Could Clem even be a lesbian?

Some people are like blah blah clem should have female intrests blah blah but really would she even know what it is? In her mind all she knows is man and woman. Even if she thought a girl was attractive she would probably just think it was a weird thought and push it aside. Plus she is clearly interested in males(Gabe). How would she know what it is? Do you agree?

Also not obsessed just confused on how she would know, please help me understand.

  • Matthew and Walter were gay but idk

  • I don't really get people's fixation on wanting Clem to be a lesbian. People debating over a child's sexuality is a bit fucking weird ngl.

  • She could be and not know it. Also, her being into Gabe doesn't exactly equate to her being into males since he's the only person she seems to have been into so far (and it's not even definite).

  • No and no and endless no I had enough of the bisexual talk about this game, clem just changed her look than boom people start using that look as an bullshit reason for clem to be gay screw that you already had javi for that, than leave clem out of it.

  • Ah bro come fukcing on! Stop using Clem and THAT word together

  • IMO people just think strong female characters should be gay, bi or pan but never straight. My guess is it's to do with the "She don't need no man!" mentality. Or for #represent I suppose.

  • Repeat after me: HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT WRONG, HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT WRONG, HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT WRONG

  • What word? Lesbian? It's not a bad word bro, you can use it.

  • She would know what it is, attraction is attraction. People will cry about pandering if she's anything but straight. It's up to the Devs really I don't mind her sexuality as long as they actually write a good story.

  • She could be an orange for all I care.

  • Might well add javier too that

  • Well, this a fun thread lol.

I think...given the world as it is in TWD...Clementine will probably have lovers of both sexes. People die...she will move on. But the need for intimacy is something she will have to deal with.

  • You right!

  • Disgusting.
This is like a fashion trend to force us again with homosexuality after the bi-sexual bull shit of Javier comming out of nothing after 5 episodes.
Ellie is already lesbian in the last of us. Do they need to make Clem lesbian to be cool or follow this new stupid hype?

  • I know but cmon, seriously? Why would anyone bring this topic up? I've seen many such threads lately

Sounds about right. Probably brought on by the Gabentine stuff.

  • I didn't mind Javi being revealed to be bi. I think people overthink it a little bit. Just think of it as a neat easter egg or just confirmation. It doesn't need to be a big deal. "Javi's bi? that's cool, I didn't know that" It wasn't that big of a deal and I think people are overthinking it.

  • Javi being bi was ok in my opinion. Clem being lesbian would be Telltale trying too hard to appeal to everyone.
Anyway, just like @Batteries said, why are people even arguing about a 13 year old girl's sexuality?

  • Eh, as much as I like LGBT protagonists, it's already kind of cliché... I think I'm fine with her being straight. It's kinda too much of a coincidence. Plus, LGBT people are just 10 per cent or so of the population (sadly), it would be forced to see so many.

Oh c'mon enough with that attitude. I am not against bisexuality (I am not bisexual but I respect it) but does that really necessary? Clem doesnt have to be a lesbian to be more cool. LGBT is not the key for being strong and different. She can be normal and still keep being cool. So, drop it already.

  • She's encountered same-sex couples before like Walter and Matthew. Plus, even if she doesn't know what homosexuality is, it doesn't mean she wouldn't have feelings. I think if Mariana lived, she and Clem would have been a good couple.

  • Better than being a clementine, right?

  • She has been exposed to homossexuality before though (Walter and Matthew, and problably a few others before the Apocalypse), I don't think she would be that confused.

  • In the end does it matter really...I think just with the world she lives in...bisexuality is the most logical outcome. But if she stayed strait I would be happy...or if she went full lesbian I would be happy...

As a bisexual female, I do tend to notice when people think of a woman being gay...there is a part of their mind that thinks they will be man haters. And to be fair...there are so many idiot bitches out there that do not help the situation.

I love men and women. And I of course realize that it biases my thoughts on how Clem would grow...but in the zombie apocalypse...suitable lovers for Clem may be thin on the ground...Gabe was not suitable. There may be a guy or gal out there for Clem...I just want them to be well written...and compliment Clem.

  • While I don't have anything against LGBT, The Last of Us already did something like that with Left Behind. I just don't see how Telltale could pull it off without coming across as unnecessary pandering.

  • Could Clem even be a lesbian?

    Don't do drugs, kids.

  • Well glad to see people agree with the fact that she shouldn't be a lesbian.

  • Hmm well as long as it doesn't force it on us and let's us start the talk of intrest. I do not want to have a girl flirt with Clem, personally, unless I start it first(which I will never).

  • Well nobody here thinks that she doesn't know what a lesbian is.

Well glad to see people agree with the fact that she shouldn't be a lesbian.

  • It should be up to the players. Clem liking gabe wasn't up to the players. And if clem can kiss someone in the game and they bring up her time of the month in the game not to mention that she's a fictional character it's not weird that people are talking about it or want it to happen. I'd like to know why people wouldn't want her to be one. Besides your personal opinion why would it be bad or not good? she could be gay or bisexual. Her being straight in a world like twd is not realistic and it's generic. And I'm sure there are people out there who if they play with a female character would not want to be in romance and or forced romance with a guy and would like the option to be with another female. Clem being bi and you having the option to be with a female would please everyone. They also have jesus flirting with javi and you having the option to flirt back.

  • I'm fine with straight or LGBT*. Whatever they decide I just want it to be well written.

  • You realize relationships are a 2 way street...you cannot just say you do not want someone else to flirt unless you start it first...life does not work that way.

Hmm well as long as it doesn't force it on us and let's us start the talk of intrest. I do not want to have a girl flirt with Clem, personally, unless I start it first(which I will never).

  • Is this what the forums have come to? Was this season so bad that we have nothing left but to focus on this kind of shit? Are we so unhyped for a next installment that this is all that's left to discuss? If so, I'm scared for the future of these forums.

  • Why not just make it the players choice? It was that way during Season 2.

  • Clementine learned survival jutsu from the lesbian-esque Jane.
