He could also be blamed for indirectly participating in the deaths of Carley, Katjaa, Duck and the St. John family; if he hadn't wanted to s… morenoop around on the barn, the Motel Inn group would've had Mark for dinner and headed back to their place, and the bandits wouldn't have attacked because they would still be getting food from the St. Johns.
Edit: Include the entirety of the Save-Lots bandits in the list. They died as well.
You could blame Lee for searching for Mark, which led to the St Johns attacking the group, which led to them getting thrown in the meat locker, which led to Larry having a heart attack, which led to Kenny killing him, which led to the group escaping, which led to the St Johns being defeated, which led to the bandits targeting the motor inn, and led to them leaving the dairy and finding the car at the right moment, which led to them stealing the supplies, which led to the stranger going after them, and also led into Ben giving supplies to the bandits, which led to the supplies being found, which led to the raid, which led to Duck being bitten, Lilly snapping and killing Carley/Doug, and Katjaa eventually killing herself, which led to the stranger kidnapping Clem, which led to Lee getting bitten, and Ben dying during the rescue mission
You could blame Mark for suggesting the whole group should come to the dairy, then Kenny would never come to the dairy, and thus wouldn't want to search the barn, and Lee would never get suspicious and end up finding Mark
Or you could blame Lee for going to the dairy in the first place, so Mark would never suggest that, or end up getting shot for that matter
Or blame the entire group for voting to go to the dairy, even if Lee refuses
Or you could blame the cop at the beginning of the game for crashing the car, which leads to the entire game panning out the way it did
Playing the blame game is pointless, because you can construe the entire game to be just about anyone's fault through some ridiculous chain of cause and effect
Kenny was the one crying to steal all the supplies out of that car. Lilly and Clementine said not to, as the owners could still be near by … moreas it was obviously freshly abandoned. In turn owner of said car then stalked the group, kidnapped Clem, in turn Lee looking for Clem ends up getting bitten. I'd assume it would be as plain as day.
Well but if the car suplies weren't stolen, the stranger's family would stick with him, and he wouldn't stalk Lee.
The Stranger is one of the worst characters of all time (I just wanted to say this).
The thing is, the whole game is a chain of cause and effect; lots of decisions that characters have made have shaped the story the way it is, even if we don't consciously realize that they made a decision. For example, Lilly exiting the Motor Inn through the window and saving the group from the hostage situation by sniping the bandit leader are both decisions. Shooting Carley/Ben is a decision, too.
Everything that happens technically is everyone's fault.

What I was really trying to get at in my post is that everyone in the game has some level of involvement in practically every single event; some line you can trace back to someone else. But the problem is that the further you try to trace that chain back to someone, the more ridiculous it starts sounding, at least to me. Like the above, you could seriously argue that the cop is the root of everything that happened in the game, but that just sounds kinda ridiculous, right?
It starts to feel like people trace things back to try and find faults with specific characters. I've always kinda felt like that was the case with Ben, to a degree.

Ben DID have a direct role , though - he gave the bandits those pills. And he left Clem to fend for herself when the group got attacked at the beginning of EP 4.

I made note of that in the second part of the post. But why stop at Kenny prodding Lee to look around? If Mark never said they had a vet and asked if the whole group could come, then the entire group, including Kenny, would never come to the dairy, therefore he'd never prod Lee to poke around. Therefore, you could blame Mark for what happened, right? Or you can blame Lee for going to the dairy in the first place, enabling Mark to ask. Or for Lilly pushing Mark and Lee to check the dairy out period, or the entire group for voting to check out the dairy. The way I see it, it's all relative.
I'm not trying to say that blaming Kenny is invalid, you're more than entitled to that. But me? I just don't see the real reason to.
I blame Lee for the Senator's death... I blame most deaths on Walkers and if some Necromancer is conjuring them or some Scientist decided it was a good idea to create an air-borne virus, they're the root of this whole problem.

I hope this doesn't get into a big ol' discussion, because I have things to do, and I really can't stand the look of that red text (no offen… morese if you don't know how to turn it off or whatever.) But anyway, I'm here to pick apart your imo frankly bad argument. ^_^
When a decisive/direct Man from the South speaks with the tone of confidence about what the right and wrong things to do are, he would appear to be a figure of authority.
The problem with Kenny though is he believes that whatever he says is the right thing to do; to him whatever he wants is automatically always the "best" and "right" thing, and anyone disagreeing with him is absolutely wrong all the time. Frankly he doesn't consider anyone else's perspective when it would really count, and thus he looks like a childish moron (and he is.) E.g. when he is arguing to look for Wellington, if you side with Jane on going to Howe's, this is what happens:

Bravo. :claps: Great comeback. Especially because it doesn't even make any sense.
If Kenny hadn't been such a fucking idiotic violent aggressive stubborn asshole Jane would've never felt the need to hide the baby. And again, if the game actually gave me the option to agree with Jane and leave with her, she would've never felt the need to hide the baby.

I'm glad these games were made! There's a lot of fruitful discussion here. To truly evolve as humans, the next step for our species is emotional intelligence. This game defies gender roles(partially) but more important age, race, etc. As a White Guy, I've now played life as a Black Man, Little Spanish Girl, and it's interesting what decisions the "grown-ups" involve you in depending on who you are.
It gives all those who give a damn about each other and our world to "almost" LITERALLY step in someone else's shoes....not when they're just doing nothing... but when lives are on the line and every decision is critical.
Brilliant.

Nobody cares about you. And you don't care about nobody but yourself. That makes you nothin'!
If you can't see how fucked up that is to say to someone. Then all hope is lost in the world.........

...Damn is your comment ironic.
Mostly, because of how unwillingly he is to compromise. Plus, if you don't align with him completely then he considers you not really worth his time/effort.
The end of season 2 you have Jane saying they can go back to Howe's within a day to stock up on supplies. Stuff that can help them survive and definitely take care of the baby. Though, Kenny is stuck on this one last great mission that he completely shits on it and then assaults her and acts really shitty. He escalates the convo by saying Jane is worth nothing which is just a really fucked thing to say to someone. Just a all around asshole.
Hell, I was glad to finally be rid of Kenny...If he wasn't in S2 it probably would have been a shit ton better imo.
these threads are getting out of hand. can't we just merge them into a Kenny v. Jane MEGATHREAD.
kenny is an asshole and that's why i like him. he doesn't put up with shit. and that can be good and bad in certain situations. overall he means well most of the time, but can be an asshole. and that's why i like him.
plus he's been around since the beginning, might as well just keep him around for another season if you didn't leave him/shoot him.

She insults and acts bitchy towards everyone in S2, no matter which dialogue option you choose. She also walks around with that smug facial expression that seems to be permanently stuck on her face.
Kenny has his moments where he shines during tough moments when everyone else is in doubt; but his attitude changes if he gets a whiff of anyone not being totally loyal to him. He has lost a lot in S1 and S2 and I can understand his hair-trigger temper; but his fight with Jane, even though she provoked it to prove a point, was bound to happen if not this time probably much later with someone else or even an older Clem later on in the series. Just a thought though.
That's the thing, he's not. Carver is a villain and a great character. Lilly did some villainous stuff too and I thought she was great. Kenny is simply a terribly written character which is why people hate him so much.
I felt so relieved when Clementine put a bullet in him. The fact that I won't ever have to hear that awful voice again is so satisfying.

No. Kenny is awesome. Don't kill Kenny. Best character in TWD, besides Lee and Clementine, of course.
Well, really it's our choice whether she is or not.

Too late.
Quick! Someone get Gavin Hammon to see this! Let's start a fight!
Who?
Kenny's voice actor. He is one of the most praised TWD voice actors. You haven't heard of Gavinism? Yeah, he has his own cult!
Me not liking the character has nothing to do with the voice actor.
You said that you didn't want to hear his voice anymore. I believe that's why BetterToSleep mentioned Gavin.
