In all fairness, I have defended Telltale a lot from people who do throw out a lot of unnecessary hate towards them. But as time has gone on, their methods have become damn near impossible to defend, which comes from a result of their shady business tactics and drop in quality. I will defend them when they are worth defending, and criticize them when they need to be criticized, I think that's more than fair.
I really don't see what the big outrage is over this. I guess it looks a bit like a mop on her head when she's got her hat off, but with it on? I still think it suits her.
Besides, let's be real. There are soooooo many other, more substantial things to complain about with this episode. Clem's goofy hairstyle shouldn't be one of them.
I don't find it ugly at all. She actually looks alot nicer than her last outfit and hairstyle. That season 2 Clementine look was getting a little bit old for me.

You want them to downgrade? They've improved clem greatly. I almost can't remember the old clem designs. This new clem look is really good. Plus keeping her hair short is a pretty good idea and a nice Easter egg to Lee saying keep that hair short. I have no issues with it in fact I support telltales decision of the design
FUCK. YOU. TELLTALE. Just have it so she grows it out and goes back to classic clem...or litterally ANYOTHER look besides this. Also bring back seasons 2 graphics but upgrade it enough of this plastic doll look with straw hair
Clems model is definitely the best one when it comes to the new engine, but the style just doesn't compare to seasons 2/Michoone. It gave off the perfect comic book look and was pretty much the signature look of the series.

SHe definitely looks great to me.
People need to chill. Serisouly, it's just an outfit and a haircut. And not weird ones. Not a big deal if you don't like it.
Hopefully a full season, nothing against people who doesnt want to follow Clementine anymore, but there are alot of us who still wants to, and frankly I dont feel like a DLC will be enough to time to get immersed in any story, heck, I was only just starting to get into A New Frontier and the characters during the 5th episode, and then it was over
She looks different, no doubt, but I really like it. Her new appearance has also left me excited for the future content. I strongly believe we'll get a Clementine DLC
While I liked the throwback to season 1 with her long hair while getting cut, I prefer her with shorter hair, although the hair before it got that weird side cut was way better
Im still divided on her new look though, in some ways I like it, and in some ways it seems like they tried too hard to make her look different
I think its fine, not sure Im completely on board, and I liked it better mid haircut, when it was short, but not had the weird side cut (although the side cut looks alot better when she gets her hat on again), I quite like her new design, but I dunno, guess time will tell how I feel
I like it. It's pretty good considering it happened because Javi's a terrible barber.
Javi: "Mariana thought I was terrible at it.."
… moreClem: "Were you?"
Javi: "None of your business."
But yeah I like it, it's definitely a lot different and quiet a few people will hate it but thankfully not everybody hates it.
yeah it was a nice signature look the old ones i liked it but I'm not mad that they decided to make the game look like it was made in 2017 and not 2012 anymore
Clems model is definitely the best one when it comes to the new engine, but the style just doesn't compare to seasons 2/Michoone. It gave off the perfect comic book look and was pretty much the signature look of the series.
Wasn't really a fan. It's a look, I guess? I suppose it's good to branch out and try new styles so... shrugs
On another note... Man that hairdressing scene was adorable. It was a really nice touch to the ending.
That little fucking ending made me cringe like shit. How desperate they were to transition her from aww-clem to emo-hipster-feminist-clem by showing that scene of her fighting that group of walkers to make her look like some indomitable fucking lout with the words fading up "Clementine's story will continue..." is just...... fucking no.
Irrespective of the aesthetic, the visual quality of the character model and the hair mesh is atrocious.
There is no artistic cohesion either, the artstyle of this game is a straight downgrade from the previous seasons. The comic book style is botched completely.
Even with Kenny's "fixed" model, he still looks atrocious, he doesn't feel like a cohesive character visually anymore, just an amalgamation of random meshes glued together and given a black outline.
I love that the moment an extremely uneventful extremely stupid, plot-hole ridden mess of a game makes a minor change to a once beloved video game character from back in 2012 changes anything about her previously already-ridiculous look, people go crazy claiming "SJW's" are to blame.
SJW's are the new illuminati, just use them as a placeholder strawman for things you don't like.

If they're going to be so half arsed with the hair modelling then they may as well give us options to choose from.
I bloody hate the new style. I don't understand why it has become the go to hairstyle for "badass" female characters these days, there's nothing cool about it.
I hope we get an option to change her clothes and style, I understand that she can't wear pigtails for ever, but damn I wish I could control how she looked. Her look just doesn't look right to me.
I'm sorry, but I'll keep the red jacket only if she changes her hair to something different.
Honestly, I was hoping for something different like this:
Or this:
Or even this:
Honestly, maybe it's because I just don't like a whole lot of short hair styles on girls anyway. It's all preference and opinion, so no one's ultimately right, but I do hope that Telltale will give me the option to choose her style in the next season. I understand that she is growing out of those pigtails now, (Btw, RIP Lilly's hair ties), but of course you can still pull off pigtails in a different way than she has now.
Btw, I didn't make these images, and I cannot find where they come from on the these forums, (since I saw them quite a while ago before S3), so just so you know they're not mine.
What's really funny is that out of this whole season, Telltale has had so many problems with atmosphere, story, and characters, and now they've even fucked up her look for some, (or many) people. XD

these guys wont stop whining about how it looks like a lesbian hairstyle only because short hair must equal lesbian or something but I didnt think it looked like that it looks more like a nice modern hairstyle. she outgrew pigtails. she still looked like a kid with them. and she cant exactly grow her hair long now because its a risk that a zombie could grab the back and drag her down.
The hat really makes the look. She looks very cute.
I gotta admit, I got spoiled for her new hairstyle and I screamed when I saw it. She's kind of grown a bit too old for pigtails, I would think.

Just icing on the cake.
I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about her new haircut. To me, it looks like Javi gave her a punk-rock type of look. I do like the jacket though.
Comments
Emo Peter Parker is looking at this and wondering what's wrong with her.

Haha
My daughter looking amazing as usual what else is new? Also everyone mad that her hair is too short but you gotta keep that hair short ya know?
Her hair position is what makes her ugly.
The clothing is alright but that haircut...
I don't find it ugly at all. She actually looks alot nicer than her last outfit and hairstyle. That season 2 Clementine look was getting a little bit old for me.

Yeah because of that ugly jacket give by Bonnie.

i mean, well... yeah... it's a pretty great look.
poogers i nearly forgot how much i love your telltale game screenshot shitposts.
Because growing up=edgy haircut and random red jacket.

Yeah. Agreed

I really like her new style, that sidecut looks really refreshing. My lil Clem

oh man that hairdressing scene was fkn adorable xD first thing it reminded me of was lee telling her to keep her hair short.

Yeah It looks awesome. But I hope clem will be atleast 2 years older for next season .
Yeah, that ending was pretty careless.

I wouldn't mind a full season, but the ending screen seemed to hint at a DLC that's going to come out in the upcoming months.
Yeah that's cause of her face and voice not the fucking hair
Yeah they should've just stopped it there before the side cut

Notice the scar from the dog bite, something Telltale seemingly forgot about.
The fact you never tell Kenny about the dog in Season 2 is also strange.
