Should I not have killed Conrad? ANF spoilers
So I absolutely fucking killed Conrad when he threatened Clementine because who the fuck do you think you are.
Anyone that did the same; do you feel like you made a mistake now that you see the fact that he can be still alive at this point? Is it worth replaying it and saving him before playing episode 5?
I've gotten so used to all of my decisions not having any impact this season, that episode 4 fucked me up pretty badly. Suddenly my decisions did have consequences?? who knew??

No. I killed Conrad because (as Javier) he pointed a gun at my nephew while threatening another child's life after I just lost my niece. I don't regret it. I just appreciate that we have a character that can actually last longer, that's some progress in the right direction that may have been overlooked. Someone at TellTale is trying lol. I just wish Conrad didn't come off as such a scumbag then I would have had trouble making a choice.
Considering how poorly the scenario with him dead was handled, it's seems like no one should have killed him despite the majority doing so, since it's a major decision that ends up being ignored for the entirety of an episode and some of another before the gravity of what happened is addressed in a very poorly handled way. Conversely, a lot of effort seems to be put into his character should you keep him alive. Personally, the poor handling of it hasn't influenced me enough to go back and redo the decision, I don't generally go back to change my choices during the initial blind play through. But it does seem like you get more bang for your buck if you spared him.
He put a gun to my nephew, I'd gladly shoot that UNMENTIONABLE in the face all over again.
On my second playthrough. You can keep him around long enough, but he doesn't really add to the story an you get betrayed anyways.
I still think it was the right thing to do
Why? I shouldn't have done this for Gabe in the first place cause he is an asshole.
Anyone who shot Conrad is a Gabe lover.
I completely regret doing that. I shot him cause he was pointing a gun at a boy for no reason.
Because conrad is still an unstable freak who wants to sell clementine and kill gabe. Just because gabe sucks doesnt mean I like conrad
Have you seen his moments in episode 4?
Nope, he trying sell a kid. this is enough for make a terrible death for him.
If Tripp have problem with it, well, get in line, i fucking kill you too.
Sorry AronDracula but you wanted to save Gabe's life, so therefore you are an official Gabentine shipper.
Was it you who posted these videos?
Hell, I don't even know how to make videos. Gabe's death is my biggest hope for the finale.
You saved his life once before so I'm sure you'll do it again!

I will delete my official save file and move on with my other save file.
The gun was pointed at Gabe, not Clementine. You must have strong feelings for Gabe too if you went as far as shooting a man who was clearly just bluffing!
NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT, the first save file is sacred yo.
It all depends on whether you like Conrad's character or not, and whether the idea of the first determinant character in the series cheating death more than once appeals to you or not.
There's no right or wrong choices with deciding on keeping or killing Conrad, it's entirely up to you.
You don't have to point the gun at someone to threaten her. He was trying to sold a girl to some madmen who have just destroyed a whole community without remorse.
lol
YES Gabe DIED!!!
No he want's to help Kate by taking a member of TNF hostage in return for help try seeing things from Conrad's perspective before judging him
Conrad was a reckless scumbag , he deserved beign shot, he pointed a gun at Gabe and wanted to use Clem as a bargaining chip .Also if you let the timer run out he will kill Gabe and Javi. I don't care if he redeems himself later, he souldn't have done that shit in the tunnel.
That makes sense, considering how concerned Conrad has been shown to be about anything other than taking revenge on NF for what happened to Francine, the fact that its already been made clear Clem is an ex-member of the group and he literally hears her badmouthing them after telling Javito she left the group and watching her fight them at Prescott, and the fact that neither shooting him nor agreeing with him results in Gabe and Javier being shot to death by him.
What a swell fellow, that guy.
so before anything else i have to say: No you should not have killed Conrad because you pretty much just lose up on a couple of scenes and then you have everyone hating you so there s pretty much no point into it unless you want less scenes in the episode and less character development.
Essentially the only people still advocating for shooting Conrad either havent seen the scenes that Conrad has if he s saved or just dont want to break their immersion since they shot Conrad in their first playthought so they re only changing it after the season ends .
I stayed silent at first and Conrad killed Gabe and Javi, so i did what I thought was right and killed him. I felt shafted when episode 3 came out and gave him extra scenes and another determinant death, but now episode 4 made shooting him matter. The scene where Tripp finds out is really intense and it basically fractures the group and makes them hate Javi. I think this makes a really good story plus I always recommend that people stick to their original choice.
The regret you feel from your decision is part of the experience and you shouldn't cheapen that by changing it.
No he doesn't know and its impossible to tell him and what you said makes no sense obviously a NF insider would bad mouth NF that's how you stay hidden lol and Clementine does the same thing in ep 3 almost shoots Javi so when are you going to complain about that?
and Mike murdered Clementine by letting go of the rope .
Game over scenes do not count as cannon.
I killed Conrad too. Once he got reckless in the tunnel with the gun and then took Gabe hostage to force us into his deal, I thought he was too dangerous to be in the group. Now, if I had written the story, I would have had Javi be completely honest with Tripp upfront about killing Conrad.
That was a warning shot out of anger and frustration. Doesn't mean I appreciated her doing that. I still opened the door for David.
But Conrad? He didn't give a flying fuck about Kate in that moment. That was just an incentive to convince Javier. But, in my opinion, taking a child hostage to take another one hostage and holding a gun to his head, which could result in immediate death for said child, is unforgivable.
Conrad's or Gabe's? Because honestly, I think Firewallcano's reasoning has proper logic to it. Just because you don't like one character doesn't automatically make the other one's wrongdoings less wrong.
I shot conrad he is dead in my gameplay and he will stay dead.
But its suck to feel that my decision at that moment does not have any impact from clem.
When almost becomes she literally executes a kid and then Javier. That's when I'll complain about it. You're literally grasping at straws with your tinfoil "that's what a spy who I've heard shot multiple members of their group to death earlier and then personally witnessed her killing members of their group would say!" conspiracy theory.
You sound about as rational as "WAHHH FRANCINE COME HERE GABE" sounds, and I don't think you have the capacity to realize it. But good luck with that.
Still no bluff.
True, but I think it's an indication of what the character might do in that situation:
I agree that some of those instances are too much(particularly Conrad's), but it's still a thing.
No, I don't feel like it was a mistake to kill Conrad. Much as the others have said, he has a gun on my nephew, and his plan is to give a little girl to a group of people she fled from that have murdered my niece, and slaughtered a community. Without being capable of knowing everyone will be fine, and Conrad's an awesome character that's a real friend afterwards - it seems like a death sentence for someone in this scenario -- Clem, Gabe, or Conrad. I defended the teens.
With Gabe's personality, I thought if I went with the plan, Gabe would do something rash - as in as soon as he was released he would fight Conrad for the gun, and die in that train in defense of Clementine as he felt strongly that Javier needed to take the shot, and that they shouldn't sell out Clementine. It was possible since Clementine's tale sounded more like she had escaped from a horrible place full of monsters that if we traded her, they'd kill her as a traitor or they'd seriously hurt her. I mean, they burned a little girl's arm. I had no backstory to know they had reasonable people that banished her, and weren't actively hunting her down after she escaped their insane asylum.
Now that all of that is in the open, of course there will be people who gladly go back and have Conrad live because he's a good character with great moments after this one. I don't plan on playing Season 3 again, but I don't fault those who do.
yeah some do make sense but you have to also agree that some also make no sense at all like Conrad just standing there watching Javier get eaten by a walker in episode 3 making a surprised face with a gun in his hand.
Same. No regrets.
Exactly.
What now...?
This choice in general is the stupidest choice in ANF by faaaar.
As the comment above me has specified: "(Also, no one who threatens Clementine gets to live.)", putting a new character up against Clementine, regardless of who's in the right or wrong is stupid.
I mean, it's Clementine. There are thousands of people who would do anything for her (at least in the game), as Javier, even if it means letting your family (in-game) die. I'm not condemning this, I'm just providing perspective.
So, even though I was one of the few people who did not kill Conrad, I'd have to say that you're not in the wrong for killing him. The choice was set up so you would pick Clementine.
EDIT: Putting Clementine aside for a moment, the situation is just screwed up in general. Conrad should not have pointed the gun at Gabe and Clementine shouldn't have been as cryptic when talking about NF.
