  • Guys , what if we see Arvo , Mike , and Bonnie in this mini series? O_O.

  • That'd be cool. I'd hope they wouldn't die.

  • Same. That would be pretty neat way to integrate Season 2 into the miniseries

Maybe that "Fresh, brutal, and about to sneak up on you!" Tweet was the news we were supposed to get this month that Job alluded to in a tweet from October. The new tweet from Shaun is technically an update (which is why I included it), but it isn't really news.

I think we would've heard something by now if we were getting news today, so if what I said above is not the case, another possibility is that the news might have been delayed.

  • It was a minor update, but certainly not "main news" or it would've come from Job/Laura/Nathan/the TTG Twitter account. As I said below, I'm guessing that Job's small teaser about Michonne being "fresh, brutal, and about to sneak up on us" was our news for this Month that Job had alluded we would get on Twitter towards the end of October.

Oh well. I mean it has to be coming out in less than 3 weeks, so it's not like we have to wait forever.

  • Hey guys. I was thinking of doing something for Michonne for your benefit, so if you could do this poll real quick, it help me:

  • You know, when this series releases, I'll wait a bit. After hearing this takes place after the "all out war" in Alexandria, I don't want this to spoil the show for me, considering I'm also behind a bit on my recordings of it.

But, what do you guys think? Do you think it will be good for someone who has never read the comics and only watched the show? Or will we just have to wait a bit and find out? I think it is the latter.

I want it, but I'm also afraid of what it may reveal.

So, yeah. Just had to get this out of my system.

  • edited November 2015

Yes, because the games are in the comic book universe not the tv show universe. The Walking Dead game has nothing to do with the television show.

  • Since the TV show usually changes certain events (or completely omits them) from the comic quite a bit. I think it would be safe to say it wouldn't spoil the show.

But if you want to wait and find out then you're gonna have to wait a long time cause it's gonna take a while before the TV show catches up to the events of All Out War.

  • Well, I'm afraid this inevitable, as the description of it states that "players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group… and what brought her back."

Don't worry though. The thing about the show is that they have lots of comic changes - for example in comics Carol committed suicide by walker in the prison because Tyreese slept with Michonne. Dale died Bob's death, Bob was a medic who saved the Governor after Michonne screwed him up, the Termites' didn't have a base like the Hunters did in the comics.

  • Yeah same, anything to do with the Walking Dead right now kind of leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I am going to be honest, I won't buy the mini-series when it comes out. I am going to watch some playthroughs first and judge if it is worth buying.

  • I'm slowly getting more interested in this dlc :)

  • Do we know whether this will import our TWD s2 choices?

  • Could someone explain to me the major differences between comic Michonne, and TV Michonne?

  • edited November 2015

She's more of a manipulator in the comics. She seduced a married man to the point where his wife attempted suicide. Not a great comparison, but I'm just trying to remember what I read and that was all I could think of when I thought of Michonne in the comics...Oh geeze.

TV show watchers can just treat the DLC like a time-skip story, and then when the show resumes it will act as a prequel to the DLC time-skip.. or something.

It's going to be a totally separate story so it's unlikely that it will need to import our season 2 choices.

I'm crossing my fingers for a teaser at the Game Awards December 3rd,

That could be a possibility as they announced both Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands at the 2013 VGX awards along with some teaser trailers.

  • She is more nice and honest in the Tv-show. In the comics, her personality is more chaotic and unstable.

Like freelancepolicefan11said, she sleeps more around in the comics.

  • I doubt it. They usually release trailers the week before the Episode, and it's very likely that we won't get the Episode before December 15.

Usually with premiere's they have a trailer that comes out a few weeks before the episode launches, but since is a DLC mini series I'm not sure if they'll do that with Michonne. I guess we'll see.

Also, every Telltale premiere is usually classified like a few months before their released which still hasn't happened with Michonne.

The trailers for both Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones came out the day before the Episode, and while I don't remember all of the dates for their other games, I'm pretty sure it was never that long between trailer and Episode.

  • Me too. After the disappointment of Season 2, Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones sure reinforced my faith in Telltale, and I have higher hopes for TWD again.

  • With recent titles the episode trailers for premiere's were released 2 weeks before the episode launched. (Tales, Story Mode, and Game of Thrones).

Tales trailer was released on Nov 13, 2014 and the episode premiered 2 weeks after

Thrones trailer was released November 20th. and again the episode premiered 2 weeks later.

Story Modes trailer came out the Oct 1st and again 2 weeks later.

Michonne might have the same treatment, so if it were to come out the 15th of December we would get the trailer next week.

  • But weren't those more like sneak peeks? As far as I remember, the real (=launch) trailer always came out on the Monday before the Episode:

    November 26th for TftB

    December 1st for GoT

Haven't really been following MCSM, but I think it also had a sneak peek and later a full launch trailer.

Yeah, they weren't launch trailers (except for Story Mode). But I'll take any trailer at this point honestly, and if Michonne is getting the regular premiere treatment we should be getting a trailer next week if it really is going to launch before Winter.
