One thing people forget about luke is how UNRELIABLE he is. FIrst he gets caught by Carvers men, then he has sex with Jane while neglecting his duties to the group, also when he lets his best friend die, because he was too scared to go out of the trailer in episode 4. Is luke a nice guy, no question. Is he reliable? Nope.
Sarita died because Kenny left her alone in a heard though... by herself. And then did it again to Clementine, and lets not forget his family... or Lee in the drugstore... or Clementine again when she was kidnapped. Ok, I need to cut myself off.
Oh! And then he hid when Lee was attacked by Danny in a stall. In fact, now that I think about it, Kenny's actions always seem to be that he's of some description, not being reliable to the needs of the group as a whole.

He was a jerk depending how you played!!!!! He wasn't like that if you sided with him/agreed with him!! Only on the train just before Duck died did i feel he was an ass but then again his son was about to die so.
I'd shoot Kenny over Luke.
Kenny is the direct or indirect cause of so many characters deaths throughout both seasons. He's irrational, d… moreangerous, selfish and hypocritical. Not to mention a broken man, something that he himself admits.
Luke may not be perfect but he is far more competant and helpful, he's also compassionate to people that AREN'T a member of his family unlike Kenny.
I'd love to hear to why people think Kenny is the better choice. A lot of people have a nostalgic connection to Kenny in Season Two and therefore have more of an attatchment to him although what people seem to forget is that the guy was a complete jerk in Season One.

The opinions of those who disliked Kenny are just as valid as the opinions of those who liked him. As you said, it's how you play. And if he's an ass to me only because I did what I thought was right, then I have a right to dislike him as much as you have a right to like him.
I will give you that he is unreliable that is a good reason to not choose him but having sex with a willing woman when you could be dead at any time, I would have done the same thing. Nick is a grown man and can make his own decisions he is just always wrong. I would call Luke being scared wanting to survive I wouldn't have tried to run out of there either and I would be scared shitless.

I'm simply giving a point of comparison. Kenny canonically acts very childish and as a direct result shows that he is very unreliable. If not to the player character, than to a NPC like Walter. Wagering his life is a dangerous gamble, and he took it. Even if he had killed Carver before he got the chance to kill Walt. Him initiating combat with a clearly outnumbered force was a prime example of being unreliable to Walt's safety.
And that's just yet another example of Kenny's actions being disloyal and downright stupid. Again, see the previous examples I've left, their quite irrefutable for the most part.
He was a jerk depending how you played!!!!! He wasn't like that if you sided with him/agreed with him!! Only on the train just before Duck died did i feel he was an ass but then again his son was about to die so.
Thats my opinion too. There are scenes that dont change no matter how you talk to Kenny, things he does no matter what you do. His obsession with getting a boat, and getting sloppy drunk, for one thing. I guess it depends on whether you personally find those things irrititating or not.

I couldn't come up with anything good only that I would do same in those circumstances. I am weak.
I think self preservation is a good trait to have in this situation. He could have tried to convince Nick to stay but I don't think he did that but Nick did not have to go anywhere. I think it says Luke is not bossy and let's people make their own choices.
but having sex with a willing woman when you could be dead at any time, I would have done the same thing.
In result got group member… mores killed.
Luke being scared wanting to survive I wouldn't have tried to run out of there either and I would be scared shitless.
Luke was interested in self preservation, instead of saving his friend. His best friend. What does that say about Luke?
He's nice to you ONLY if you agree with him on pretty much everything. On my playthrough I was impartial and never stuck sides with Lily or Kenny but he naturally hated me just because I didn't do every single decision he wanted.
So what you're saying is, is that Kenny isn't jerk if you go along with his hair brain irrational decisions.
I didn't and as a result he hated me and was a total jerk.
He was a jerk depending how you played!!!!! He wasn't like that if you sided with him/agreed with him!! Only on the train just before Duck died did i feel he was an ass but then again his son was about to die so.
People are quick to talk about Luke having sex instead of watching the permiter as if it's the most despicable act conceivable.
Yes he screwed up but Kenny's bad decisions far outweigh Luke's bad decisions in amount and severity. Killing Larry, leaving Lee in episode three, wanting to kill and/or abandon Ben at Crawford, letting Shawn die, blindly shooting at Carver's group whilst in a hostage situation, the list goes on.
How anyone can point the finger at Luke over a small few things and want to shoot him over Kenny after the countless times Kenny has been an absolute asshole and let people die.

It depends, I can't imagine luke doing what Jane did to aj..hiding him. But I wanted my clem to get to wellington since christa was lost so I'd probably still go with kenny for that ending.

Luke. I have never had any emotional connection to Kenny at all... and he comes off as being extremely needy to me. Its probably due to the fact that I didn't wait months for episodes of Season 1 though.
If I disagreed with Kenny, I'd kill Kenny. If I disagreed with Luke, I'd kill Luke. I didn't stop Kenny from killing Jane because she had te… morechnically put the illusion over him that AJ had died, and AJ was all Kenny had left. Think of it this way,I'll give you an example, if Kenny tried to kill Charles if he had murdered his Wife and Duck, would you kill Kenny?
People see things differently and those that hate him need to respect other peopele's opinions and those that like him should respect those that don't.

And again, its your opinion saying his ideas were hair brain and irrational, not everyone will agree with you. Sure, i didnt agree with him on some things but others i did

Killing Larry i disagree with you on, sorry. If i was trapped in a room knowing theres a risk he could turn, i would put him down as well. Are you saying you'd risk mouth to mouth with a chance he could bite your mouth off? Lol fair enough!
He only leaves lee in ep 3 if you dont side with him. Again, its how you play. He helps you out otherwise.
If your family died because of something Ben had done, are you saying you wouldn't do what Kenny wanted to do? Im pretty sure you would want him gone because i know i would!!!
Ok, letting Shawn die, yes, he could have helped him, i agree. At the same time i can sympathise though, he wanted to save his son first, he was more important to him, parent's instinct but yes he should have helped.
Kenny shooting at Carver while everyone was hostage was irrational and stupid. Yep, see? I can agree with Kenny haters lol. I didn't like his recklessness during that scene. Thankfully, my Clem stopped him before Carver killed Alvin

You do realise if you are quick enough to help Lily help Larry then he actually takes a gasp of air just before Kenny drops the salt lick. This heavily implies Larry may have made it.
Yeah but saying "Oh if you're nice to him he'll save you in ep 3" isn't justifying him. It's just Kenny saying "I am happy to let anyone die, unless they're my friend and agree with all my irrational bullshit if not then they're as good as dead."

"Ill stay under it" that legit made me laugh
Thank you kindly...
Would you say it was unbelaughably funny?
...
Your point? I get it you hate kenny, doesn't change the fact that Luke is unreliable.
Kenny had been getting on my damn nerves since season one and as far as I remember, Luke never annoyed me.
He was a jerk depending how you played!!!!! He wasn't like that if you sided with him/agreed with him!! Only on the train just before Duck died did i feel he was an ass but then again his son was about to die so.
He leaves Sarita and Clem in the herd though yes, one of the few things i disagreed/disliked of what he did but hey here i am defending him again lol
Its as i keep saying, its how we play. You make it sound like these are facts about Kenny and it's no! Its an opinion nothing more

No point, just a comparison.
Kenny is also extremely unreliable.
He's an ass no matter what IMO
Well thats just it. It's your opinion and nothing more
Luke hands down.
So, you looking forward to the one year anniversary of No Going Back, Wolf? Cause, cause I'm ecstatic.
E-Ecstatic.

You say it depends on how you play, it's funny cause no matter how I played...he was still always an ass.
But i was talking about Luke, not Kenny. See the disconnect?

Luke... because he's sane.

Because Kenny lost his whole family, remember.

Rebecca was pregnant -> Also got a person killed. There were so many factors contributing to Sarah's death. The sex thing only got one person killed.
I am, I loved that episode.
Luke. I have never had any emotional connection to Kenny at all... and he comes off as being extremely needy to me. Its probably due to the fact that I didn't wait months for episodes of Season 1 though.
;_; you lucky muffin.
It's funny because everyone still dies
Never.

That's what I'm saying. Jane's offer got us all in trouble
