Am I the only one with this problem?

edited June 2015 in The Walking Dead

Hey guys and gals, I hope someone has already made a thread like this, meaning my question has already been answered. Does anyone else replay The Walking Dead and do the exact same thing every time, or am I just crazy town banana pants?

  • I figure you're not but I personally don't. I choose different stuff to just get a new experience, or as different of an experience you can get.

  • I do whenever I feel like playing both seasons again, I've played it so many times at this point that I can do it with my eyes closed.

  • I usually try to do alternate choices but sometimes I can't resist redoing what I did the first time, it's okay (but then again, I'm a Saltlick so my opinion might not be the most reliable...)

I usually do, lol. But sometimes I'll pick a few different dialogue options. Granted I've only played through season 1 like, three times now, but in any future playthroughs I'd most likely make the same choices anyway.

  • I actually do the same thing as well. I try not to but I hate making a choice im not comfortable with. And I never go back and fix choices because I dont feel like thats right. When I replay though on a new save I still do that same choices, its weird.

  • I'm on like my 7th playthrough and I practically haven't changed a thing, just a dialogue option here and there. I have a very serious problem.

  • You are a braver man than I. Or woman, could be either, point is, good for you.

  • Same here, have it all memorized.

  • I prefer replaying the story with choices that I like with rather than doing something new for the sake of doing something new. So yeah, I'm with you.

  • A saltlick? Does that have somthing to do with a choice you made in the meat locker?

  • Thank you brother/sister. If I like a choice, I stick with it.

  • I always treat Kenny like crap every time I play through.

I changed some things, though, like instead of going alone like I did last time I went with Jane.

  • Wow, I always made Kenny Lee's best bud. I've always thought he was awesome.

  • I do it too, I guess it's cause I usually pick the nice route and I can't stand being a douche to people lol but I like watching alternative playthroughs since they're different.

  • I did it when I had to put my choices on next gen.

  • No I've done it 5 times.

  • Same here, nice guy route always feels right for me.

  • Depends on what I want to do. I've got my proper file that is straight up honesty because that's who I am, so I told clementine her parents were dead because lieing is only delaying something she would've found out eventually. I also tried to keep kenny and Ben as my favourites and chuck because I never liked christa and Omid. Some other times I just take the piss out of the game to see the funny reactions.

  • Ive replayed the walking dead about 8 times with the same exact story haha... i just loved the game so much and i still get the same emotions as the first time i played the game

  • I actually just recently played through it a third time and I literally went against him at every turn. Sided with Larry in the drug store, blamed Kenny for the group's downfall, made him shoot Duck and the dead attic kid, fought and fucked him up (although I also did that the first two times also cause it was funny), and I didn't accept his apology.

And I have to say, I wished I had done it sooner.

  • Same here, always feels just as harsh and gut wrenching as the first time.

  • Yeah Kenny is very sympathetic.

  • I was super nice to him in s1, agreed with him when he fought with lary, saved duck instead of the hershel's son, and i always accepted his apologies.

in s2 idk why but i treated him really badly. didnt sit with him at the table, sided with jane all the time, etc.

Well, Kenny seemed a little cray cray in s2, but I still tried to be nice. I sat with him and tried to support him as best as I could, I thought that might help him, but we all know how that turned out.

  • Lol it's not a problem at all, dude! You just like the choices you originally stuck with. :]

  • I save the same people and side with the same people, so for the most part all of the big choices are the same, but I do occasionally choose some different dialogue. The only thing I did different on my second run of Season One was I actually took the stuff out of the car. Clem wasn't happy, but at least she got a cute hoodie out of it.

  • Certain scenes I found myself doing the same thing.

    1. Danny always kills Jolene.
    2. Lee always helps Lily with her dad.
    3. Lee always feeds Clem.
    4. clem always asks "Whose baby is it?"
