Season 2?
So I'm on Episode 4 of Season 1 and really enjoying it. How does Season 2 compare? Should I jump right into it?

Yikes...that much of a drop off?
Season 2 - it's amazing, dark and and emotionally hurt!
I love Season Two MORE than Season One!
Everyone has different opinions. Some people like Season 1 and some people like Season 2.
Good luck!
I think you should just play it and form your own opinion.
Personally, I love it almost as much as Season 1, some people like it more than Season 1, some people think that, on its own, it's a good game but compared to Season 1 is inferior, and others outright think the game sucks. It's best to form your own opinion by finishing Season 1 and playing Season 2 and then coming to your own conclusion. I'm not going to force you to like it nor should someone else force you to hate it, play it and find out.
Season 1 or 2?
Honestly? Log off the forums, forget whatever you've read, and just play Season 2 for yourself and form your own opinion of it.
I don't want to spoil anything, but Season 2 is... ummm... yeah. Not particularly the best in my opinion but...yeahh...
And I actually didnt like any episode from S2 any more than the others.
I disliked them all equally.
No. Run.
Run as far away as you can from S2.
Season 2 was fine by all accounts until the abysmal final episode genuinely squandered what potential the season could've had.
Not great mind you, and a lot of stupid shit happened far before the ending, but if the game had tied everything together in a meaningful and fulfilling way, the season would've benefited greatly. Instead, the end is quite literally a cluster fuck of conflicting messages and completely unlikable characters taking the spotlight from Clementine.
The season premiere is absolutely amazing though and still remains my second favorite episode from either season, only second to No Time Left.
It's a good story with some minor gameplay improvements and a better graphic design from season 1. The time it takes to beat each episode is rather shorter compared to S1, but that's because their are no puzzles and HUD areas have been dulled down.
It's up to you if you'll like it or not, since S2 is slightly different from S1. Try not to spoil yourself and don't let the hate discourage you. Enjoy.
Season 2 had potential and starts well, but, it feels rushed and messy after the first two episodes and the consistency isn't that great. Season 1 was definitely the strongest season by a long shot and had a way better finale than the one Season 2 ended on
Like, you know you how you get those art pieces that look like somebody just splattered a lot of paint on them, where even though you can't deny there's some nice colors in there, overall it's just a big splat and you can't figure out how the hell it costs so much? Yeah, that's the Season 2's finale in a nutshell, but you know, everybody views art pieces in their own way, so, you might feel differently on that...or you may develop a love/hate relationship with the TWDG after Season 2 like me, and suffer with trust issues to where you feel like this anytime you think of Season 3:
Just, be prepared is the best advice I can give :S
Just finished Season 1...WOW! So many questions...So you can let Lee live? I shot him. So is Kenny dead? Were those 2 figures in the distance that Clem sees at the very end Krista and Omid?
How do you spoiler tag a response?
What do you mean?..
Your reply had a spoiler box around it and I had to click into it. How do you do that?
Oh nevermind I see there's a checkbox for it.
Alright, sorry if I spoiled anything though.
Is the 400 Days DLC any good?
It's fun but short, you play as multiple progotanists who has his/her own storyline.
Oh no don't worry you didn't spoil anything
Is the DLC as a whole the length or 1 episode, or each protagonist is the length of 1 episode?
Well, it's a one special episode and whole length. Once you get the dlc you're free to play each progotanist.
Just finished the 400 Days DLC. Nice change of pace and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing if any of these characters show up in Season 2.
I would have played S2 First then S1. Season 2 was a disappointment to me and several others.
About to jump into Season 2. Really excited.
Guys, lets not ruin the experience for the OP. It's up to them to decided whether Season 2 is good or not.
Exactly this. Don't let anyone else's opinions sway whether or not you want to play it/whether or not it's good.
Before I played it, there were all of these people telling me "it sucks, don't play it". I didn't listen to them. I was just excited to have a continuation of a story that I enjoyed, so I played it as soon as I could. I also went into it knowing that it was going to be very different from Season One, and knowing it likely would be not quite as good. I still enjoyed it, despite this, and don't get why people say it completely sucks. My point here is, I didn't listen to people telling me not to play, so you shouldn't either. If you want to play it, go ahead! And if not, that's cool, too. But you can't let others decide for you.
Because they're salty that Telltale didn't do what they wanted
Because we just didn't like it? Mind blow, right?
Yeah, that's what I just said
You said because "Telltale didn't do what they wanted".
No I'm "salty" b/c Telltale made a shitty lazy story that I spent 20 Dollars on. They didn't have to "do" anything, just make the story at least seem like it took effort.
Which is what you wanted
No matter how dumb you may think I am I'm not wrong here, lmao
Mhm, who told you you were dumb?
I don't like Season 2? You seem as if you are bothered by that.
I'm not bothered by that. Can you show me where I said I was though?
You obviously like S2 more than S1, so when you say this it comes off like you are pressed. That's all.
Honestly, I think you guys are a bit hard of Season Two. It really presented some serious issues from a narrative standpoint. No one was going to be happy with any other protagonist than Clem-the vast majority anyhow-and once you've decided that an eleven year old girl is going to be the main character, you have to figure out way to get her to do stuff. Especially since the biggest knock on the game from the first season was not enough interactivity. What are they going to do, have her stand by while the adults handle things?
At the end of the day, realism is not called real for a reason. It's only realistic-seeming. Every detective story ever written is ludicrously unlike any real investigation in history, because of the demands of narrative. Realistic dialogue is how people wished they talk, not the way they do. And so on.
Season Two wasn't as good as the first, but let's face it, nothing was going to be.
Nope, I don't really care if someone has a different opinion than mine, though it did kind of look like you were trying to rustle me considering you know I like season 2 more and you said this "Telltale made a shitty lazy story that I spent 20 Dollars on".

Just finished the first episode of Season 2 and really liked it!
