how much time will kenny/Jane survive in season 3?
How much time do you guys think they will last in the game before telltale inevitably hands down the determinant kill hammer? ((As long as they last more than Omid did in season 2 then im happy))

I get the feeling that we will not see them in present time for the duration of the season, or at least until the very end. I believe that we will see Kenny and Jane in flashbacks, and they will either be dead/unknown or missing until the end of the season. (Held by antagonists?) It's pretty much the same with me. As long as they aren't simply Omid'd, I'm fine.
The whole flashback thing would make it so they could be incorporated into the story without having an active role. If we discovered they were held captive somewhere the entire time, then that could work too.

EDIT: Uh...triple post. Yay?

Im fine with anything as long as they dont do the same thing they did with omid.
They may start out dead, etc. I think that Mike is dead since Bonnie can fall in the ice and die. We know how Tell Tale is
The prophecy is almost complete.
I don't think Telltale will reveal what happened to them right away. In fact I think it might be one of the mysteries that'll be unraveled as the season moves along, and it'll be a device telltale uses to keep players coming back for more--to find out what happened, and they'll be dangling it in front of us like a carrot on a stick for a good long while.
It would be interesting if our actions/dialogue in S2 determined Jane's/Kenny's fates in S3 too--whether they got killed, kidnapped, disappeared, whatever.
I'm hoping they'll live through the entirety of S3. It's time for Telltale to step up their game and show that they can make choices truly tailored to our story. This will also prove they can handle carrying choices through multiple seasons like a certain other game they have in the works. They bether not stick Kenny or Jane on the side lines as well with no dialogue or nothing to do.
I'm saying that since Bonnie left with Mike, it's likely that he dies.
I don't see how Kenny or Jane can be major characters in season 3. By how Season 2 ends, they would have to write three different stories for season 3.
It could be like the Doug/Carley choice except expanded much, much more. That was pretty well done huh? They got dialogue and slightly different scenes here and there for a end of an episode, a whole episode, and then half of one. Since TT keep talking about how upgraded their engine is (it's not really) maybe they can finally pull something this big off.
It would be nice. I love Tell Tale, but the "choices will impact your story" is very over exaggerated. Even if you don't steal from the Stranger or Arvo, the outcome is the same. Like you said, Ben, Nick, Carley, Sarah, Sarita, Pete, Duck, and Doug are all destined to die, but it's how they die, is left to the player. I can only think of Bonnie were she lives or dies depending on your choices.
I think we will find out what happened to them through Clementine. Maybe the amount of Clementine's past she tells us depends on how you treat her and your dialogue choices as you play as Javier. If you're nice and trusting then she'll open up to you more.
The game will start with Clem and AJ standing over a grave. Little AJ has tears running down his ill chubby cheeks.....Clementine has a sorrowful look on her face.
AJ: "I will miss Uncle Kenny/Aunty Jane....so much"
Clementine: "Yes....It was just bad luck that there was a walker in that outhouse in the crap...getting bit on the butt...what are the odds? Still seeing Kenny/Jane jump in there and beating that walker to death with that petrified piece of poop is an image I wish I could unsee."
Fade out.
Now you know.
They don't stand a chance
If we're lucky? Maybe more than Omid in S2.
Wow. I was gonna post something along the lines of "I don't know how they can survive.", but you truly opened my eyes on the matter. Carley/Doug were really well handled. Having Jane/Kenny around for the whole season would be awesome. And it can be done. They don't have to be the focus of the story, but they can influence it a little bit.
For about a year now, I've had zero hope when it came to Jane/Kenny(Jane for me) surviving. I was even starting to lose hope on AJ. Seeing him and Clem together sparked hope and inspiration. But not really any for Jane. I've kinda come to terms with her presumptive demise. But now, I'll be super pissed if she can't at least have 1 episode w/o being killed, or disapeared.
If we're lucky, neither will even get a mention.
Player: [forces Clementine to talk to herself about the past]
What's left for the unlucky ones?
"They got unlucky... REAL unlucky."
That's a mention though.
something something 3 confirmed
And then notifications pop up all like:
(?) Clementine thinks you're nosy.
(?) You should probably stop trying to use reverse psychology on her.
(?) Javy seriously, you got 4 Episodes left together. You should really learn to shut up.
(?) Now's she's kicked you right in your cuban balls. Don't say I didn't warn you, cause I did!
I'm not sure. I'm hoping Telltale don't take the easy way out and just have the two of them killed off instantly Omid style. If they show up in flashbacks and we meet up with them later then that'd definitely be nice, but I feel they'll probably end up dying eventually. I don't see Kenny and Jane surviving until the very end
I hope they pull a Pete on them, you know how Pete's presence was optional for a while in Michonne and yet they really did a great job in making him play an active role? Kinda hope Kenny and Jane get that for whenever they show up.
They'll probably do something like this :
If Clem stayed in Wellington : She'll mention that the place got overrun by walkers and she and AJ were the only survivors.
If Clem stayed with Kenny : She'll mention that Kenny sacrificed his life for her and AJ.
If Clem stayed with Jane and let the family in : She'll mention that Jane couldn't stand them and left.
If Clem stayed with Jane and didn't let the family in : She'll mention that Jane thought AJ was a burden to her and left.
If Clem ended up alone : Not sure really!
I thought you were referring to the people who'd be unlucky that we were lucky that there was no mention.
But if you're referring to the two walking enema's... well, let's just say douche-rags are typically disposable for a reason.
Would be cool if the 400 Days choice - who went with Tavia - could affect at least what happened to Jane.
Seriously though, if TWDGS3 lacks in the choice and consequence department like Season 2 very much did, then I'll be worried about Game of Thrones Season 2.
Yes! I actually think the choices and consequences in Season One felt like those! Although, the episodes were longer so they were given more space to make certain choices have an effect.
Yeah it would be; I never thought of that. E.g. the number of people you as Tavia were able to bring with you would determine if Jane and the others are able to defend Howe's. Or perhaps if you made the more "humane" choices as the 400 Days characters (like if you're Shel, you let Roberto the Portuguese prisoner go), your 400 Days characters are easier to be reasoned with, and Jane and the rest are more likely to be able to successfully negotiate with them.
Similarly, lemme add a few things @Lilacsbloom and I had been talking about, in terms of how our actions could determine Jane's/Kenny's fate:
It's possible that we could make choices that determine what happened to Jane and Kenny during Season 3 when Clementine tells Javier what happened in the past or something along those lines, it would be a nice way to bring back older characters imo.
With the Alone ending, they might make it as though Clementine bumped into a character from the past - Mike, Arvo, Bonnie, Lilly or Christa, less likely but possibly even Molly or the 400 Days characters that didn't go with Tavia?
As we meet Clementine AFTER the timeskip I'd say they're dead.
I don't think either of them will appear at all and trust me i hope I'm wrong but i just get the feeling telltale will fuck us over and only have Clem explain their fates through dialogue and if this happens then it's just damn lazy and such a shame. Also it would greatly annoy me given the fact we know they can easily make 2 different characters play alternate roles as we saw with Carley and Doug.
I really hope they will appear in some shape or form though because if they don't our ending choices will just feel meaningless. No one cares to find out if they died off screen
Its either there not going to be in S3 at all and just be gone at the start and few to little is explained of what happened to them like Christa (which it looks like already), or its going to be like Omid and Jane or Kenny is going to die quickly in the beginning, because it would be alot of work for telltale to keep Jane or Kenny alive when they are also dead in other players games.
Meaning that if Bonnie could die, then Mike could too, since Carley and Doug could die in a similar manner, this could happen also
I agree 100%. Yet, if Tell Tale created a new engine upgrade, like in Michonne, then I hope that they explain Kenny and Jane more. If they can't do that then they need to take time off from constant IP projects.
Okay, can someone please explain to me how the episodes being shorter meant there wasn't as much interactivity or variety or even story in Season 2?
They won't be in it at all. We will get a couple throw away lines at best, because long term fans do not matter to Telltale at all anymore.
History has shown that Telltale can be quite inconsistent on how they treat their detriment characters, but is all this worry stemming from the teaser not showing either character? Also, didn't Gavin (Kenny's VA) say something about recording lines a bit ago?
