I have never seen a corner of the internet so rife with bitchy, whiny, tantrum-throwing, basement-dwelling losers as the TT Community discus… moresion boards. Y'all act like a bunch of self-entitled, all-knowing, over-reacting dickwads. Bitching about a game that isn't even finished yet is premature and pointless. If you hate it so much, then vote with your wallet and don't buy the next episode or season. Telltale owes you no explanations or apologies, and they can't watch their message boards 24/7/365 and reply to every single question or bit of criticism. Sometimes new games are a hit, sometimes they are duds, but that's just the way it goes in the video game industry. Deal with it or move on.
So I have never really been all that bothered by the wait times before. But the first two episodes of this season just did not grab me. I am interested enough to want to see where it goes. But to be honest I totally forgot about the game till today when I was messing around in steam.
Telltale, I think you all are doing a great job on the new season. Can't wait for episode 3. Keep up the good work and don't let the haters get you down!
Ahem, they exist because of us buddy...we fed their families with our money when the company didn't have shit, so they owe us pretty much everything there is.
A lot of us has funded them since the company's kick-starter begging days when they had to listened to those who invested.
They've made one good game off of those funds, built themselves a name off of our money, stood up firmly on their feet....and what a surprise, they don't need us no more and can treat us like shit. They ditched creativity for mainstream cash chasing.
Why? Because once you built-up that name and capital, you are tempted to start making shit and invest all into marketing. Advertisement today, compensates everything folks...invest enough into it behind your good name and dog shit will sell like hot cakes. You just need that initial success off of something real, and boy, are they milking it now. You've really got to be quite naive to say "sometimes new games are a hit, sometimes they are duds". Making a great game requires a great deal of time and creative effort, which from a financial stand point is far less feasible. This is true of any sector of the entertainment industry today. That's why there is independent cinema art that feeds off donations and grants and the blockbuster consumer hollywood shit that rains gold. Companies that retain creative aspirations (not solely commercial) depend far more on the audience feedback.
Telltale made their choice. It's that choice that's people directly or indirectly bitch about on here.
Many of us feel as part of the company's success...we expected them to stay the creative course. So we'll continue to bitch and let them know how we feel.

I got to thinking that it would have been a lot better to keep Kenny/Jane/Edith alive in flashbacks until the finale when we would find out how they died. It would be nervewracking to go through the whole season knowing that Clem was alone and not truly knowing what went down.
Sigh... I REALLY hope that we get another flashback of them before the season is over. Just one happy flashback to truly say farewell...

Yeah that wasn't supposed to come across as a criticism so much as a suggestion. Job responded to this same basic question with "wait until the season is over" so it seems somewhat likely to get another s2 flashback.
Thats honestly how I thought Season 3 was going to play out, flashbacks with Kenny/Jane/Wellington/Alone and by the last episode we would find out what happened to them, but you know... that didnt happen.
I really hope Telltale doesnt do another Kenny/Jane flashback before they die though. It would be so pointless. "So sorry we killed these loved characters, here, have a bonus flashback with them as you already know they will be dead!"

Yeah I truly thought that we would get like one flashback per episode but that each would be based on the s2 ending. It wouldn't have affected the present day storyline but still would allow our s2 choices to truly matter.
I hope we get another flashback because it would give many fans some much needed time and closure with their favorite and most beloved characters. If done right I dont think it would be too cheesy; It would be like the Lee flashback in s2. We know he died already, but everyone loved seeing him one last time and heeding his advice. Same could be done here if Telltale does it right.

They have barely even told any story so far though, its just been action scene after action scene, in season 1 and 2, it actually felt like you were moving forward, you had a goal (in season 1 moreso than season 2), but in A New Frontier it has been action scene after action scene with very little downtime to actually get to know the characters, couple that with the fact that Javier already know his family, and the player dont, and its not the strongest story so far, the strongest stories are when the player feels part of it, which is why season 1 and 2 were so good to me.
In season 1, Lee was a convict, he had lost everything, but life gave him a new chance, but everyone he meets is strangers to him, even Clem, which means that the player builds relationship WITH Lee, and thus have the same relationship that Lee has with the characters. In season 2, we know Clem, we know what she has been through, so we have an idea how she would react to different situations, we know her background, and from that background, we can decide how social, how friendly, and how survivorminded Clem should be, based on what we think is right, and again, Clem didnt know the cabin group, so we build relations with Clem once again. That is also where my problem with reintroducing Kenny comes in, and why I think so many people support him in season 2, (dont get me wrong, I loved Kenny being in season 2), but players knew Kenny as a friend, because he was a great friend to Lee, so when they met Kenny again, they treated him like a long lost friend or saint, even though Clementine barely even knew Kenny, she barely even spent any time with Kenny, which is why, when the table choice came, I picked Luke, since I feel like Clem had more reason to sit with Luke than with Kenny.
In A New Frontier, we are introduced to Javier, someone who has a huge background, and has a family to protect, but we know neither him nor his family, so we dont know how to react, and we dont feel any connection to Kate or Gabe the way we did Kenny or Luke, which means that I have almost 0 investment in Javiers family so far, I could honestly care less if Kate dies in episode 3, since there has been barely any reason for me to care for her up to this point, since her only character traits are "Smokes weed", and "Wanna bang Javier". I really hope they put some more time for characterization in the next episodes, since characters is one of the biggest things for me in Telltale games, and I often find the characters to be the reason I stick around, rather than the overarcing story.
Dont get me wrong, I actually quite enjoy A New Frontier, seeing Clem from a new perspective is interesting (although I would have rather played her), but I just think that A New Frontier has some underlying issues that seperates it a great deal from its predecessors
that make up for the previous one?
That was actually another point that I forgot to mention - the fact that they so little story to … moretell that they're forced to split the first episode into two just shows how much they're scraping the bottom of the barrel just to get by.
I gotta say, the road to Episode 3 has certainly been filled with worries, conflict, drama, bad and apocalyptic news, arguing, war, despair, depression, death and insanity.

That is a common Steam bug, sometimes a server will go down and it will report the player number as 0.
Edit: you can see on https://steamstat.us/ where the servers dropped which caused the bug.
Make Homie Great Again
Telltale does not care about the Walking Dead or its fans
The wait is more cancerous than the game if you ask me
We all know that but gives it us hope that the episode IS good despite this horrendous development hell phase
But....but I want my drugs ;__;
Just like this game
Telltale "doesn't owe" us anything lol?

"Deal with it or move on" buddy.
Now, now... let's not start this all over again...

Theres a lot of things they could have done better, but I said the same about season 2 so lets just wait and see how episode 3 turns out huh.

How the hell is season 2 on 95% though? Seriously?
Because it wasn't much worse than S1.

all this drama and I'm still here just waiting to see clem's face again
I hope that doesn't happen but if it does you just know they'll try to justify their deaths.
"So uh Clem did I ever tell you I fuckin' hate seatbelts?"
.
Yeah, make them keep up the good work, lie to us about the choices matterring.
Because season 2 was a great game?, I personally liked season 2 more than season 1, but theyre both amazing

Is there any news on when EP 3 Will be available?
It will be avaliable at some point in March.
I'd guess the 20th or 27th since that is around the time telltale would release walking dead content.
I gotta say, the road to Episode 3 has certainly been filled with worries, conflict, drama, bad and apocalyptic news, arguing, war, despair, depression, death and insanity.
2 months down, one more to go lol
You just earned my deepest admiration with that GiF. Well done, my friend.
