Telltale should do the same as them. Capcom almost made RE7 be like RE6 which would have pissed me off so hard but they finally listened to the fans who wanted the survival horror back thanks to Koshi Nakanishi who is the director of RE7 and a fan of the original Resident Evil.
I've heard nothing but good reviews about it and even liked the demo for 7. But I did pay full price for 6 and they won't get my money for 7 because I couldn't get a refund. But I am waiting hard for the RE2make. AS for capcom they put out like thirty plus RE titles and only a few are shitty. Twenty five percent of TTG TWD games are shitty but only cause I was indifferent to Michonne.

I agree. Stop buying their games if you want them to listen. I didn't buy Guardians (hell, I'm not even interested anymore - I didn't even watch Episode 2). I won't buy Minecraft. I won't preorder S4 or whatever the next TWD will be.
We voiced our concerns about Season Two, and they answered that by ignoring literally all of our criticisms and suggestions and making a wor… morese game. It's pretty clear that at least upper management does not give a single shit about quality, and want to pump out rushed, short episodes once a month and abuse their own staff. Almost every Glassdoor review says that they feel all the creative teams are very passionate and hardworking, but that the higher ups have them in constant crunch and they don't even care what they're doing. It's extremely telling that this isn't a creative problem, it's a business problem. The only way we can solve this is by voting with our wallets, cause it's the only language the corporate types speak. I personally have not picked up GOTG, won't pick up Minecraft and will not be pre-ordering the continued Clem story, as I have for every TWD game since Season One. I've realised I'm part of the problem. If you guys have a problem with this, you need to stop supporting them.
When a compagny start to only try to make stuff for the money it is when they do crap and everyone stop to buy, the commercial leaders in charge of game projects should just be banned during the game creation and only come to sell the final produce!
When producer interact with project : you start with a great first season of Dexter, to finish with crappy season that no one even care to watch
don't preorder the game, just wait and see if the quality is good enough. i hope that their sales show telltale that they really have to imp… morerove, guardians hasn't been doing well whatsoever and a new frontier had the worst sales of all of the main series walking dead games they've produced. i hope that the quality will be up to par with previous seasons, but i won't necessarily expect it.
I never said you had to be nice to them as the only alternative. You can say you dislike a game without making it personal towards the people who make it.
No i ain't giving them another chance because its the same all the time with every new Season to a new game, "Oh this Season will be for Newcomers the most, So Fuck the Old Fans who made us Rich" Plus they're games are just plain out Garbage now of days with the bad writing and that. Makes me worry a lot for Game Of Thrones Season 2 which is the last game i'm interested in but i know that will be for Newcomers. And i know the Fate of Asher, Rodrick, and Mira, They will die in the first Five minutes when they appear in the episode. Plus they Fucked up Clem's character in TWD for me and i have no interest in playing her story for her now.
I never said you had to be nice to them as the only alternative. You can say you dislike a game without making it personal towards the people who make it.
Hell no, I'm done buying more Telltale games. I don't even know why I'm still on the forums, so many have abandoned or been banned and it's just not the same anymore.
I never said you had to be nice to them as the only alternative. You can say you dislike a game without making it personal towards the people who make it.
Nope. We've given them a fresh chance since A New Frontier was announced and considering we've been waiting 3 years of a game to turn out li… moreke shite, I don't think they deserve another chance.
I mean, come on, Telltale barely put any effort into it and it was pretty obvious.
Sure, Guardians of the Galaxy is good from what I've seen, but considering The Walking Dead is Telltale's most famous franchise, they milked the fuck out of A New Frontier and made it seem like it has been released for the sole purpose of them earning money.
I do, I actually enjoyed ANF more than Season 2.
I mean, it seems like everyone is personally attacking the employees now, and I'm sure I'll get a ton of hate for not joining the bandwagon.
I feel cheated from pre-ordering ANF, It's my fault that I trusted them that much, but hey, at least I have every installment of their walking dead series.
I agree. Stop buying their games if you want them to listen. I didn't buy Guardians (hell, I'm not even interested anymore - I didn't even w… moreatch Episode 2). I won't buy Minecraft. I won't preorder S4 or whatever the next TWD will be.

For me, a lot of it was Javier. I think Javier was interesting and I 100% prefer playing as an able bodied character over an 11 Year Old. Season 2's 3rd and 4th Episode were my two least favorite next to ANF's 1st/2nd Episode. However, I do have to admit, Season 2's Episode 2 and 5 were great.
ANF did better with choices and reoccuring dialogue to me at least, and I personally felt like Season 2 wasted most of it's characters, and of course the game ended with nothing again just like Season 1.
ANF did good for me because it didn't end the way that Season 1/2 did, it left hope and allowed many people to live on in some way/form... While Season 2 killed basically all.
You are missing the point; it's entirely possible to say "I think the writing is terrible" without blaming the writers or making personal attacks towards them.
Criticize the game to your heart's content, but don't insult the writers with personal attacks in doing so.

I'm a wine maker. If a bottle of my product doesn't meet your expectations it's my fault. People should take responsiblility for what they've done. IF they had nothing to do with it then take their names off the credits.

I will keep giving them chances because in reality I really don't hate their games. I enjoy most of them. I wish they would listen, but I also can't help but like the story more than the other issues in their games.
They betrayed our trust with Season 2, by cutting back on everything that made the first season so amazing. We gave them a second chance to redeem themselves with A New Frontier. They betrayed us even more with lies and disappointment.
So, no, I don't think Telltale deserves more chances. They've lost their way.
Personally, I only continue to follow TWD series to study Clementine's progression. And even that has gone stale to a certain extent. I don't think that it is even possible for them to bounce back, seeing that the only route they can possibly take is a continuation of Clementine, but dragging her story out can only carry them so far. They have already tried implementing an entirely new cast w/ Clementine, twice, (with the exception of Kenny in S2 and AJ in ANF), and I don't see how a new cast w/out Clementine would be any better. Unless telltale has some stellar trick up their sleeve, (because we all know that they will continue to ignore our complaints), this tragic downward spiral will continue to grow steeper and steeper.
At this point, no. I was ready to give up on them awhile back but then Tales came out and hey, I'm having fun again. I'm laughing. Maybe they haven't completely forgotten how to do a game well.
Then I played ANF and was brutally reminded of the mediocre abilities of Telltale. While I'm happy as hell that we're no longer seeing the stuttering issues or the long loading times, just resolving their technical issues doesn't mend the whole machine. Ever since TWD S2, I've noticed more and more the flaws in their games; weak characters, poor plots, and just no real change to their games.
I really want Telltale to hit their lowest in sales, not to see them die off, but for them to revitalize themselves and come back better. But I know that won't happen until we see the mass population all but forget that Telltale even exists.
Frankly, we all deserve better in our games from them (any Dev really) and I think it's about time that Telltale either adapt for the better or move out of the way for better episodic games.
Looking at GotG I think they actually recieved the memo after ANF was such a fail. GotG does everything right impo. They started listening to us and made a great job so far. For ANF it was to late to change everything, they already started working on episode 3 before the shitstorm got to them. Also it looks like we get to play as Clem again (my main complain of season 3 and why I can't come to like it).
So I'll just have to wait and see. Waiting for GoT 2, TotB 2, WAU 2 and TWD 4 and really hoping they get GotG to be the game to turn around their new gained bad reutation.
I'm not giving them any more chances, I thought S2 was a big let down after how great S1 was. So I thought I will not buy ANF but I will watch it on YouTube just to see if they spent 2 years improving on their mistakes, well no they didn't they just made the series even worse and I have absolutely no interest in what S4 could be like and what happens with Clementine because I have totally lost all faith in this company.
It's just all cheap and lazy now, they know this as well because their is no buzz coming from them about this game anymore.
I just wish they would stop hiding from us and come out and tell us why things are not the same as they used to be, because after S1 and 400 days was done this company was getting loads of praise for what they had developed because this game was so awesome back then.

I only gave up on the writting team of TWD. But some of the other games are still pretty nice though...

Pre-orders have always been a bad idea to begin with.
I wanted season 2 of tales from the borderlands too... but if they make every sequel worse and worse....

IF the writers aren't responsible for bad writing who is?
It could also be the Telltale executives rushing the writers. You can see lots of employees complaining on glassdoor about this.
I do, I actually enjoyed ANF more than Season 2.
I mean, it seems like everyone is personally attacking the employees now, and I'm sure I'll get a ton of hate for not joining the bandwagon.
We are all waiting for the holy grail that is...TWAU S2.
Tell me who should I blame the most then if you can.
Remember when they implied that Michonne would have some kind of impact, or at least reference from ANF?
I don't mind if you like ANF but what made you enjoy ANF more than Season 2?
I feel cheated from pre-ordering ANF, It's my fault that I trusted them that much, but hey, at least I have every installment of their walking dead series.

no
I liked too the game !
There is alot of stuffs in I don't like but basically I still like play it

Until that game sucks too.

GOTG is the first Telltale game I'm not buying, they've lost my trust to be honest.

Lol as soon as they make a game u guys like u will immediately forgive them.
You don't know that.
Microsoft has made plenty of games I love in the past 2 years but there are still a fuckload of things I despise them for.
I don't care if it's shit, I'm pre-ordering it.
And this is why Telltale will never improve or make high quality games again.
Looking at GotG I think they actually recieved the memo after ANF was such a fail. GotG does everything right impo. They started listening to us and made a great job so far. This is the mentality that ruins quality things. Not just video games too.
In fact i have given them too many chances so no, fuck Telltale and their "now" shit games
