Sounds kinda dumb to me. If you play a game with episodes i assume you begin with season 1? Right time for fresh blood? Yeah, tell that to Rick and Cooooral.
Why doesn´t the narrative stay with Clementine as the protagonist?
Because TT assumed it was the right time for a fresh blood, as S3… more was supposed to show different angle of TWD universe and even lure some new players who weren't familiar with this series, thus wouldn't play as already established protagonist.

But it's perfectly true. Clementine is a caricature of a character now, and was in large parts of Season 2 as well. She was a cute little girl in Season 1, and that's it. There was nothing more to it, no "best character ever" that I ever saw. Clementine's character does not have a single quality anymore that would make me want to know what happens to her, or even care wether she lives or dies.
Here you have some examples.
(!) Each word is a different link, didn't want to make a mess.
Those are all threads from 2014/15 and you can see a lot of complaints.
Job's tweet mentions February. If we want to get technical, it also says 'hope to have news in February', so it's not actually confirmed. Until then, yeah. Random talks tend to be had.
Season 1 was the best by far. But i still quite enjoy ANF, unlike most on here
But I can't understand why there's no adventure left. Find… moreing batteries, getting medicine in a time limit, trying to get the barn door open etc
It's now just a pure interactive movie
Telltale: Ok, we git it. You want more Clementine in episode 3. adds an extra 10 seconds to the 1 minute of playable Clementine There. See? We listen to our fans.

I just realized even the OST of the previous seasons were used in both episodes 1and 2 I can't fucking believe it even the GODDAMN music is reused fuck my life

Absolutely not as if you look at any reviews outside of the forums all of them are positive and like the game. And i wouldn't say i hate ANF so much as i am disappointed and severely underwhelmed with what was presented.
I was actually really excited to play as Javier when he showed up in the trailer, Telltale hadn't done wrong by us before in terms of multiple playable characters IIRC. Then they showed his relatives and I was like "who are these cool-looking people? Fellow survivors? Siblings?" And when Kate showed up on the last promotional image, I was like "cool, mysterious character who's gonna join Clem and Javier as another playable."
Then the game's about to come out, and I see these poor-ish runtimes from their convention events, and I'm like "okay, maybe it's just a speed run and there's still hope." Then we actually get to episode one (part one) and the opening looks great, as if effort was actually put into this game, but then there's so little choice affectation for Clementine, and Javi's family, allies, and enemies are so boring and played out, and it feels like they didn't put as much effort as we were hoping for, but hey, they still supposedly put out two full episodes on the same day, so maybe they did put in the effort.
And finally, our hopes and dreams are shattered, because Clementine has minimal ANYTHING to do with prior choices, Mari's dead, Kate's dying, Jesus is glitching, everyone from Prescott is failing at characterization, the New Frontier is becoming just a plot point instead of surprising us, and the runtime is about as criminal as MCSM E2 (but at least THAT episode SORTA made your choices feel like they matter).
So we wait 2-3 years for the next major part of the best-selling Telltale series which put them on the map, all of our favorite characters are dead or gone save Clem, the calmer fans are essentially told "screw you for wanting the choice-based gameplay we pride ourselves on" while reducing the value of the money we give them to less than what we give to well-deserving indie publishers (in THIS economy and worldly state of affairs, no less), treating the characters that represent diversity like they're all second-rate trash, and we're expected to hold out hope when employees and a leading voice actor tell us that even though the company is immensely larger and profitable, they can't have the initiative to just leave some scenes in for all the underpaid overtime that's spent??
Why would they need a second chance at season 2? I thought season 2 was great, probably even better than season 1, but thats mostly because of my personal experience with season 2, but season 2 was still really good, and yet everyone here is acting like season 2 is terrible, or ruined season 1 or something.
I dont even have a big problem with season 3 really, except for the fact that they have pretty much thrown everything from the previous seasons in the background to tell this story about Javier, where I feel the season would have been much better off from Clems perspective, since Clem will be different based on peoples choices, so people can act out "their Clem" again, while Javier becomes a secondary character, which would mean that his backstory would possibly mean something to the player, or they could do some interesting stuff with him
Would it be overly upsetting to anyone if Telltale just restarted the season? I still think they should go back to No Time Left and do an al… moreternate story where Lee lives. From then on we have a completely different story and Telltale gets a second chance at Season 2.
(If you guessed "Thats a very weird way of incorporating the Super Bowl and Walking Dead or "Hey its talking about Javier but the picture is focused on Clem again", you guessed right!)
Not at all, it was what made the world seem alive, in A New Frontier its basically just action scene after action scene, The Walking Dead is not just action upon action, usually walkers arent even that big of a problem, because they get attracted by loud sounds, but so far in A New Frontier, we have dealt with like 3 walker swarms, and 2 or 3 bandit attacks, and 1 society that we can assume has been standing a long time has already fallen.
Stuff like repairing the radio or repairing the swing in season 1 was there to give the characters.. well character, you began to care for them as you interacted with them, so far in A New Frontier, I barely care about anyone, because I barely know anyone, or know what their motives is, because instead of focusing on that, they made it an action movie with quick time events
But I can't understand why there's no adventure left. Finding batteries, getting medicine in a time limit, trying to get the barn door open etc
Because all of that felt like busy work.

It was busy work...especially when you find out your season one saves got lost so you have to replay...then the getting the meds becomes mind numbing...and the train is boring...that's a lot of filler.

The new season is horrible. It´s like you´re waiting for a movie to end, without doing anything valuable. I want to explore areas like we did in season 1. And Javier? Really. Why doesn´t the narrative stay with Clementine as the protagonist?
Oh you are not wrong...those people who didn't like Clementine were and are morons....that is the official response from everyone who loved playing Clementine...and season three proves our point.

Sounds kinda dumb to me. If you play a game with episodes i assume you begin with season 1? Right time for fresh blood? Yeah, tell that to Rick and Cooooral.
Also, after S2 ending(s), many fans had stated there were not interested in Clementine anymore.
Hm, that i don´t believe.

Okey, i stand corrected. My opinions though is that the story needs Clementine to survive.
Are we gonna continue with random talks here or some news is gonna arrive regarding ep3, its about time everyone
Job's tweet mentions February. If we want to get technical, it also says 'hope to have news in February', so it's not actually confirmed. Until then, yeah. Random talks tend to be had.
This hurts me deeply.

this is my daily post asking for more Clementine screentime in episode 3
thank you
Telltale: Ok, we git it. You want more Clementine in episode 3. adds an extra 10 seconds to the 1 minute of playable Clementine There. See? We listen to our fans.
Is that leaked footage from Ep3 where Javi shared some weed with Miss Stoned Face here?
if you don't hear from me again, telltale ended me for leaking screenshots
I bet this "1 minute" is just a black screen and dramatic background music.
It's as if you hacked into one of the team's computer. :O
But it's the truth!
I wouldn't say that long for EP3 with that said at Telltales current rate that may be the case.
Hell ubisoft listened to criticism in watch dogs 1 now look at the second it's awesome
I just realized even the OST of the previous seasons were used in both episodes 1and 2 I can't fucking believe it even the GODDAMN music is reused fuck my life
Yes but it was a forgettable sequel for the most hyped but disappointing game of 2014.
And we don't even get credit songs anymore. ;-;
Am I like only one who actually doesn't hate s3?
They also reused one of Clementines S2 death scene screams for a redshirt death during Prescott's fall. I thought Clementine was dying off screen.
Absolutely not as if you look at any reviews outside of the forums all of them are positive and like the game. And i wouldn't say i hate ANF so much as i am disappointed and severely underwhelmed with what was presented.
I think so.
Statistically it's impossible for you to be the only person on this planet who doesn't hate season 3, so no you're not
Nope.

Literally poison to my fucking throat
I found that to be an odd tweet from Telltale.
Maybe it's better that way...
What? No, I didn't say anything. Look, a funny gif!
Huh...funny....she doesn't swear any more than any other person...where is this...swearing left and right you speak of?

Well a lot of people complained about playing Clementine...not me...but there were a lot of them. So we got Javier!
