Thanks. And to add one more point: it's like, have you ever wanted something so badly that you convince yourself it's the only way, or the right way until it's too late? I can say I've had those moments once or twice, and I'm sure others have, too. Doesn't make us horrible and unfit people, it makes us just that: people. Jane wanted Clem to see badly how unstable Kenny is, and made a poor call, but she's still my second overall favorite in the series and best choice for my Clem.
Now why not go with Jane? Left a baby in a car to prove a point.
I'd like to point out that Jane didn't hide AJ just to "prove a point" that Kenny will get red-eyed angry. This is false. She also did it because she knew that Kenny's plan to keep going to find Wellington in the winter, with a baby and no food would get them all killed when they literally had no idea where Wellington was. Jane should've been right in that it should've taken at least months to find Wellington (it's more likely to take at least a year or more if you do the math), rather than nine days. Hence she didn't bait Kenny like that just "to prove a point." She was trying to save everyone's lives.
Id go with Kenny, that dude will literally die for Clem and AJ
It's funny you say this because Jane literally died for Clem at the end of ep 5. She literally, knife-through-her-chest, died for Clementine. Absolutely positively literally.
Also Kenny is loyal
Kenny is "loyal" if you agree with every last thing he says. If he was truly loyal he'd have offered to help find Clem no matter what in every single person's playthrough in season 1, but he didn't. That's not loyalty. I cringe to think what Kenny will say when Clem dares to disagree with him on some major decision in the future, like how he could maliciously disagree with Lee in season 1. E.g. what if she didn't want to find Wellington, thinking it was a bad idea? Kenny would've forcibly carried her over his shoulder, dragging her around Michigan and the states surrounding it, as they all froze and starved to death.
Kenny, Kenny thinks alot more than just himself. He thinks about family and the things he cares about aka Clem and AJ (All that he really ha… mores left) The ending and how he wanted to go to Weligton (A long term solution) Showed he wants Clem and AJ to be safe because his life is all about them. Kenny does anything to keep his family and group alive, Now why not go with Jane? Left a baby in a car to prove a point. nearly got are entire group killed by threatening arvo even if I didn't take his meds. So yeah Id go with Kenny. I understand if people go with Jane but for me? Id go with Kenny, that dude will literally die for Clem and AJ, its all he has left. But if you went with Jane and you hate Kenny I'd understand, everyone played the game differently. EDIT: Also Kenny is loyal, Jane already left us once and left AJ in a car. Kennys loyal and weather you hate him or not you cant deny that.
As I said in my first comment everyone played the game differently and has a different opinion. I said I understand if people go with Jane. I never disagreed or ran into a bad Kenny so thats why I said its how you play the game. No reason to debate when its clear that I already like Kenny and you like Jane and that wont change. We will keep our own opinions and they probably wont change. It's cool you like Jane, but for me and in my opinion id rather stick with Kenny.
EDIT: Kenny and Clem did find weligton and kenny just wanted them to stay there. But like I said I respect your opinion on Kenny. Lots of people have different opinions and I believe its what makes these games good. You may like one character but hate another.

Kenny. We have had our ups and downs but in the end he's like family. Not going to make any comments about why I didn't choose Jane, lest people jump all over me, but I will say that if you went with Jane, and you personally believe that it was the right choice, then it was. In these games, if you can justify your own choice, then you made the "right" choice.
I'm sorry; I really am, but there's no way the Kenny endings make any sense for me (I mean all the endings had problems with logic but the Wellington endings just go against all senses of rationality in so many ways.) I don't mean to offend any Kenny fans but those endings are just so out-there and impossible that I don't think they ever could've really happened. As soon as I first saw the "Nine Days Later" screen come up for the Kenny endings I just thought, "That's impossible. They can't have found Wellington in just nine days. It just goes against any and all kinds of logic." It's annoying because in reality there's no way Kenny could have found Wellington in such a short amount of time, but because the game did have him somehow magically find Wellington so quickly, it seems that what Jane did was unjustified, and people like yourself assume that Jane solely baited Kenny "to prove a point" when that's just not true. Jane baited Kenny because she didn't want any of them to go on what should have been shown in Kenny's endings to be a suicide mission to find a town in the vast American Midwest/Great Lakes region in the winter wilderness, with no food, no water, no idea where the camp actually was, and with a starving baby.
Kenny's never shown to really think through his actions. He shot Carver's man which resulted in Walter's death; he tried to escape from the truck when, what was he going to do? Punch people with guns? He was going to just "improvise" a way out of Howe's with no plan to get through the walkers. The same with this Wellington plan. He could've waited till the spring to find it or doubled back to Howe's first, but nope, can't do that. As Carlos said, there are consequences to rash actions, but Kenny just keeps getting "lucky, real lucky" so often it's ridiculous.
But you know, if you don't want to continue this conversation, that's fine. You keep your ending and I'll keep mine.

It's the proficient way to do it. Next step is to get rid of that little brat. The alone ending is bullshit but after Season 2 I don't want to be left with any more of it's characters
Not necessarily, I'm saying since Jane has such a cold personality and has a history of leaving relatives and groupies behind to die like Jamie and Sarah. Then I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it came down to her survival to just ditch Clem and AJ to buy her sometime out of a horde attack. She seems to put her surivival above all else and anything else and doesn't believe groups can last long together. So Jane doing that to Clem sounds sort of in character for her to do judging from all she has done thus far, she can be cold and manipulative if she desires in order to accomplish what she wants to achieve. She reminds me a bit of Lilly too. Just a** BIT **now.. there is that key adjective again.LOL
Kenny believes in family and not quiting he has also sacrificed himself on a couple occasions which is kind of the opposite of Jane it would seem.
They could go a different route though for those who chose Kenny finale. They could say Kenny died trying to save Clem and the baby from a group of road bandits or rapists. Which would sound something like Kenny would do since he has nothing much to live for in his eyes anyhow by now probably. And if some users/players got the Alone with AJ ending then Clem could encounter a horde or bandit attack to confront alone with AJ and get rescued by Michonne or something or just die or whichever they see fit. But I'm stumped about what the Wellington ending entail since no one has even seen the inside of it yet. So maybe some sort of illness could befall that camp or war with another Negan type of settlement and Clem and AJ can either survive or die from that.
So yeah I'm just originally saying it would be interesting if they went with what was in character based on the characters past history of noble deeds and misbehaviors.
Lolol omg never mind I just completely read that wrong. xp I thought you had meant that Carver was fond of Jane and that Carver and Troy ha… mored roughed up Jane lol never miiind. xp And I do remember that stuff happening with Clem lol, my bad.
Also I very much disagree with you on Jane abandoning Clem and AJ. It's not going to happen again; it's just plain not. I trust her; there's not really anything that makes me think she'll want to abandon Clem again. Jane's been showing as the season progresses that she has more and more faith in others, and that she'll help people in need or give them a chance rather than abandon them.
This would be a interesting approach should they actually decide to kill Clementine off midway into season 3 to show horrendous consequences of the Jane finale followers.
That's kind of harsh of you to imply. Are you suggesting that those who got a season 2 Jane ending will find halfway through the season that they chose the "wrong" season 2 ending? Because that's ridiculous.
Hahaha. Except he did abandon her. In a walker herd. Surrounded by zombies. After screaming and unfairly blaming her for Sarita's death and potentially traumatizing Clem, and attracting even more walkers towards her with all his screaming. Oh and that was actually canon too, unlike the gif above, so yeah. ^_^
I never tried to keep the conversation going though. I just told you I'm glad you like Jane. But I like Kenny and that's what I'm gunna keep it at. The whole game is unrealistic and so is kennys ending. This was never a debate in the first place haha. I don't like to debate about this game because everyone played the game difffently and it's irrelevant to debate about Season 2 because the characters and the story never made sense. I was just saying Clem and Kenny did find Weligton. Was it luck ? Ya 100% but that's what season 2 was. So there was never a need to countine a conversation like this. I agree with you. But I'll stick with Kenny and you stick with Jane

I'm with Jane, but I don't feel safe. Not because of her, but because we've got a potential threat outside the walls, that I can't wait to potentially eliminate.
A completely canon scene where Kenny leaves Clem to die in a mass horde of walkers regardless of if what she decides to do considering Kenny also left Sarita to her own vices and Jane running three feet out of frame (potentially circling around the huge obstruction blocking her from Clem) after she was viciously mauled in a pseudo uncommonly seen not canon death scene are two different things.
Apparently Kenny is still more capable than that same horrid person who later saves Clementine from freezing to death while Ken is (SUPRISE!) busying beating a bound teen. Truly the greatest guardian for Clementine.

Quite easily in my opinion, Kenny - they've known each other longer than Jane has. Ignoring the timeskip from the Season premiere, wasn't the entirety of Season 2 in like 15 days? Even so, Jane wasn't even around for most of that time either. Kenny and Clem have covered much more ground just in Season 1 alone, and that's not counting how long he had been with the Season 2 group.
Kenny, by the end of Episode 5, Kenny understands his faults and situations much better than Jane does. Because you see. When you leave Kenny(before reaching wellington) he understands and agrees for the best of clementine even though he wants to be with her.(and gives Clem AJ even though he wanted to be with AJ too), While Jane is a hell of a lot less mature about you leaving her.
See, to Kenny Clem wasn't just a family replacement. He truly cared for her and recognized her as her own While Jane simply saw Clem as her sister's replacement. Or if not that, then simply as a person she wanted to be with rather than a person she wanted the best for. Jane wanted Clem to be with her, not for Clem's sake, but for her own sake.
Sure, Kenny also wanted to be with Clem partially for his own sake and for similar reasons as Jane. But that wasn't as important to him as what was best for Clementine.
Lilly didn't trust the St. Johns either. She wanted her dinner to go, not at the dinner table.
Jane:
Taught the others how to disguise themselves in walker guts
Lead Clementine and Rebecca safely out of the herd
Taught Clementine survival skills (Lee and Jane are the only two to do so)
Found Rebecca a safe place for the baby
Wanted to steal medicine from Arvo to help the entire group; which she mentions those by name who need it
Saved Kenny and the group from Arvo's gang
Wanted to follow Arvo back to the house, because the possibility of there being food was worth the risk, and there was food
Saved Clementine from the freezing water
Wanted to go back to Howes to escape the cold, and because food and baby formula was certain to be there, which she was correct
Also, Jane always complimented Clem and told her she doesn't give herself enough credit, all the while Kenny is belittling her, nudging into her, and shoving her to the ground if you get in between Jane and Kenny
Kenny.

You make a good point in that we saw more changes in Jane in her few episodes than we saw in Kenny, unless you count escalation as a form of change. Thats the thing that really irritated me the most, was how quick he was to anger and jump down my Lee's throat over nothing. If he showed a bit more self awareness like he finally did at the end, maybe I would have been able to see his side more.
It's true Kenny would do anything for his family. Just make sure you're always in his family and never do anything that he disagrees with, o… morer he'll yell obscenities at you and abandon you in a walker herd right after traumatizing you, is all (remember after Sarita's death?). Also even if he considers you his family, you'd have to witness all the probably innocent people he'd probably end up maiming or killing to "protect his family at all costs" I'm sure.
Kenny's main flaw was his anger and his violent ways. Jane's main flaw was how she didn't want to trust people or be in a group to begin with. By the end of the season, Jane has shown she can change in terms of her flaw. She comes back for the group; she saves Clem from the ice; she lets the family in at Howe's. Kenny however didn't show any change in his flaw. In his endings he shows he still cares about Clem and AJ yes, but he doesn't show any signs of bettering his anger management. Saved Sarah and Luke at the trailer; even when her past was starting to haunt her
Gave Clem her nail filer; "Versatility is not overrated." Lol
Lit the fire for Clem to get warm while Kenny was yelling at Arvo
Wanted to leave with Clem and AJ while they had the chance while Kenny went to get gas, knowing he'll never give AJ up
Kenny was in 9 episodes vs Jane's 3 episode appearance. So, naturally, Kenny had more opportunities, but Jane made a huge impact in the short amount of time she had.

I must admit that "safe" doesn't matter extremely much to me anymore. It's also a theme in Clementine's relationship with Jane that no one in the Zombie apocalypse are going to be safe forever.
Regardless, I pick Kenny just because I trust that I can predict him better. I also trust himself, but that is more irrelevant. I felt like Jane was less predictable; at least if Kenny goes ape again I can say bye in due time. With Jane I would feel like I would have to reaffirm her loyalty all the time and doubt her. With Kenny I am pretty confident that he has his heat invested with the kids rather than his own survival.
Jane did do alot as well. I was just stating what Kenny also did. Jane and Kenny did more than any other characters in this game though (Besides playable characters). I mean honestly I think Kenny and Jane fans can atleast agree on that haha.

Jane. Clem needs a partner not a protector.
Myself.
Because I'm a strong, independent, black 11-year old.
Kenny's a loose cannon, so I'd say Jane.

But she did abandon Clementine in a freezing blizzard in the midst of a potential walker horde so...
Kenny.
If you think Kenny is bad you're objectively wrong.

I'm with Jane, but I don't feel safe. Not because of her, but because we've got a potential threat outside the walls, that I can't wait to potentially eliminate.
That doesn't count.
Hell yeah.
Jane:
Jane isn't the selfish monster some people think.
Maybe Kenny is a leprechaun. He does get lucky a lot.
Does it matter? Nobody is safe from season 3. But it's Jane.
Kenny. He and Jane are both idiots in their own special ways but at least Kenny is predictable. I can plan around that.
Kenny, of course. I've already lost Lee, I'm not losing him too if it depends on me.Telltale will take him away from me anyways, so... ;_;
I think it'd be beneficial to go along with a person who is at least a little bit predictable and is not OBVIOUSLY traumatized by his past. So Jane.
Even being with Kenny is better than going off alone in a snow storm with a newborn.
Kenny also
*offered to help Lee at Hershels farm by taking him a Clem on his truck
*Helped Lee get food.
*Got them to the train
*Stopped the train (which getting someone out of being denial during a grieving processe it takes a lot, trust me)
*Gave group hope that they would find Clem "You don't just end jt cause it's hard. You stick it out. And you help the folks you care about. So let's figuar away out of here and get that little girl"
*Gave food to a group he knew nothing about. Even when Kenny asks "Do you trust these guys Clem" and Clem says "not all of them" he still let's them in and let's them eat
*Shot carver when others wouldn't.
*Killed most of the Russians when nobody else would do anything.
*Got the truck running
Jane also:
Lol Very true, and yeah, I can agree to that.
