racist. Whether that line was there to be comedic or not, the implication of that line as well as others throughout season one and two would prove him to be bigoted.
you.....its a game based around choices you like, its basically a choose your own adventure book in videogame form, there is no canon ANYTHING that are based on player decisions. its almost like you want only that ending to come into play and dont want kenny to even exist for people who still like kenny and kept him
I don't think Kenny is a true racist either, he might not be the most PC person, but i don't believe in his heart he hates anyone because of their skin color. He has many other reasons at his disposal.
He's more stereotypical than racist. If he was truly racist, he would never have been friends with Lee in my game. As I said, he's more stereotypical than racist, like calling Arvo a "fucking commie piece of shit."
I backed him up on almost everything and he still didn't help me. I even dropped Ben my second playthrough and he didn't help me, he's hypocritical and unreasonable.
Now I see everything. Mention "KENNY" or "JANE" in this forum and BOOM! You guys at each other's throat.
Personally I don't hate Kenny. Yeah he can be a real peace of shit sometimes (HE ADMITTED IT). I just can't hate him, I respect him. Why? Because Kenny is a good character development throughout Season 1 and Season 2.
Remember when he can beat you up on the train oer Duck's bite condition? He hated Lee but in the same time, he also confess that he didn't know what to do about his son. This shows him that he's just angry, confused and in a state of denial.
Remember when Sarita died? Clem just wanna calm him over but he eventually yells and to some people "being a jerk"? The dude just lost his third person he loved. Some people can't handle it you know. He's cracking his head at that moment. Seeing AJ and Clem for him is a "light" for him, a reason for him to move on.
Just my two cents right here. To be honest, I hate Jane, Bonnie and Arvo more than Kenny.

Didn't take you long, probably should take that as a warning to not bring up Kenny or Jane.
kenny's racism is very mild and isn't very hostile, (except in arvo's case, but he wasn't just targeting him for be 'a commie piece of shit') but it's still racist nonetheless because he literally just generalized that lee knew how to pick locks because of his skin color. mostly because of how you can read into it; think of the implications as to why he thinks all 'urbans' would know how to do that...
also, you realize people can still be friends with someone of color and still be racist, right?
He's more stereotypical than racist. If he was truly racist, he would never have been friends with Lee in my game. As I said, he's more stereotypical than racist, like calling Arvo a "fucking commie piece of shit."
for those who hate Kenny because he only cares about his family do you hate rick grimes? and I don't mean the tv show one i mean the original rick grimes the comic
If Rick from either is a self-appointed judge, jury, and executioner. A hypocritical shithead that dislikes anyone that chooses pragmatism over radical extremist ideology. Or a cruel overly violent redneck that shouts profanities at young children cause of a death that was more his fault than hers, then yes. Or has a fan-base becoming laughably more and more thick-skulled and bitter towards others' opinions. Than yes, Fuck Rick Grimes.

I like Kenny because despite moments where it appears that he might have had a mental break and entered a fit of psychotic rage, he does have your back at several key moments in both seasons as long as you have his. Some people hate it because they feel that the second season basically revolves around Kenny and to an extent, it does. The goal with Kenny's character in my opinion was to produce a deeply flawed character that you can trust and then strain that trust with conflict (practically never between the player and Kenny but rather from other members of the group and Kenny) to invoke an emotional response from players. Who will remain loyal to Kenny throughout the game despite his issues? Who will take a stance against Kenny even though they like him? Who will hate Kenny after seeing him teetering on the border of psychosis?
I think half of it is perception. For instance, I don't feel that Kenny's harsh treatment of Arvo is entirely undeserved after he helps ambush the group and then takes off running at the edge of the lake. It seems like an excellent reason to be angry from my perspective, although he does go too far at times.
I think the devs mainly tailored the story around the relationship between Clem and Kenny to see who would still support Kenny even when they didn't agree with his actions and to see how far the loyalty would stretch. I'll admit that it does seem horrible to let Kenny stab Jane, you have to wonder what Jane's real motivations were after you find out the truth about AJ. I'm sure lots of people shoot Kenny only to have their perspective changed when they find out that Jane lied and then provoked Kenny into a fight almost guaranteed to result in someone's death.
He went too far with Arvo all the time. He was just looking for a reason. He even said that himself. He got a taste of blood from beating Carver to death and was itching to take his rage out of someone else.

you completely missed the part where i said those who hate him because he only cares about his family there are people who hate him for that sole reason it's clear you hate kenny for more reasons than that so idk why you even said anything but i would just like to point out the hater fanbase isn't exactly opinion accepting they are laughable too so get your head out of your ass and stop acting like you are better than them

I forgive Lilly, really most characters have done something that caused someone else to die or get bitten, I'm gonna forgive Lilly because she was practically treated like she was no longer apart of the group.
So you mean to say that Kenny pushed Clementine to the ground so she wouldn't get hurt? Jane does this as well but if they didn't want to hurt Clementine why push her straight to the ground?
lying to clementine when he promises to never hurt her then determinantly shoves her to the ground in the fight
It's a fight. He doe… moresn't want Clem to get involved because she could be hurt.
This is nitpicking more than a reason to dislike. I respect your other opinions why you dislike him, but this one bothers me.
Well you can't really blame Jane with Sarah, Jane had no ties with Sarah, she only knew her name, she was risking her life for a complete stranger, as for AJ, when does she say to leave him behind?
Jane wasn't hugely in favour of turning the family back if she couldn't bring herself to do it, she may have not wanted to let the family in but she still lets them in and if Clementine lets them in, she rolls with it. Exactly who isn't wounded in the apocalypse? If Kenny wasn't such an ass to Jane she may not have done what she did, in fact she was the last person who tried to tell Clementine to have faith that she can get Kenny back to the lighter side of things. How exactly is Clementine a substitute of Jaime? You could say the same thing for Sarah since Jane left because of Sarah's death, Jane knows Clementine isn't Jaime and she sees her as Clementine not as Jaime.
In the end I still like both Jane and Kenny, both are evidently pricks but I still love em
Jane constantly pushes her disgusting ideas upon Clem like wanting to leave Sarah and AJ behind.
Also she was heavily in favor of turning… more her back on the family at the end, looks like you're the one who as asleep in season two. So tell me again how the hell does she get better? By baiting a wounded man to his breaking point? Or by choosing Clem as a substitute for her sister?
Either way, there is no point in arguing with you. You're obviously not gonna stop hating Kenny and im not gonna stop hating Jane. Thats how you can tell Telltale did a good job at the ending of S2.
I don't know about screaming but I read quite a few comments that were saying Wellington could be bad or be fake. I think it just wasn't a main topic since it wasn't the centre of the plot, it was literally just mentioned and then Clementine went through the whole ordeal of finding a new group, getting to Howe's, escaping etc. We literally do not know what awaits in Wellington, I don't know about you but when the gates opened it felt like a cold and lonely place IMO, I don't think any of the endings were poor but I can say that they sugar coated some of them.
But regardless of Wellington being real, which they didn't know until they got there. Kenny was following a pipe dream and treating it as a … morereality
What a shitty argument. When Wellington was first mentioned in episode 1 no one screamed "BUT THATS A BAD IDEA!!!!". When episode 2 mentioned Wellington is in Michigan and it's cold as shit no one screamed "BUT THATS A BAD IDEA!!!!!". When episode 4 mentioned "We're going to Wellington" literally no one in the forums or anywhere else screamed "BUT THATS A BAD IDEA!!!!!". That shitty argument only appeared after finishing episode 5 because "Kenny Haters" in denial need childish arguments to defend their poor ending.
He still has the belief that Lee regarding his race has abilities specific to his race, that is the meaning of racism therefore with that one line he did show true racism.

I just stated how Kenny was racist to Lee, in episode 2 how he thinks Lee should be able to lock-pick the door because he is 'urban'. That is racism, Kenny caring for Clementine has nothing to do with what he said to Lee. People can be racist to specific people, just because Clementine has darker skin colour like Lee doesn't mean Kenny will automatically show signs of racism to her as well, people can be racist to just specific people of a race and not all.
Aren't they technically all canon? No matter what you choose one happens. And any choice can happen in the game. It might not be canon in your playthrough.

Jane endings feel like TWD. Kenny endings feel like some sort of cheesy children's book.

Clem is part African American.. and as you can see Kenny cares for her a lot.. Kenny isn't a racist.. he was just being stereotypical..

When Clementine tells him to stop beating Arvo, and you watched him kill Carver, Kenny will say "What? Lose your taste for this sorta thing?"
So, yeah. You're right there.
Just because someone says one thing that can be stereotypical does not mean they are a "true racist"
Okay, I know...Your point?
