  • Gavin's a pretty cool dude, though. Unless you mean you're not a fan of his voice acting in general, which I guess I can understand.

Yeah, exactly what @IronWoodLover said, @DarkViolet. I'm not a fan of Kenny nor Gavin, either.

  • Yes, but they implied that he would want to fight me for not liking the character. LOL. Is there some juicy gossip I don't know about? Why don't you guys like him?

You said that you didn't want to hear his voice anymore. I believe that's why BetterToSleep mentioned Gavin. And btw I was just giving you info. I'm personally not a big fan either.

  • You must have modded the game then. S1 Clem was a sweetheart, S2 Clem is a brat with a serious resting bitchface syndrome.

I don't know about your Clementine, but my Clementine is a sweetheart.

  • Yeah, I know. He actually sent me a postcard a while ago (I asked for it, of course). He's totally cool. Plus, his voice acting usually is on point.

I just meant that I'm not his super fan.

  • Nope. No modding :) My Clementine forgave Rebecca after she was a bitch to her in All That Remains, she forgave Nick after he almost shot her, and told Carlos he could trust her when asked to look after Sarah. Please point out where she was a brat? And I see no resting bitchface in my game. Maybe it was you who modded? :)

  • My Clem was sweetly sarcastic. It was the best thing ever.

  • You made her act like a bitch. Now your complaining because she acted like a bitch.

    Wow...

To be honest, I think the best route would've been to go back to Howe's, that way they'd at least know where they're going and it wouldn't take them 9 days to find a safe place for AJ. Still wondering how Clementine managed to find the milk for AJ in each Ending though.

I'm back to express my hate for Kenny. Mostly, because of how unwillingly he is to compromise. Plus, if you don't align with him complete

  • I definitely agree that Kenny is a great character as he manages to have allot of people who hate, love and hate and love him, however, I don't think you can say that others can't deny that he is, hateful characters can still equate to bad writing but that's entirely up to perspective, whether a character is good or bad in terms of quality is entirely subjective.

  • Kenny overpowers Jane and kills her if Clem doesn't interfere.

    Jane = Weak
    Kenny = Strong

  • I think BetterToSleep was just joking when he talked about a fight.

While he is a great voice actor in terms of voice expression, sometimes his voice is just not pleasant to hear to. For example: in the Kenny endings he sounded super convincing but his voice was just... wierd. I guess it was because it was too high pitched (which is understandable for an emotional scene).

I do like his voice acting, but sometimes his voice sounds wierd. That's why I'm not a super Gavin fan.

  • As a White guy myself, personally, I would like the next playable character to be a white guy, since we haven't been able to play as one yet.

I'm glad these games were made! There's a lot of fruitful discussion here. To truly evolve as humans, the next step for our species is emo

  • Jane = Weak Kenny = Strong

Would you mind explaining this equation? Looks like I'm not very good at math.

We don't have any choices to be as reactionary and psychopathic as Kenny was. Not so far at any rate.

Well, really it's our choice whether she is or not.

  • Grown man overpowers grown woman = grown man is generally better than grown woman?

    ..okay?

Jane is emotionally stronger, arguably that counts for more. And she still held her own in the fight.

  • Kenny was lightning in a bottle. In my opinion, he's the most fascinating character to ever come out of a video game. Part of the excitement behind the wait for season 2 (for a lot of fans, anyway) was the question of whether Kenny would return. When he did, you can't deny the reaction was huge, regardless if you loved or hated him.

  • More infuriating than fascinating imo.

  • Kenny had some kind of psychotic rage fueling him. I wouldnt call that strength.

He was always sniping at my Lee no matter what I did. It just irritated me no end. He never did anything I wanted him to do, just the opposite, like shooting when Carver came to the cabin, and the final straw of not helping to look for Clementine, of course just made me furious. I was never thinking, "Wow, what a provacative character!" I was thinking, "Stop being an ass for five minutes!" But that has been my experience with the character, of course. Mileages vary.

    Why, exactly?

  • Neat!

  • Hey, he's probably alive in your playthrough so enjoy him while you can.

  • Completely disagree but that's to be expected. I think Kenny's a very well written character. Everyone can't stop talking about him whether good or bad. Everyone (90% i'd say) hate/dislike him on these forums but there are a lot that still like him elsewhere

That's the thing, he's not. Carver is a villain and a great character. Lilly did some villainous stuff too and I thought she was great. Kenn

  • I find myself to be a very forgiving person, and I even tolerated Kenny in Season 1 and had some form of respect to him in spite of his behavior and actions. But there's only so many times I can pardon his actions in Season 2 before he finally crossed the line in Episode 5.

  • I guess it has to do with the time we spend with Kenny. He is the second character with most appearances (Clem being the first). You can, of course, forgive a person many times, but there's always a limit. Kenny passed that limit for most of us.

  • I think its a little unfair to say that people who dislike Kenny arent forgiving people. It takes a lot to make me hate a character I previously liked. Im very forgiving. But I can be pushed too far.
