  • WORST EPISODE EVER!!

  • I liked it a lot, it was definetly an improvement over the first "two episodes".

  • Is Clem's role improved at all? Or is she still very much background?

LMFAO EPISODE 3 HAS NO HUBS AND THE EPISODE JUST REVOLVES AROUND JAVIER, DAVID, TRIPP AND JESUS! ELEANOR HAS JUST 2 LINES, SHE WAS BASICALLY NICK IN EPISODE 3.

  • MICHONNE MINI-SERIES IS 100% BETTER THAN ANF!!!

  • This has been going on for days if Tell Tale had any integrity they wold release it so everyone could play it. Or at least close the conversations where people are talking about essentially pirated stuff until the game releases. Or just give everyone refunds. Even if its a really good game its starting to get really aggravating being a TT fan, or more accurately someone who uses the product when it works. It's tough to get fanatic about shoddy work even when you try.

  • Unfortunatley she's still in the background, she shows up halfway in the episode( If you shoot Conrad) , the story is still heavily focused on Javier and his family. But at least she has a very heartbreaking flashback.

  • I saw a clip in particular with Tripp and Javier in it, and it actually seems like these two are about to be the Daryl/Rick or Lee/Kenny of the group. The two best buds.

The clip I saw, Tripp was trying to act as Javier's moral compass and calm him down, and that alone, I liked.

Also, I did like the action in this episode, felt a lot better and looked better.

Another clip I saw, made Gabe/David pretty human, not much of a spoiler (Play-fighting).

And, from the clips I've seen, and the trailer... I don't know if he is "good" or "bad".

  • Calm down and post once. If you are trying to get your point across, don't post 3 times.

  • Dude, find a pit stop and have a lunch break or something jee

  • MiCHONNE MINI...

Oh, yes. Right. Telltale made something about her.

  • Two steps forward, one step back.

  • Thanks comic book guy.

    WORST EPISODE EVER!!

  • Definitely an improvement over the first two episodes, which is saying very little. I found much of it to be a bore, with it only picking up in the second half, in the event episode 4 and 5 actually turn things around enough that I buy the rest of the season I'm not looking forward to dragging myself through a lot of this episode. There was at least more than one stand out character this episode, though, it was nice that Clementine wasn't the only character I was interested in, a first for ANF so far.

You promised me credit songs, Telltale. This means WAR.

  • What i liked about this episode is that depending on your choice in episode 2 (kill Conrad or not), Clementine can have a big or a small role in this episode.

I'm glad Telltale made choices actually matter.

I give this episode 9/10. Too bad it is only 90 minutes long.

  • But that was total shit..

  • Glad to hear it seeing as I kept Clem and Conrad around in my play.

  • 90 Minutes long is a huge improvement, and the fact that the choice matters is honestly really cool! I can't wait until March 28th.

Oh wait... Dark Souls 3 Ringed City comes out that day... Uhm... Well, I'll have to make a choice.

Can I ask if you hated the premiere or not? (I didn't at all but this seems to be a deciding factor for most).

  • Refreshing to know we get more than 60 mins this time around. >.>

  • I'll just repost what I said in the waiting thread here:

I actually enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty good. I mean, it's not S1 quality but it sure as hell is better than Amid the Ruins or No Going Back. They definitely listened to feedback, I dunno if people are just being obtuse or memeing but they addressed a lot of the problems with character motivations/development/dialogue/ choices and more. It really felt like the writers were cleaning up the mess from the previous two episodes and I'd say they did a pretty good job at it. The intro was fantastic. Dialogue that you choose is brought up in later conversations which is a nice touch so I hope they keep doing that. Clem no longer swears like a trooper unless you want her to, which is another big plus in my book because I hate her swearing. Clem doesn't get much screentime unfortunately which is still pretty lame. The episode is not 2 hours. It's about 80/90 minutes. If I had to give it a rating i'd say a 8/10. I hope they keep the same writers/animators/director for ep4 and 5.

Yaknow if telltale actually wanted to execute the playable flashbacks like they stated I have a idea. Have Clementine be solely playable in flashbacks and have a 10-29 flashback a episode where the actions and choices of those flashbacks have varying and severe consequences of the present.

  • That's how I thought it would play out. Like a 50/50 split between Javier and Clem like in TFTB.

    • The conflict stretched out and is now interesting. We've stopped fighting over pudding and are now fighting over something much bigger and serious.
    • TNF's take on leadership and how it has survived makes it one of the most believable and interesting communities in TWD to date.
    • The main antagonist isn't the generic "bad guy" you expect in a TWD antagonist. The motivations are consistent and - to an extent - understandable.
    • The characters stopped being just black or white. There is a whole amount of tones of gray.
    • Pretty tailored episode. Alternative endings (two so far, still remains to be seen if there's a third).
    • Good characters being introduced. Namely David and [REDACTED]. Also, some rednecks on the first two episodes are not forgotten, one even determinedly playing a huge part on the ending.
    • Characters show promise (Ava, [REDACTED])... while others not so much ([REDACTED]).
    • Previously established characters get another layer of personality (Kate, Gabe... ish).
    • Now, having not played the episode and only seen some people commentating on this: Clem apparently has a lot of determinant lines this episode. Most likely influenced by previous seasons choices. It remains to be seen, though, but some choices from previous seasons definitely come into play this episode.
    • We get some pretty emotional moments with Clem, though do not be fooled: not as emotional as TellTale PR made it out to be. I doubt anyone will be bawling their eyes out with this. Still. Pretty sad.
    • There's still mystery and a certain tone of uncertainty over what happened in Clem's plot. Though this may just me being paranoid.
    • I don't count this as something bad, though other players certainly might: Clementine's playability continues to be brief.
    • Some hints at possible future conflicts or plot points. Questioning your trust on people.
    • To the less attentive fan, a lot can be missed.
    • There's this cheesy moment that questions your morality. I didn't feel it, though. Felt out of place.
    • Eleanor keeps on just existing. Tripp is more active this episode, shows emotion and becomes more believable (no more, "You're the boss!") though still generic as hell yet this time around he also manages to be cringy.
    • The dialogue at times was cringy. ^
    • The action sequences... aren't working with this whole "Javier is a baseball player" thing. They keep trying to make them seem like a baseball game, all while having Javier saying stupid cringy shit. This is certainly a downgrade from Michonne's action sequences.
    • A character is written out in a rather... what the fuck?? manner. Left my head scratching.
    • The gore was... laughable... to say the least. Yet another downgrade from Michonne.
    • No. Hubs.

Huge improvement from the first two despicable episodes. Would rate 8/10.

  • calm down Larry, your heart...

  • How come new project of theirs is more important than ongoing one, continuing TT's best successful series, which attracts the most amount of players and sells like ice cream in the hottest day of summer?

They probably meant for Guardians of the Galaxy since they seem to have way more focus on that.
