Hey, Blind Sniper. How about I create another STRAWPOLL regarding this ; )
(By the way, for the snack poll I chose the snack that nobody voted for)
awaits ban
But rewrites could be bad too!
Two Best Examples(in my opinion) is:
1.The Wolf Among Us
2. Half-Life 2(I Know it's not telltale made game but still)
They or originally had very atmospheric and fantastic story and design that was later changed to be "Very Good Game" even they could be "Fantastic and Awesome Game"
Regarding the recent events and interview, I feel with you guys. There seems to be a lot of stuff happening behind scenes. I don't know why … morethe cut this and that or why they rewrote this and that. It is unfortunate that Melissa has recorded a lot of lines that wasn't used. But ultimately the decision on how to make the game is still Telltale's. I don't want to sound like someone who keep defending Telltale, but rewriting and changes always happens in gaming development and Telltale isn't the first developers to do so.
We see how the three episodes are going to go. Either they managed to do something excellent or it won't be. Either way, I hope Telltale learned from their mistakes and do better in the future. I have been playing their games for four years and I hate to see them heading toward a bad direction now.
EDIT: Also hope nothing happens to Melissa.
Oh you can bet your bottom dollar that the next set of episodes will be equally shitty in terms of gameplay, lack of hubs, character development and extremely short episode lengths. Telltale have been a sinking ship since after season 1 finished.
Each game has got worse and worse in terms of effort
Seriously though, this needs to be addressed:
If the rest of the season is as short as episode 1 and 2, 1-1.5 hours, then we are really l… moreooking at a 5 and a half to a 7 hour campaign?!
Seriously?
Season 1 was around 13 hours for its campaign, while season 2 was close to 11 hours. If ANF is around 6-7 hours.... for a $24.99 TTG? I'm seriously gonna be pissed, and probably talk to Steam support about a refund. I'll go ahead and say this right now: it would be so cheap, sleazy, and unacceptable to be goaded into a 25 dollar episodic game that has historically surpassed well over 10 hours of gameplay, only to find it barely passing 7...
Can TTG make a statement and address this concern, please?
Loving the new season so far...other than the Kenny and Jane thing...but hell...I think every game needs something to divide the opinions an… mored call into question the decision makers...Episode Length Needs to be at least 90 Minutes.
Clementine and Javier...killer team...just ask the Bar.
I am digging Javier...I am digging this mystery behind Clementine and AJ...where is he...what happened...what did the NF do that made her abandon them...how has a sweet natured Clem become a hardened survivor that finds life alone preferable to being in groups. I am loving the ideas of society trying to rebuild in the city-state model...the lawless frontier where humanity is at the point that the walkers are treated like natural force of nature like thunderstorms and floods. The length is bullshit though....and dammit I want more Clem.
Fair enough. Sadly for me none of that is anywhere near enough.
I mean who is Javier really? What do we really know about him besides having a family who he wasn't always there for in the past. What did he do job wise per apocalypse? What sort of things does he like? What exactly is his personality? There are so many things Telltale need to develop with him and his family to even give us a sniff to care about them over. I didn't care at all when his niece died. Hell i cared more about Shawn Greene dying than her and he probably had less screen time than her! It's Telltale's biggest problem for a long time. They don't know how to write decent characters anymore. My opinion obviously but I have stated why.
I do agree that the mystery surrounding AJ is interesting enough to ask questions but knowing Telltale I wouldn't be surprised if they give him an offscreen death or pull a Christa's baby card and leave his disappearance a mystery. I mean after all, it seems like they want to erase all memory of the past 2 seasons and reboot the series. They shouldn't break what didn't need to be fixed in the first place.

Well we know Javier was a professional Baseball player who got caught betting on the games he played in...got a life time ban...we know he took his family for granted and had a strained relationship with David. He has an easy going somewhat charming personality...has grown into a father figure. But I agree...more character building would be appreciated...and in these types of games are mandatory.

I'm actually not too disappointed in the long wait for episode 3. This gives them lots of time to make the episode amazing. If it was a month wait I feel it could be rushed.
Oh what a fun DAY....I find out that we will be waiting for awhile for a new ep...but I can wait....but a little over an hour ago I am writi… moreng a report at the front desk at the ER when this couple brings their son...they are talking to the duty nurse when the kid projectile vomits all over the duty nurse and I soaking me pretty much to the bone. I love being a nurse .
I'm actually pretty excited for next episode. I've always wanted to explore an actual area like the one we're going to. Then again, I got disappointed with Carver's in season 2 which I considered the worst episode of season 2.

Who said that we actually get to explore It? If the previous two episodes were any indication, we will get a small room as a hub and the rest will be on rails.
And yeah, s2e3 was where many people saw it starting to go downhill.

I said it 10 times before release...
DONT.SCREW.THIS.UP.TTG
But ttg just doesnt listen...
Now that Melissa has taken a step, maybe s3 will be improved now...

I am also more excited for Game of Thrones, that game is the one where my interest lies. But the recent news do make me worry about how that… more game is going to go. And if Season 2 is also in a state of rewrites and changes.
We can only hope.
And what do we say to death?
Not today.
((I so wanted to say it. ))
The web team said that the all white design is not final and just a placeholder.
So can we get a dark theme option one of these days? I think it looks aesthetically better and it doesn't screw your eyes over, it'd be much appreciated, that or I might have to make my own CSS for this website.
Ah... back when we had a backgound image
The web team said that the all white design is not final and just a placeholder.
and … morea dislike option. Where did these times gone?
Trust me, be glad the dislike system is gone. It was very heavily abused and nobody had a common consensus if downvotes were for disagreements, or if something was incorrect, or if you just didn't like something. Whenever posts were downvoted heavily, people would whine and derail threads on a massive scale. Trolls would sign up to anonymously downvote every post on a thread, and people would respond by derailing the threads with Reddit Upvote gifs to "combat the downvote trolls."
Now that it is gone, people actually have to defend and substantiate why they disagree with something.
I know that making a dark theme via some quick CSS tinkering would, technically speaking, probably be quick and easy work but I figure that they are saving more of their efforts for when the launch the actual revamp - which unfortunately seems to be coming along slowly.

Alright, I guess I'll just view elements and use my rudimentary CSS knowledge, should turn out good since CSS is simple as hell.
Edit: I made a compilation of screenshots on what my dark theme CSS for this site turned out to be, feel free to suggest anything, it's preliminary still in some aspects, but I've cleaned it up quite a bit. Imgur compilation link here and GitHub source code here. Some things need to be patched up on some other parts of the website, but the community, news, and most things should work fine. I think the only issues I've had were images not displaying on the store screenshots, but when you click it, it opens the full image anyways. So yeah, I'll probably try to fix that sometime, but I just use this site for the community mainly, so it should be good.

I think a thread I posted in got merged here, but I'll say it again.
I think February 7th is when episode 3 will drop. Telltale has released the physical release of their games the same day as a new episode in the past, and it lines up with their release schedule.

Bans are for sissies that don't follow through with poll results. So, that depends - Are you willing to have the cajones to follow through this time?
If not, I'm coming for you.
Possibly, though I'd expected I could play ep 3 and 4 before Andromeda's launch...
Now I don't really have nothing to play in the meantime, March 21st is still a long time.
Wow nice, Justice is real

I really liked the first two episodes and can't wait for the next one the only gripe I have is they need too be longer.
Justice is lost.
Justice is raped.
Justice is gone.

An hour and 20??? Jeez you must have took your time then. Even without rushing it took me 1 hour. Ep2 was 45 fucking minutes
Can i ask what it is you actually like so far? Because other than the story, for me as you know it's just fucking awful!

Telltale's writers after recent fan feedback:

Thats good that we got even that much about Javier but we know nothing about his family though and this is something they definitely need to work on.
Did it get eaten by walkers though?
I actually prefer longer waits myself just... holy shit what a mess.
Well... the kid must've heard the news himself. No wonder.
But yeah... gross. xD Kid feeling better?
I'm actually pretty excited for next episode. I've always wanted to explore an actual area like the one we're going to. Then again, I got disappointed with Carver's in season 2 which I considered the worst episode of season 2.
Nah the walkers in my hype train world don't eat shitty writting.
lol They banned the guy for wanting shorter episodes?
Why is TWAU such a bad example? It's as good as TWD S1
Then articulate your opinions and start some discussion. That's what a message board is for.>
Who said that we actually get to explore It? If the previous two episodes were any indication, we will get a small room as a hub and the rest will be on rails.
And yeah, s2e3 was where many people saw it starting to go downhill.
I guess we can wait four months for Episode 3 then, just like happened to the season finale of GOT.
The NF will fall three minutes into the episode, just like the other communities.
No that wasn't the reason. People are just joking about this guy.
Ah okay then.
GOT S2 is going to be sweet. ^^

And Tales from the Borderlands Episode 2... And The Wolf Among Us Episode 2...

Oh yeah....this is what happens when you let your 6 year old devour a party bag of Cheetos and Mtn Dew Code Red....or bad parenting I dunno.
Everyone's still going mental about season 3?
Well, I'm just going to stand here then and watch.
When does Telltale's Christmas/New Year Break actually end? I bet we get a statement soon after they returned to work.
At least i hope so.
Their break has been over for a few days according to Twitter, but I doubt they will comment on things like this.
I think a thread I posted in got merged here, but I'll say it again.

One of the highlights of S2
I wonder if we'll get an interview with them over the next few months.
Interviewer: 'Telltale, have you seen the recent fan criticism regarding the first 'two' episodes of Season 3?'
Telltale: '8.8/10 on ign! A must buy!'
Interviewer: 'I...see...but what about Melissa Hutchison's remarks about the episodes and season as a whole?'
Telltale '...Must...buy? Season 3! A must buy. 8.8/10. Ign! A must buy!'
Have you read the Melissa Hutchison interview? Wouldn't put any money on February..
