Season 3 Clementine

What do you guys think about season 3 Clementine so far?

  • I still like her, but I'm disappointed that my choices haven't really affected her at all. My Clementine was basically a saint, and now she robs and kills people lol.

  • A strong and very capable survivor who has grown so much since we first saw her in Season 1, but there needs to be more impact based on our previous choices when it comes to her personality. I still love her just as much if not more than I already did, but I would like to see more changes in her behavior in future episodes.

  • She's definitely a strong survivor, but nothing like the Clem I had in Season 2.

I will never get tired of posting how much I adore Clementine's character.

She's exactly how I tried to shape her up to be - a survivor through and through - and I couldn't be happier.

...still wanna play as her, tho.

  • I lucked out there, Season 3 Clem is basically who I was raising her to be. A little more trigger happy then I wanted her to be, but thems the breaks.

But the fact that that is the only the way she can be is a real problem.

  • A survivor and total badass. Lee taught her well.

  • Loving it. The traumatic things she's experienced are starting to overwhelm the poor girl until she passes the point of no return, I really hope we get a chance to break through to her.

  • Since she's not playable, she's a mix of Nice and Scumbag and fails at both

  • For me, she feels really off. Throughout S1 and S2 she killed no one, now shes already killed like 3 people at least.

  • That's just puberty, one day you're innocent and the next you're on a killing spree

  • I find it acceptable that she became a tough edged character now. It makes a lot of sense as it matches the environment the world has become.

  • I agree that it should of had more of an affect on her. Either way, I believe that we'll see more of her past throughout Season 3, why else would they ask if we shot or left Lee when we recreated the story if it wasn't going to be mentioned?

Also, I guess the excuse is, even if you didn't kill or tried to preserve her, Clementine still loses everyone... twice... Season 1 and Season 2.

I can see how she is the way she is after two years of being alone.

  • She's actually a little more held back than many people's Clementine's were in Season 2.

I preserved my virtual daughter, I was shocked when I heard so many people hardened her into an iron! Haha

  • She is very cool in this season! Also adorable as hell... still!

I do love seeing her badass side and her caring side constantly contradict herself. Haha!

I would love to play as her too, but I do hella enjoy seeing her grow more and more.

Hey, I'd rather a Season 3 with Clementine as a main character, but not playable (much) than no Season 3 at all haha!

  • Well yeah, but I mean, it's only been 2 episodes.

I feel like it may show up later on, I just don't see the point of us even recreating the story if it doesn't matter on Clementine. I do think that she will mention Lee again as it asked us whether or not we shot or left him.

Also, I feel like she is the exact mix between caring Clementine and ruthless Clementine.

  • I can tell Clementine is one of your favorite characters! Haha

I actually don't think Lee taught her this... Season 2, we struggled to find the new "Lee" for her... But I finally realized towards the end when I made her go alone, that she is shaping up to be her very own Lee now!

That's why we never had a real adult figure in Season 2, and the ones we had had there own flaws while Lee was practically the "saint". Clementine is shaping up to be who she was raised by...

Lee gave Clementine his life, and she will remember that for the rest of her life.

A survivor and total badass. Lee taught her well.

  • Hey bud! I feel like me and you get in constant discussions on these forums!

What did you mean break into her though? As like, her opening up to Javier more, or see her break down crying?

Loving it. The traumatic things she's experienced are starting to overwhelm the poor girl until she passes the point of no return, I really hope we get a chance to break through to her.

  • She can kill a few in Season 2, and she's seen enough to know.

Also, let's be fair, Eli was an accident! Haha.

I feel like whether or not you shoot Kenny had a huge effect on her.

  • Truthfully, I probably wouldn't even be playing the game if she wasn't here so I'll have to agree with that one. :)

There's just something special about being able to control someone you've been watching grow for years now, I guess!

  • When I started on these forums, I was prone on destroying anyone against my opinion.

Now, I moved on and fixed that haha.

I do miss playing as Clementine, but man can I just admit how awesome of a character she is?

Season 1, I was mainly focused on Lee and preserving Clementine.

Season 2, Kenny shifted my main focus from Clementine to him, but in the end, I thought he was going to kill Jane in cold blood... so I had to shoot my favorite character... I did reverse eventually because Jane really pissed me off there, but I did forget about Clementine and focused more on Kenny.

Season 3, I literally primarily focus on Clementine. Tripp is another character that is very dear to my heart as well, and Javier is a really good main character!

Just, Clementine is the face of this game, if she dies in this Season, it'll be the "final" season in my book haha!

  • Hey, that's a form of character development for yourself, isn't it? :)

Clementine is literally my favourite fictional character ever, I'm super invested in her.
I suppose it's normal that your perspective shifted a bit because you were playing as Clementine so you had to interact with other characters instead. And Kenny being a returning character probably influenced that.

Tripp is great, he's my favourite NPC so far (since I guess technically Clem still counts as playable :P).

  • As i've said before she's okish for what she's meant to be. I find her kinda bland and just there at times for fanservice and appeal. I will say that i like her new design which i think is the best one by far. I do hope that Telltale finds the good balance of how to use her in the future because as of now it isn't working and at times i had to remind myself clementine was still around.

Yes, it's understandable that she's brooding and distant now, but losing people you care about doesn't necessarily lead you to killing and robbing people. She doesn't even act remorseful over anything she does. You can call her a thief in s3e1 and she just shrugs and robs you anyway. In No going back with Lee she can say she doesn't want to hurt anyone, but now she doesn't care. It's just too much of a change if you played a moral Clem in s2. Edit: They might make choices more important with the rest of s3 though, who knows.

  • Yeah, who knows at the moment.

Then again, you can also prevent Clementine from stealing from you though, but she is certainly more cold when it comes to human deaths.

  • I still count Clementine as the main protaganist haha, with all the choices tailored towards her, and it's hard for me to see her as a side character haha.

Tripp is quite awesome, funny, nice, and a damn viking!

Yeah, Season 2 for sure shifted my focus away from her, but I never thought less of her, just sadly lost my investment, and Kenny is for sure the reason behind that!

It's quite hard to choose my favorite between Clementine, Kenny, and Lee... But... I'll try real quick for funz haha.

    1. Lee; I may be crucified for putting him behind Kenny and Clementine, but it's probably because of the time we had with Kenny and Clementine. Lee is such a strong character and I loved his character, it was quite a shame that his story ended early, but his death was the most impactful deaths in gaming.

    2. Kenny; I have never gone through so much pain with another character, I have also never seen a character develop until I saw him... well one more develops more. Kenny was my fan favorite from Season 1 behind Lee and Clem, so when I saw him back, I immediately grew attached with him. Because of this investment I had with him, it caused me to start feeling sad when I saw him go down the wrong road. By the last scene, I chose to shoot him because I thought he was going to far... I couldn't let Clementine see her father figure kill her friend, so I had to shoot him... Later changed my mind because Jane is an ass.

    3. Clementine; When I said no character besides one has developed this much before, well Clementine is the definition of development. Season 1, I absolutely adored her and did my best to conceal her. Season 2, I played with my reigns looser, and I knew when her gun got Omid killed, she would not be the same. Season 3, I finally see her ultimate change, she is badass now! She smiles a lot still, and she does care a lot still (according to your choices) and seeing her change is quite incredible.

  • Yeah I've gotten to recognize people by photos too (honorable mention: @dont_look_back), I think I'm the only one so far who has this picture specifically, so hopefully it helps segments the comments. When I see Lee stock pictures I usually have to check the usernames though to clarify who it is though.

You have to use your Steam profile picture, I highlighted some things in red boxes for clarification.

  • Oh! That's actually really cool, I'm fairly new to the forums, while I've played TWD Game since Season 1... You can't call me a true fan because I only play TWD Game from Telltale, but that's the only thing I ever really liked haha.

I do play the game on Xbox, but I could set a steam account up again. I could join your clan of Clementine's as long as I find a unique one haha!

Thank you, a lot! Means a lot that you were willing to help! :D

  • No problem, I try to help people on forums quite a lot (back on my Steam forums days it was like babysitting). Also you're a fan of TWDG, that counts, I don't like other Telltale games either really, I do say The Wolf Among Us was very well done, I think you'll love it if you try it out. Other than that, I don't really find interest in their other games.

  • Me either. I actually did watch and enjoy The Wolf Among Us, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as TWD Game, all three Seasons.

My first telltale game, believe it or not, was Jurassic Park, I hated it, and I also didn't want to play TWD game because it looked slow to me at first, good thing I warmed up to it!

Also thanks, I'm sure many people appreciate your gratitude and caring attitude on these forums!
