At one point Ellie has to care for a severely injured adult, herself, and a horse for some months. From what we see, she can at least clumsily hunt for food.
Considering The Last of Us, since The Last of Us 2 isnt out yet, so we dont know about that, we can assume that Ellie has been living under … morethe protection of the fireflies for most of her life, so she might not have the field experience Clem has, but at the same time, there seems to be more threatening zombies in The Last of Us, but there is way fewer of them.
I'd say Clem probably would be better, considering she knows stuff like food procurement and other survival stuff, dunno if Ellie knows that stuff.
Clem has also now been surviving on her own for 2 years, and she is 13, when Ellie was 14, I dont think she has been alone in the apocalypse, since I am gonna assume that she has been under the protection of the Fireflies
Although, Ellie is immune to the infection, so she has an advantage there, but not being immune probably makes you more careful I dunno
Hmm, thats true, forgot about that, but ultimately it can be hard to compare, considering, if Clem gets bit, she is done, but avoiding getting bitten in The Walking Dead is severely easier than in The Last of Us, considering the last of us zombies are faster, ultimately it can be hard to compare, considering there seems to be (maybe?) more survivors in The Last of Us than in The Walking Dead, considering they still have a somewhat working government, at least in the Quarantine zones.
In the end, I think they cant really be compared, considering there is different dangers in both worlds, and they have different backgrounds, and theyre both pretty damn badass in my book :P

That's such an interesting thing I noted while playing the game initially as well.
The segment purposefully swapped between Joel's mounted rescue of Ellie and Ellie's attempted escape only to seemingly reverse the roles. You soon release Ellie never needed Joel to survive. Hell, Joel needed Ellie to keep himself alive and with how hurt he was, her entire distraction/assault inadvertently helped him more than it did her.
TLoU is far more compelling then people here give it credit for.
