Episode 5 Ending (SPOILERS)
That ending was awful. It did feel nice that's Clem goes on her own for a while, but Telltale is just doing that so we can buy future DLC or wait until the next season. Huge slap to the face.
And I guess there's 3 outcomes/endings from what I've seen:
1. Kate Lives but David and Gabe dies.
2. Gabe lives but David and Kate dies.
3. Kate and Gabe lives but David dies.
I think 1. Was the better ending since it had so much emotion plus it's very hard to watch Gabe cry and beg for Javi to end it.

I just need someone to tell me how save Gabe and Kate. Fuck David.
I'm trying to find that out. MKFireandIce saved Richmond but Clem went to save Gabe & David (who dies anyway). I don't know if it depends on your relationship with Clem or Gabe.
I think if you reject Kate, that might be the ending you get.
I have to say that this season has impressed me with their multiple endings.
I don't know about you but according to the official trailer, I think Kate's meant to be dead.
I agree with you here
I got the ending where David and Gabe live but unfortunately Kate die when i got back to Richmond.
The ending was a true lack-luster, but the episode was solid otherwise.
Fckn ridiculous episode ! It really summed the whole thing up , unrealistic action , the characters were all over the place with the WRITING , why would anyone choose to defend Richmond ? It was overran ? Surely mccarol ranch would make a appearance and past characters ?!!! Terrible terrible shit
Maybe because "we" are responsible for what happened there? In my book, it's selfish to leave all these innocent people to die just to save your own ass.
I think the only reason why people chose to save Gabe & David is because they like either of those characters. In a way, it's a side with Kate or David choice.
I chose to go after Gabe & David because Clem said she was going with kate so i thought i might is well go after Gabe & David since Clem said she was going with Kate and then when i chose my choice Clem decide to come with me and leave Kate to save Richmond by herself so i was a bit mad Clem did it because i really like Kate and i'm so piss she die but i would rather lose my girlfriend then my brother and my nephew who's like a son.
i thought that clem wanted you to come w her to save david and gabe regardless?
Clem can either:
-Choose to go after Gabe
-Choose to go with Javi
-Choose to go with Kate
I don't know what influences her decision. Do you guys have any ideas?
For me Clem said she was going to follow me no matter what I chose, I didn't know splitting up was an option.
If you go to save Gabe, she will die no matter what ?
I believe so.
It comes down to whether or not she trusts you. If you didn't side with her throughout the game, she'll split up with you.
Half of those "innocent people" robbed and killed other settlements. Besides, Javi and Kate barely know anyone there so what's the point in even trying to liberate it?
Just bad writing across the board.
So for Kate and Gabe to both survive you need to have Clem go get Gabe while you go with Kate? Where does this leave David, I'm assuming there's no way for all three to survive the episode right?
For both Kate and Gabe to live you need to go against everything Clem says for her to trust you then go Save Richmond while she saves Gabe.
I think David dies no matter what decision you make. I may be wrong though.
david is determinant. if you save david and gabe, he can either walk away or stay in richmond. so he's dead, alive, or unknown.
I was 100% pro-David and he survived and stayed at Richmond in my main playthrough.
Half? Don't make fun of yourself.
Only Joan and Badger's crew knew about the raidings, that's not even 1/4 of New Frontier. Most of the people are/were just clueless, innocent people trying to survive. Also, you don't need to know - or be friends with - people, in order to help them. Ever thought about that? Jesus came to the rescue even though he knew his people were killed by the corrupt part of New Frontier. That's what the world needs, good people who look out for others.
Where would the Garcias go anyway? Their van is gone, the family is torn apart. Why not stay and unite with the survivors in a pretty safe settlement, especially with the contact to Jesus, who opens the door to other big communities?
This is fiction, not real life.
I don't have much or any connection to the people of Richmond to try and liberate the place and no cheap sob story about losing a child from a mercenary is going to make me turn a blind eye to giving a shit and realizing that Telltale took the lazy way out for drama.
Also, don't kid yourself if you think your condescending attitude is still working.
When I saw David death I almost cried. But then I saw Gabe death and I stopped crying.
What the hell is wong with me?
Edit your comment all you want.
TWD being fiction does not mean you can completely ignore choices that a good person would make. If you want to go the asshole-route, fine, go for it. But don't blame Telltale for it. Like I said, the vast majority of New Frontier consists of clueless, innocent people. And fiction or not, a good person helps them. That's all I've said.
If you want to act all tough with how you claim to not give a fuq about strangers and calling me "kiddo", just roll with it. But it does not have the effect you try to achieve. You could rather show me proof of your "facts" of how half of Richmond raided and killed settlements. I'll wait.
I saw the death scene. Seems like it is.
Kate can survive through episode 5? That makes me happy. I'm glad that the people saying there's absolutely no chance she'd survive were wrong.
I can admit that was hyperbole for me to say but even so, I don't see much point in liberating the place compared to just getting people out to safety, that's my issue with it.
Thank you.
So, I sided with clem through the entire season, still she went with kate, any specific choice made that happen?
Did you go save Gabe and David? If not then that's what supposed to happen.
She'll split with you if you didn't side with her throughout the season.
They should've played I walk alone from green day when Clem was walking and taking out those walkers
Just remembered that i "let David in", didn't thought that would matter so much for clem.
Thanks for the answer anyway. :P
Sooooooo. How do I get to keep Kate and Gabe alive in the ending?
guys, holy shit holy shit holy shit. there is an ending posted on mkiceandfire's channel (alternate playthrough) where gabe lives and has to shoot david on screen and kate is missing
I believe you be a dick to Clementine enough that she either wants to save Gabe/Richmond no matter what or be a contrarian by picking the opposite of what you do.
The way that you get these endings are so confusing to me that, even though I've seen the episode, I don't know what ending I'll get when I play because it's that confusing...
As for the possible statuses of the family (in general, not in one outcome):
Kate can be Alive, Dead, or Unknown.
David can be Alive, Dead, or Unknown.
Gabe can be Alive or Dead.
You ran out of tears.
You mean I have to treat her like shit during every episode or...
