I dont know how some people are surprised by Ava being bad. I had a horrible feeling about her just from her behavior and how AJ was pointing at her and crying.
The first screenshot is gonna be about Javi and his family at the hospital with his mother. Maybe it'll shows how David got separated and how Hector died. I'm not 100% sure.

"Ever since the junkyard, you've been nothing but a fly in my ointment."
Badger.
Oh no. Oh, no no no no no. What the fuck. Why. I had a glimpse of hope that Mariana's death hadn't just been a shallow plot device. I had hopes that Badger, the man who killed her, wasn't going to be a shallow generic evil bastard that randomly kills a little girl simply to advance the plot. Oh, how wrong I was. Apparently, he is just that. Someone who is just evil! (Because those people totally exist Telltale, and they make incredibly interesting characters! /s). I have no words.
Javier vs Badger:
First of all, technical aspects: the animations (both facial and corporal) are not looking good. I am not a player that's ever been very picky about these sort of stuff. I can handle bad graphics, stoic faces during banter, some clipping here and there and at times weird animations, but this is supposed to be a fighting scene. Badger's face feels frozen through and through. Javier has expression. At times. I hope this is only due to this clip being a part of an early build or something only meant to be shown to a selected few at PAX, but so far, the fight seems pretty immersion breaking on the technical aspect. That, however, is the least of my problems with this.
The dialogue. Jesus Christ! I hope we have options other than. "You killed that little girl Badger!" (no shit, Sherlock), "You brought this on yourself!" (how original), "I hate you!", "You did this, you did that". I want to know WHY. I want to understand. I want to see if Badger isn't just some petty plot device we are supposed to hate last second (I doubt the less attentive players (aka. a big, BIG, part of the players) have any idea who Badger even is, but ok).
Finally, how I feel about this whole thing. The truth is, we all knew Mariana for 5-10 minutes. That is, unfortunately, a fact. I don't know if some people somehow managed to feel a big attachment to her character, but I can say that I didn't. Sure, when she got shot, I was in shock and even slightly angry, but that quickly passed. This isn't a character I knew for a very long time (ahem Jane ahem Kenny ahem), so, 3 months after her death? No, I don't feel that mad at Badger.
And I think we all know what choice is coming. Beat him or not and finally either kill him or not. Was it up to me and according to how pissed I feel at him killing Mariana? I wouldn't touch him. I simply don't "care"! I am not invested in this particular plot point as much as I feel as I should be. But since I'm playing as Javier who knows this girl for 5 years, I feel the obligation to pass on some punishment. And I certainly will, but that's not good, I'm forcing myself to decide to hurt this guy just for the sake of not breaking the immersion of playing as Javier. This is one of the unfortunate yet predictable and inevitable sequels of the rushed character and conflict development on the first episode, but oh well.
I also am kind of disappointed David is nowhere to be seen, does it simply not care about punishing his daughter's killer? Is this due to circumstance and he simply couldn't be there? It remains to be seen I guess.
Clem and The New Frontier:
Now, this is what I'm interested in! Yet a bit scared.
For one, I just hope The New Frontier people don't follow suit with Badger's generic evil shittiness. I want them to be somewhat justified in what they are doing. AJ looks sick. Maybe they are trying to treat him and Clem doesn't want to. Maybe he is bitten. Maybe they just want the baby to be raised in a safe place. The only thing I don't want this to be is just "We are taking the baby from you just because we are bad guys and hate you for whatever reason!". Though, I am confident this is not the case. Both Ava and David show to not being completely comfortable doing whatever they are doing with AJ, Ava for one definitely looks remorseful or somewhat sad, she is giving me strong A House Divided Bonnie vibes. David doesn't seem completely ":)))) eheheheh" which is also good, at least he is not Badger! Now the only thing kinda giving me a bad feeling is the implied forced Clementine branding. I don't know what to make of that, but I guess we will see.
Whatever happened, though, David vs Clem encounter feels like it will be a good scene. Kind of a bummer I won't have it since I didn't kill Conrad, but that what replays are for a I guess.
I have, overall, mixed feelings about the clip. I certainly hope this episode is better than the terrible first one.
What's this--we agree almost one for one? Glad to see the consensus is actually a consensus rather than a pseudo-objective reflection of my own opinions.

Not that I'm disagreeing with any of what you put here, but there's plenty of evidence in the first two episodes outside of this Episode 3 clip that showed that Badger was never going to have this layer of complexity and is apparently set up to be some terrible, comically generic villain whose purpose is for us to initially misinterpret the activities of The New Frontier and to provide a staple character for us to hate in the series.
The fact that he alone took the shot to shoot Mariana without any prior contact or provocation.
The fact that he laughs as he opens fire on the group.
His generally uncivil language.
His deliberate distortion/disregard of the truth in regards to what happens at the junkyard.
He hides stuff from his comrades, such as the fact that he had a hostage to Max.
The fact that he used said hostage with no remorse and then proceeds to harm/kill them.
Javi: "She's innocent in this! You don't have to drag her into our fight!" Badger: "I don't have to... But I kinda want to." (Totally not the language of a complete dick right there.)
The fact that if you surrender, he refuses any plea for mercy.
The fact that he apparently has a blatant disregard for the rules of whatever group he works with: "We don't have the go ahead!"
The fact that he willingly destroyed an entire settlement for... What, exactly?
"Ever since the junkyard, you've been nothing but a fly in my ointment."

So why are we even getting to fight Badger? Is David not going to rip his daughter's killer limb from limb? I was going to let David have Kate but on second thought I'll just cuck my brother out of spite. Yep, this is where The Walking Dead is at now.
This was worded perfectly and I agree wholeheartedly. ". Was it up to me and according to how pissed I feel at him killing Mariana? I wouldn't touch him. I simply don't "care"! I am not invested in this particular plot point as much as I feel as I should be." Perfect.
Honestly that got me thinking. It would have been cool if Kenny/Jane split from Clem and later met Javier. Javier and Kenny/Jane become close friends, and then they got split up at the junkyard. So, now, you're playing as this guy trying to find his friends who turn out to be Clem's old friends as well. This would have made Javier feel... well, feel more relatable. Not just to the players but Clementine as well. Also not to mention their death from badger would hurt Javier, Clem, and the players just as much all the while making us loath TNF and badger.

Q: Does the feedback on the handling of the deaths of Kenny/Jane/Edith impact you guys in any way or do you look at it as an oh well and move on kind of moment because a lot of fans would be satisfied with more time with the characters even though they died?
A: We definitely hear a large volume feedback on this topic on these boards. Stepping back, it seems very concentrated to these forums within the Telltale community, and not necessarily as much negative feedback from the larger majority of players or critics that really seemed to have enjoyed what was coming out of the gate! That said, and I'll say this every time until the series hits its finale.... Keep playing. There's more story to come...

Honestly to me it sounds like he said we're in the minority about the Season 2 endings. I've learned to take what Job says with a grain of salt. But I hope there's more Kenny/Jane/Edith stuff, even though I don't think that's the case. Finally "keep playing.." was literally his answer to everything regarding criticism about the game. Believe me, I want to be proven wrong.

I feel like we really aren't the minority opinion though. All across youtube I saw the same criticism from both the gamers and the commentators. I dont think anybody truly felt like the flashbacks were well executed or honoring the s2 endings in a responsible light. Idk, Telltale said they're listening so I hope we get more s2 flashbacks either towards the finale or as a DLC.

I never said we were in the minority, Job just thinks we are. I hope TellTale is listening and taking our criticisms for the rest of season but that remains to be seen. Job's lied before about this stuff, remember the butterfly affect tweet he made for S2Ep3 with the 400 Days characters? And look how that turned out. But, this season is the lowest rated and selling on Steam compared to the other two, so maybe that got TellTale into actually listening. All we can do is wait and see.
If they do do DLC, it'll probably be post-ANF. Maybe like you play as Javier and Clem leading a community or some crap like that.

I have a feeling Clem is going to watch us kill Badger if she watched Kenny kill Carver. And then we'll have to decide if we want to brutalize someone for killing a little girl, in front of a little girl. Won't be a hard choice, Clem is a thug anyway.
Forgive me, then, for the confusion. But it seemed sarcastic (specially the “Give me every detail that confirms this” part) and with the way the forum has been going since this season began ... but, anyway, sorry. I got myself into an auto-defensive mode.
But, anyway, yeah, I kind of included a few reasons below. Based on the speech that TT gave at PAX it seems that a significant part of the delay was caused by them adapting the season’s story based on feedback from the community (that, as we can see around the forum, is mostly people complaining about the new characters because they are not Clem and saying that they want to play more as Clem).
Based on that, there is a great risk of TT ignoring their original storyline to create a new one where they will give more space to Clem (and give us more playtime as Clem) and less to other characters.
I fear that this will create a Frankenstein that won’t really satisfy anyone. People that were complaining before will probably keep on with it unless TT rewrite it from scratch and the ones that were enjoying this season or giving it a chance won’t be happy with the fact that all the characters and story-arcs there were introduced won’t receive proper attention.
I have a feeling Clem is going to watch us kill Badger if she watched Kenny kill Carver. And then we'll have to decide if we want to brutali… moreze someone for killing a little girl, in front of a little girl. Won't be a hard choice, Clem is a thug anyway.
Apparently not, Amid the Ruins biggest issue was the torture porn, and throwing away a good deal of the cast. Telltale is probably going to do the same exact thing again this season. Clem, Javi, and one person will probably make it to the end of the season, just like s1 and s2 had Clem and two other people. It's getting boring, telltale needs to do something new, and unpredictable.
It's funny that ever since this whole rating board release came out, everyone is so excited to see more misery and suffering of either long-… morerunning characters or a wishful plea of bodily harm to new ones.
Did no one learn anything from Season 2? Violence is not a substitute for quality narrative substance. I'll put money down now that it'll just be tastelessly crass torture porn.
(And no, I didn't see the trailer nor have any intent to cause apparently it did the one thing a trailer should never do... spoil massive narrative plot-points.)
So why are we even getting to fight Badger? Is David not going to rip his daughter's killer limb from limb? I was going to let David have Ka… morete but on second thought I'll just cuck my brother out of spite. Yep, this is where The Walking Dead is at now.

You speak as if it has been established that she is evil.
That was just an ice-breaker.
2nd - SLAUGHTERHOUSE!!!!!
If this does happen, Kenny might as well be renamed Felix at this point.
Because Felix means 'lucky'.
Because he once said 'I got lucky, real lucky'.

...I'll stop now.

Not sarcasm at all, but I can see what you mean based on your reply to someone else below. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out.

That guy reminds me of Gregory, wearing "normal" clothes. John too. Maybe a doctor, former lawyer, someone like that.
It's a Cuban Catholic Conspiracy Cult. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave!
And the comics. I assume DLB doesn't like Father Gabriel.
I don't know why, but I can't stop laughing. I seriously can't.

Two of those zombie heads, the 2nd and 5th one, look pretty fresh. Interesting.
Neat stuff.
It's always possible that Javier doesn't know or remember Badger's name so he can't tell David and when he seems him he just loses it.
If we can legit cuck David, I'll laugh my ass off
Didn't Job pretty much suggest that we could get another s2 flashback?
Javier: Hey! Badger!
Badger: What!?
Javier:
Annnnnd problem solved ^_^
When was this?

No because in the story generator it doesn't ask about that choice
just a few more weeks
2 weeks and 2 days.

Sounds like a narrative worth getting invested in...
Be cruel to cruel people, very interesting and deeply compelling motivations.

Why did we have to wait 2 more weeks, i'm pretty sure episode is already done, why did they make us suffer 2 more weeks of waiting
I think it's because it needs to be certified by both Microsoft and Sony which takes time (normally around two weeks).
This would be a great scene...
