Lets just assume, that he somehow survived. That would Pretty much ruin Both seasons tbh. The build up to His death was just so briliantly executed And the aftermath so Heartbreaking to be fake. TTG would pretty much throw away their "Qualitys" As Story writers. Even David Cage wouldn't Be this stupid. Ok maybe he would, But No Professional Writer would Do this.
Look, Lee is my favourite Walking Dead character by a landslide. But he needs to stay dead. He can return in a flashback or something down those lines but bringing him back would flat-out ruin the emotionally heavy ending the first season had on all of us. The first season's ending is one of my all-time favourite endings in video games. It was a wonderfully written and perfectly executed by everyone involved. And I haven't cried that much at video games (only MGS3 ever really done that other than this) but man, it was something else. And if Lee were to come back, it'd be ruined entirely.
So yeah, your idea that Lee is immortal and can survive bullet wounds to the head and zombie bites to the arm and blood loss from cutting that arm off is stupid.

From the article it's pretty clear the writers don't tell the voice actors everything or too early. If Lee did survive it's doubtful Dave would know until they asked him back for season 3. Also in the video I pointed out that the shot could have been missed.

personally i think chuck is still alive, he was just sleeping after gorging on jam donuts, and what happens is he wakes up, puts the train in reverse and finds carley and doug who by the power of magots who cleaned their wounds and evil zombie toxins out of their blood are also alive, they then find mark (who was just acting all zombie for a laugh) and make him some mech legs (because chuck is secretly a genius, who worked with doug to make a perpetual motion powered set of mech legs) then they fly off in a air balloon made from the pure imagination of duck (who imagined himself alive again) to find Lee, but lee is dead and there is nothing they can do about it, so they just decide to live on the flying island where Larry lived alone because nobody likes a guy without a head, and this is where season 3 starts.

The difference between all those people you mentioned and Lee is that we didn't see Lee's death. Even if you decide to have Clementine shoot him it simply goes to black screen from there. I have a basic rule that if I don't actually see a death in a movie or video game I can't rule out that the person is alive. Why? Because it's happened in too many movies and tv shows and video games where a character get's a death scene and then ends up not dead.
