*Tell Him Off*
Okay Telltale, talk about misleading. That choice should have been titled "EXPOSE FRAUD MARRIAGE.*

I've yet to see anyone choose the option to tell David off, what exactly does he say?
He says .. kate is gonna leave your ass or something like that.
Bleeding hellfire, Javier!
"You know what, David? Time for you to open your eyes. Kate's gonna leave your ass. She told me so."
Way to throw Kate under the bus like that. Such a douche.
Yeah that particular dialogue was awful, there was no choice where you could not be a dick to Kate either "I don't give a F" or exposing her like that...
My reaction
"Bla bla, don't be a dick bro. Your bitch said she gun' leave yo ass."
"You did? What da fuq?"
"No I didn't, Javi don't say that!"
Something like that, yelling.
In Russian translation it's more like "answer him back" so I decided to pick that to make him shut up and the next second I've done that I was like "AWWW SHIT"!
Well, at least I didn't glass him.
Glass him 2016
I play my Javi as a guy that's trying to do right by his family and redeem himself, so I backed down. But I heard about what telling him off leads to. I think it was alright, really. A lot of times in stressful, emotional arguments, we say things in the heat of the moment we don't necessarily mean to. This definitely seemed like one of those times, and it's pretty fair. With Javi's brother always talking about family and everything, he can't seem to care enough about his own, being pretty hypocritical. He didn't mean to throw her under the bus, but it just slipped out.
I died after playing this on my alternate playthrough. Jesus Christ TellTale, it was hilarious but you can't do this.
I thought by "Tell Him Off" Javier would say something like "You're a piece of shit, David. Your wife splits her hand open and you're crying about a fucking glass?" This was... Something else.
If you played it a certain way the last few minutes of the scene had been you two flirting. I knew from the get go when picking that option that it would be about her leaving him.
I just didn't get the point of Kate yelling at Javier about being married when a few minutes prior she had pretty much picked leaving over her marriage.
I thought Javier was going to tell him to fuck off.
Then, when i picked that choice, i regretted it and paused it, and loaded the checkpoint. I didnt see that coming.
This, holy crap this. Just, really, what the hell, Telltale?
I picked that option trying to defend Kate.
I fucked up. I like Kate
Kate's response of "Marriage is forever" (or something like that) has got me worried, now that the hubby is back. If she lives is she going to go back to him? Ew. Guess next playthrough I'll have to flirt with the pretty doctor lady to have something to fall back on.
Who knows? Maybe the 4 years apart from David/time with Javier (Especially if you kissed her) will have her thinking differently now. She's not wearing her wedding ring anymore either.
I was like sweet jeebus...are you trying to get David to kill Kate?
I can be a brutally direct person....but holy fuck....
Choices matter! Banjo music in the background.
I didn't use that option in my first playthrough since I wanted to play the good brother but when I chose, that definitively wasn't what I expected. But I had a good laugh, especially with Kate's reaction.
You know what I was expecting from that? With what Javier was saying before about David complaining about Javi never being around and then when he actually is, he wants him out, I was expecting something like,
"Make up your Goddamn mind, David! Do you want me to be here, or do you want me to leave?!"
That or just simply
"Go fuck yourself!"
Story of my life.
I just want to know why she did all that talking about leaving, hand holding, etc. if she was just going to yell at him about being married.
I restarted that scene. That was never my intention to say something about the marriage
I would have, but there isn't any rewind so I couldn't start it over. I think TTG did it on purpose.
You could just have exited to the main menu and start over, it was literally the first scene in the episode. I did.
Yeah just needed to exist the scene and you would start there again. Kissing Kate and that thing about the marriage should some what have of a huge impact with David in the future I think
Choices don't matter in this game anyways so what's the point of restarting.
That was pretty messed up. I thought Javi was just going to tell him to fuck off or something along those lines
They do sometimes. I mean the most interesting thing about Telltale to me is the story and how your moral is questioned. Killing Jane or Kenny was one of the most difficult scenes ever in a Telltale game. Not, because of the choices, because my Clementine had her own history with those character. My Clementine maybe wants to be with Jane, your Clementine wants to be with Kenny. My Clementine is kind. Your Clementine is rude. My Clementine doesn't want to be friends with Sarah. Your Clem wants to be friends.
It's the here and now and the memories that matter. The first blind playtrough is always the most intense one
"Should I kill this person so no information are going to leak"
"Should I keep this person alive and maybe he will be useful to me"
It can be really intense. Especially, if you only have a short amount of time sometimes.
That's what I was thinking he was going to do!
Only time they ever "matterd" was through brief determinate dialogue. Sometimes not even that.
Funny you say this when literally every Clem in S3 is the same Clem. There is no variation and she doesn't change at all no matter how you raised her in S1 and 2.
All due respect, but I cant help but find it odd when people defend telltale. Not that I'm looking for an opportunity to shit on them, but the "choices matter" is just a shitty illusion. It's even becoming an even more shitty nearly non-existent illusion in season 3 and the backlash on the forums is proof of that.

For real, I didn't like that choice. I tried to "tell him off" then quickly exited and reloaded when I saw what he was actually saying.
ugh, i hate the choices that make you think one thing and turn our to be something different and completely unexpected
darn you telltale.
I chose it trying to help Kate, i inmediately regretted it
You know, I sort of like to approach Telltale and their choices in a similar manner to wrestling; you know it's staged, but you pretend it isn't because it's more entertaining that way.
Although there is still this tiny fragment of me holding out hope that they'll eventually prove everyone wrong and make a choice that matters. Even though that hope gets dashed every game they make... but fuck it, I'm not giving up.
I was thinking that Javier would just say something so David would back off, but when he did what he did, well, I laughed out loud, but kept it as my main decision because I honestly don't care.
Tell who off?
Yeah even pewdiepie was like wtf that was misleading on his playthrough I watched last night. I wanted to tell David to stop being a bitch, ended up throwing kate under the bus. So i reloaded check point and stayed the fuck out of it lol
Because she didn't say that she was leaving him. She joked about having a fresh start, and vented a little because she trusted Javier. Javier turned around and escalated the situation from 1 to 10. Marriage involves a lot of things like religion, money, family etc - and you can't just drop all of that instantly. But the main issue with the option is that it is misleading, since we're playing as Javier we should know what he's intending to do.
