To be fair, we've seen very little of Ava outside of that flashback. The fact that she seems so affable despite her dark color scheme(which sorta makes her seem like an opposite of Jane, now that I think about it) could very well mean she may want a baby/friend/both to the point of doing shady things to get it.
I have to agree that Ava IS a little creepy and stuff, but I don't think she has any reason to take AJ for herself. I don't think She wants that either.
AJ is nothing more than a plot device to cause the Kenny/Jane conflict. Clem can be played as not caring about him at all. And of course Telltale made Alvin the father instead of Carver.

Yeah, but if she wanted a baby, she didn't have to Steal AJ from Clementine. I don't think it's right, by the way. (but I don't think that Ava cares about what's right either )

I didn't notice until after completing the episode and I saw a screenshot, but you've gotta remember what's going on at that moment. They just escaped a large herd, met a new guy who tells them Eleanor and Kate at heading to a place taken over by NF, and then immediately head through an underground tunnel and get attacked by another group of walkers. I can't really fault Javier there, they were probably all concerned and shortly after she tells him she used to be in the group but left. He probably just assumed that was why she reacted that way finding out about Richmond, and that she's headed straight to one of their settlements.

["Why I Don't Care For AJ."]
A lot of people have been talking about the "AJ situation." Would you leave him? Would you keep him with you?
I, personally, would keep AJ with me as a distraction in case of an emergency. This may seem evil to a lot of people, but amoral and evil are two completely separate things. Keeping Clementine (myself) alive is the primary objective of survival, not burdening yourself with something that isn't yours. I could understand if Clementine had an emotional attachment to AJ. But, AJ is just someone else's child. This means there is no maternal instincts to protect the baby, no formation or connection greater than "it's a baby that needs the safety."
There was a point after Sarah's horrible death where everyone was just sleeping, like nothing had happened. Rebecca asks Clementine if she'd like to hold the baby. If Clementine declines, Rebecca states "it's ok Clementine, we're family." But what kind of family? One that allowed a young girl to get viciously mauled and eaten alive. The point being nobody ever cared when somebody died that they weren't attached to emotionally. Yet when it's convenient for them to care, then they show empathy. And I can't stand blatant hypocrisy.
Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts on the "AJ situation." I have no attachment to something that can't help me or at least give me emotional relief.
Clem left him for unknown reasons there and has trying to get back ever since. That's why she wanted to make that deal about the van. When Prescott fell, she saw a perfect opportunity to convince the group to go to Richmond to see AJ again.
This is also why she's so anxious and terrified when Jesus tells the group that ANF had taken over. It's not because she was one of them, but because she has no idea if AJ is safe or not.

I understand what you are saying and I agree with your opinion. However, if I had to choose whether or not to keep AJ with me (even in a real apocalypse) I would choose to keep him. Let me explain this (this is MY view on the topic):
A new born = A new hope and this means that if a baby can be raised in a zombie apocalypse, then there is Hope for All the people to finally reclaim their lives again (even if that will take years) and for the Human race to survive this apocalypse.
This is just my opinion on this issue.
Who would kill a Baby??

But I always like giving people an ultimatum in scenarios that'll push their reserve to the limits cause I'm a sadist.
Had you been caught in a scenario of extremely dire consequence. No bullets, walkers swarming all sides, very little to defend yourself with, and maybe a ledge off out of reach. You could either use AJ to bait the walker swarm and have a chance to escape or tuck him in an area he'll most likely never be found and die.
My ideal is if it's my life, I have to take that risk... Cold, but hardly evil.

I doubt Clem left him. In the interview with Mely Hutch she mentions "When Clem and AJ got separated...*" Not, "When Clem and AJ separated." Makes me think their separation wasn't intentional.

Yes it would be unfortunate you heartless creep. Unless she had to eat him for survival then I would be fine with that....I want my baby back, baby back ribs.....Chili''s baby back ribs...
Look at what happened to him, it's further into the apocalypse and by now a child who has witnessed death wouldn't have the same motivation a middle-age man would have in trying to redeem himself by protecting a child at the start of the apocalypse.
but why did then Lee took care of her then?!

...And AJ sucks eggs, so the hell with him.
i believe that perhaps that girl that barged in our one night hut kidnapped him. depending on our choices, if we turned her down maybe when New Frontier started going insane, they wouldn't let anyonr leave. Clementine escaped, and she'd go back to get AJ when she could mentally do it? i dunno its just my theory. and maybe in ties that bind part 2 when she said "she has to go" before conrad threatens to shoot her maybe she thought that wad the opportunity to find AJ and return later?

I personally don't think that Clem left AJ in Richmond because when Jesus told everyone that Richmond was over run with the New Frontier Clem seemed to me abit hesitant to go because of her past with NF. If AJ was in Richmond I think Clem would be all "oh sh!t AJ is there!!!" And would want to hurry and try find him.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. Like, for her, it goes from a return to Richmond to sneaking into Richmond. She does split with the group right down the street from Richmond.
Well, the thread was a worse case scenario.

True but remember she said she was leaving on her own after she told Javi she was in the NF. She said that she was leaving the tunnel solo after they got out regardless.

Why do people worry if a child is late in his speaking? are they worried that the child might not be able to speak later on? hmm sounds ridicolous

Yeah,you right!
I only wish that were true

To be fair, he at least deserves to be in the Season more than they did.
Me too.

This is problably where AJ is, but, unfortunately, we can't know for Sure...

Yes, but he's a useful plot device!

He better not have ;(
Double post.
I really hope he didn't.
But knowing Telltale, he probably died.
W-w-w-w-w-w-wait... WHAT!!? Clementine wasn't Lee's child but why did then Lee took care of her then?!

LMAO
That's cool with me.
AJ's dead, or for some reason Clem left him with TNF but that doesn't sound like clem
That's interesting... maybe she was kidnapped by Ava?
I personally don't think that Clem left AJ in Richmond because when Jesus told everyone that Richmond was over run with the New Frontier Clem seemed to me abit hesitant to go because of her past with NF. Maybe she was hesitant because she had to change her approach..?? IDK honestly
Hmm, this is a really good theory in my opinion.
I was kinda thinking the same thing. Like, for her, it goes from a return to Richmond to sneaking into Richmond. She does split with the group right down the street from Richmond.
Anyway, I just hope he is alive.
Yes, but this only happens if you "Kill Conrad". Nevertheless, if you make this decision, you could be right about this.
True but remember she said she was leaving on her own after she told Javi she was in the NF. She said that she was leaving the tunnel solo after they got out regardless.
