I just noticed that episode 1 has been rated "R16" by New Zealand and the first episode appears to be called "In Too Deep"

So when the game releases, will it be only digital or would we be able to buy a disc with a season pass? Would the first episode be free like the previous Walking Dead games?
Probably digital only for now, the retail version usually doesn't come out until all Episodes are out. It was different for MCSM, but that didn't work out too well.
The first Episode will definitley not be free. It's a brand new game, and it only has three Episodes to begin with. The first Episodes of both Seasons cost 5$ as usual until a much later point in time. Episode 1 of Got and TftB became free shortly before they ended. And all these game had five (one six) Episodes. Making the first Episode of a five part series free in the very beginning would be bad enough, if it's a three part series you basically commit commercial suicide.

I don't exactly remember how it worked, but I can recall that for the Season 2 episodes, the Steam achievements had been released at least a month ago. Why haven't we heard about them for the Michonne Miniseries?

The game has to be uploaded to Steam already for that to be possible. It seems that it isn't on Steam yet. As soon as that happens, we should be able to view the achievements for all three Episodes.

No. Every Episode of any Telltale game since 'A New Day' has been rated PEGI 18, and all for similar reasons to the ones listed in the screenshot above (extreme violence, strong language etc). The only exceptions are (obviously) all Minecraft Story Mode Episodes and The Wolf Among Us Episodes 1 & 3, which were both PEGI 16.

I had noticed that, but I didn't think too much of it. Ozzy's find is interesting, although I wonder why they made the minor change from "Telltale Games Series" to "Telltale Series".
Another interesting change is that "A Telltale Miniseries" is trademarked. I wonder if they're planning to make other short seasons in the … more"Telltale Miniseries" line (if not, it would be strange to go through the expense and hassle to trademark the term).

No i didn't here about that. And yeah i played the first two episodes, enjoyed it. And i own all episodes on Xbox One. It's not for me, though. Didn't like Fiona and Sasha, if it focused on Rhys more, i might've enjoyed it. Glad TTG tried the 2 playable character feature.
make a brand new original story. no one else's concept or ideas, just an original story.
They're already doing that. Did you not hear?
Have you tried Tales from the Borderlands by the way?

That might be a bit much for one day, but I'd gladly take it! I think we'll get the release dates and possibly screenshots tomorrow, and a trailer on the Monday before the Episode releases.
I'm starting to like their profile a lot better! This change can only mean one thing:
VERY SOON.

The first episode of a Telltale series only becomes free on occasion towards the end of a series, sometime before or after the Season Finale. The Episodes are never free upon release. With this being a mini series, I don't know if they will make the first episode of Michonne free upon completion of the Season since this is not a full length Season.

It takes place previous to the current timeline of the comics. Michonne left the group at the end of All Out War, which was about two years into the apocalypse at that point (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, as I just know about the comics from second hand knowledge).
Telltale stated that they intend to tell the story of why she left, so they'd likely have to start at the beginning, which would be directly after All Out War. They also stated that they'd explain what brought her back, so they'll probably be covering the entire length of the two year timeskip that took place in the comics.
Doesn't Michonne play after the two year timeskip though? Carl is 13 by now and was 9 when the outbreak started, which means that Michonne takes place 4 years in the apocalypse, while Telltale is only about 2 1/2 years in.
You are correct, wiki says she leaves in Issue 126 (last issue of the All Out War story line). Wow, I had no idea Michonne was gone for more than two years. I somehow had this idea that it takes place after the time skip.

And In Too Deep? Hmmm.. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Nice! I've been checking the rating sites frequently as of late, so nice to see they finally updated.
Interestingly enough, I suppose this also means we get Minecraft in March.
In too deep?
Oh god my mind is terrible.

Extreme Violence. Now you've spiked my interest. First time The Walking Dead games been rated Pegi18 right.

Oh, good to know. Thanks!

I'm surprised Episode 1 wasn't rated higher, that had some really violent moments.

also rated by Pegi
why is "Drug Use" and "Nudity" unrated?
They are only rated if the game contains nudity or drug use, as they are not ticked it means they won't be in the game.
So does episode 3 e.g. Bigby and dum at the end...
Not as bad as Minecraft's 4th episode title, "A Block and a Hard Place"
Ironic how sad that gif actually is now. #ThankYouDanielBryan

NEWS TOMORROW!!
The first five minutes of @TheWalkingDead: Michonne are haunting. Looping on repeat in my head as much as it does her own. News tomorrow!
I think it might be referring to the apparent dream thing with her daughters we saw in the trailer. That would sense, right? Looping on repeat?
Oh Job, you are using your persussive words to make me buy the game, aren't you?
New Zealand, PEGI, Australia?! News Tomorrow?! Ahhh!!! Yes, finally some ratings, and all at the same time...
Could this mean a release next week?... [excitement intensifies]
Of course he's not!... [checks for pre-order]
Updated the thread. I'm guessing tomorrow will be release dates, key art, and a full trailer for episode 1.

Haunting and looping on repeat in her head...my god. I know what he's talking about.

We feel you Michonne,

Telltale updated their Twitter icon and background with Michonne art.

Put the number symbol behind your words
You have to use the number sign. Pound key? Hashtag? (Whatever the real name of this is... before you type:) #
It does wonders to your text!
Thanks!
