Do you guys think there will be a season 4? And who would you want to be the main character

Personally I'm hoping there is a season 4. And the playable character is clementine. Just wanted to know what you guys think.

  • Clementine doesn't necessarily need to be playable, but definitely a main/major character around the playable character.

  • I don't think I want a Season 4, everything has just been getting worse.

  • C'mon, let's hope TTG learns and S4 nears a S1/S2. :)

  • Javi should deffinitely be the playable character in S4 with his gf Kate and Clem and Gabe...

  • They had 3 YEARS to improve the mistakes they had in Season 2, there has been so many rewrittings, they hired a lot of writers, they told us a lot of nonsensical bullshit like Episode 1 was split in two because it was TOO BIG, A New Frontier was going to be the biggest season they have done so far, there are 42 versions of Clementine in that season, Clementine was going to be co-playable character, Season 2 endings will have a big impact and the motherfucking Slaughterhouse. Because of ANF, a lot of Telltale employees have left the company.

Look at Season 1, they didn't have so many employees and there were only 3 writers to make this game a masterpiece. It had 2 hours length each episode, a lot of exploring areas, hubs, character development, choice mattering etc. Seriously, why should I still trust them after this big disappointment?

    C'mon, let's hope TTG learns and S4 nears a S1/S2.

  • Clementine, nothing else to say

  • I know right, they had so long and every episode is so short

  • And S1 was the only game they were working on. What happened between S2 and ANF? They did the mistake to work on several games at a time. And I think they should stop doing that. It's obvious it's not working out.

I am not denying they lied, or let's say bent the truth a lot, but there're several factors that contributed to their failure.

They just want too much in too short of a time.

They were too fast after S1's success, growing too fast, therefore having growing bills and salaries, therefore having the need to make more games. And their employees doing crunch times all the time.

If they take it down a notch or three, and try to go back to 1-2 games at a time, I think they could pull it off again, even with new writers. Because as it is now, these new writers never work on a game from start to end, but get pulled off mid-development and someone else has to take over.

  • It's officially called Season Three, sorry. :(

That's right, they release way too many games when there are more and bigger games releasing these years.

these new writers never work on a game from start to end

Then they should have hired one who is proffessional at writing. For example, Neil Druckmann wrote The Last of Us without anyone's help.

  • No, it's officially called ANF, if it was a true Season 3, then they would have called it that and it would have been a continuation rather than, what is practically, a restart to bring in new players.

Yeah, I think 1-2 writers for a project suffice. And they should stay at said project from start to finish.

  • On the mobile store page it says The Walking Dead: Season Three and the Documents folder is called The Walking Dead A New Frontier (Season 3). It's not like they don't call it Season 3.
    Doesn't mean I don't agree with you, just re-telling.

  • Clementine. I've got the deficiency.

  • Javier. As much as I love Clem, i think that she'll be better off as non-playable primary character. Just like in S1.

  • I would prefer Clementine be the protagonist by a long shot, especially if they are gonna continue the Gabe Clem thing, sinceI think it would give another view on Gabe, Clem is also the most interesting protagonist out of the 3 imo.

If it absolutely cant be Clementine, It would be cool with an adult female lead similar to Molly or Christa, or some badass old dude

  • Javier!

  • I only want Clem playable as an adult. Not the teenager.

All these users talking about having Season 4.

We still don't have Season 3.

I highly doubt telltale could make another "season" seeing how they struggled to make ANF after 2-3 years and STILL had no idea what to do with the series in the middle of it being released. If they decide to make a new installment they need to keep Javier/Clementine due to the fact telltale is not the best at making new protagonist mid series.

    50/50 Between Javier and clementine.
The way to please every twd fan and me especially.

  • Clem, I don't think it would be a repeat of season 2, because she's old enough that it would make sense for her to star in a season of her own.

  • All I know is that if The Walking Dead: Season Four is created for our viewing pleasure, I want Clementine to be the playable character and subsequently the main protagonist. Because the writers for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier have effectively distorted my Clementine's views, and essentially reimagined her for a newer audience. So much for #MyClementine, amirite?

  • Not Clementine.

  • Tbh, I think I'd be more happy with a DLC or two, like 400 days, or maybe another mini-series.

  • If there's a S4, then the only logical choice is Clementine.

  • Javi
    You can kill me now

  • Ideally I'd want Javi and Clem to be Co-Protagonists but if not then at least have Javi carry on as the protagonist with Clem as a major character.

  • The Walking Dead for Telltale is the Mario of Nintendo, the Final Fantasy of Square, the Street Fighter of Capcom, the MK of NetherRealm. It's not their first game, but it was the one that made them famous. Telltale was a nobody before the Walking Dead. It was this game that brought them to fame. So yes, I do think there will be a season 4.

    • Yes
    • Javier, definitely not Clementine
  • Either a new character or a rerailed Clementine

  • Of course i want another season just because they had a bad season does not mean they cannot learn from their mistakes.
Also i would want to play as Either David , Clementine or just continue as javi .

  • Shel, King Kenny revival, a new younger character or Clementine with her personality and style more similar to season 2. Season 3 Clementine is lame.

  • I think if they make a Season 4, they should stick with Javi as the main. Starting fresh with someone new is just going to keep creating the same problem (lack of getting emotionally attached to characters).

  • Don't forget Clem that needs to tag along.

  • But Kevin Bruner isnt in charge anymore

  • It is very possible that there will be a season 4. If there is, I would want to play as Javier again. He is a great character and a much better protagonist than Clem IMO.

  • If they do a season 4, get new writers, or stop choking them with deadlines and rewrites if thats where it went wrong..
