Kenny's VA tweet - endings might not mean anything?
A tweet by Gavin Hammon (Kenny's VA) states that he doubts Kenny will be in S3. https://mobile.twitter.com/gavinhammon/status/574918379598827523
It's probably nothing since the game is so early in development anyway, but wouldn't Telltale have contacted him already? And if he wasn't at the liberty to say anything about, why would he respond?
Probably nothing but this just makes me curious whether or not Telltale has decided to move on from Clementine's story and your endings in general.

Well, that sucks. RIP in peace, Kenny.
He's been saying that since season 2 ended. I doubt it means anything of importance :P
He's really cryptic. He also doesnt want to say something like, I sure will! And then not being in it. To be honest, Melissa probably doesnt know if its still Clem or not in season 3
I definitely think it's way too early to tell what's happening. It's doubtful that the writers are still fully sure about what direction they're taking Season 3 in, so I wouldn't take this too seriously. If this was much closer to when we should start expecting Season 3, I'd be worried, but it's still way too soon to tell.
Yeah I'm pretty sure at this point we aren't going to see Clem, Ken, or Jane next season. If Clem was coming back, TellTale would have said something by now. The same goes for TWAU Season 2.
Not necessarily. There was a period of about 7 months between No Time Left and the announcement + release of 400 days. The most we got about season 2 at that point was some cryptic statements of "Clementine will play a role in S2" and "Kenny's fate will be explored"
It's been about 6 months since No Going Back, so there's still a chance we'll get more info about S3 (or a DLC) in some capacity
I'll believe it when I see it. Sorry : /...
Actually, I think Telltale was pretty hesitant at first to say if Clementine would even be in Season 2 in a similar manner. If I am not mistaken, it wasn't until much closer until Season 2 was revealed that Telltale said Clementine's fate would be explored in Season 2.
Telltale typically holds their cards close to their chest when it comes to disclosing story details before a game's release. As they mentioned back in December in a Playstation Experience panel, they are at the point where they are very early into planning story details for Season 3 at all.
HOLY CRAP BLIND SNIPER REPLIED TO ME!!!! :DDDDDD
Anyway, I'm just preparing for the worst, but anything can happen at this point.
Please be true. I loved the way Kenny and Clementine went out together in my playthrough. Season 3 should start a new separate story.
So....if Kenny doesn't appear at all in season 3 then going with Kenny in the end wont matter either.....
Remember when Kenny died in Season One? Yeah...
Good.
So the majority of players get an ending on a near cliffhanger (Jane, Jane+Family, Alone, Wellington)?
I doubt that will happen, Telltale aren't that stupid.
True but in my view on it is how are they meant to end it without killing clementine? I'd like multiple endings in the final episode
The kenny. alone and make them leave are the most ambiguous
Wellington,Let them in are the most conclusive
If you do not remember telltale sayed "Your ending will count for season 3" the endings counts.
None of it matters at the end though. Because TellTale will have to revert the story lines at some point. That's why I say scorch the earth at the end of season two. Make sure every character that can carry any importance and corrupt Clementine's character further are dead.
Alone Ending all the way
Now just to get rid of AJ
No more corrupting Clementine
Hm, maybe they told him in private his VA session as Kenny was going to be the last as that character? Some of the stuff Kenny says in the last episode to Clementine would kinda feel like a farewell/send off. I wouldn't be surprised if Kenny didn't come back.
I don't think voice actors are allowed to discuss openly about that stuff though, and we know Gavin has told bluffs in past on that ask website. So regardless if he knows or not if he'll get another shot at being Kenny again, he's not going to say or give anything away....I need this man on my side in a poker man =D fact.
Lol he has been saying this since season 2 ended, remember how tight lipped he was about kenny.. he won't be spilling any beans any time soon.. its all just to lead us off track.
I think the Kenny ending is the most conclusive - it's pretty much lifted right out of a disney version of the zombie apocalypse. Like walking into the horizon together is just the most cheesy ending shit ever, it's very much conclusive, just in a bad way.
I don't know if you weren't aware but... R.I.P = Rest In Peace, and you said "RIP in peace". That made me face palm.
They also said 400 Days would matter as well.
Gavin isn't going to give anything away
It means that he knows Telltale is super fucking lazy so he doubts he'll even be in the game because he's sure as hell they'll just do some bullshit timeskip to kill Kenny/Jane
Perhaps Gavin does not realize that their is an ending with Kenny & Clementine together. Gavin just reads his lines of dialogue, so he probably didn't understand that "You're as stubborn as a damn mule" means "Fuck Wellington!".
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I hope that the different endings will lead to differences on the story at least during the first episode of the season (not a fan of making that a DLC).
It is quite possible that they just won't contact Gavin yet or that they did but Gavin decided to go evasive on us to hide it.
BTW, I'm pretty sure that Clementine in S3 was confirmed in a comic con a few weeks back...
They get what the other character says too. He knows.
Its a dank meme.
Dank memez 4 teh win m8
Good, it's for the best.
Seriously just because we either hate the characters or the endings sucked shouldn't lead to the conclusion that there will be a cheap move. And just because they didn't keep their promise last time doesn't mean they again. Jesus. We need different outcomes for it to be fair to the player. If the company really wants to make the endings count, they'd best make sure they do.
You not getting the joke made me face palm
Oh xD
Never heard of it.
Telltale also thinks having only the first 10 mins changing is drastic
I still find the Wellington ending to be the most conclusive for me. Or to word it better, the most conclusive without going over the top (like the Kenny ending does. Look, I'll admit it up front, I like Kenny, but I still vastly prefer the Wellington ending over walking into the sunset with him)
Closure on Kenny's character as a whole (for real this time. If he's never seen again after this ending, I'd be perfectly fine with it. I know a lot of this boils down to personal opinion and all, but I feel this ending was a better end to his character than his sacrifice in S1 was. Of course, that's just me)
Closure on Clementine's story... for the time being, at least. In fact, this is one of the only endings that leaves her in a pretty good position. There's not really a looming threat or uncertain future here. Jane's ending with the family ends with the shift in the music and tone, giving off a sense of foreboding. The other ending parts on the possibility of that family coming back. Alone leaves her in the middle of nowhere, knee deep in the dead. And the Kenny ending has her turning away from a potential safe haven with actual protection, and back into a frozen hellscape of zombies, bandits, and worst of all: Ohio weather
And at least to me, makes the entire journey across both seasons feel worth it in some capacity. All the people that died protecting Clementine and AJ, it feels like all of that built towards something in the end, that some kind of goal was reached, something that S2 as a whole lacked. There wasn't much of a clear "end-game" here, so to speak, unlike S1, which shared both a feeling of heartbreak and accomplishment at the same time. Wellington provides what I feel to be the closest we get to such a thing this time around
Besides Christa still being MIA, I think that the Wellington ending is the closest to closure that you can get
The fact that three people thumbed up your comment made me facepalm.
