I met Melissa Hutchison a few years ago at Walker Stalker con, and along with her signing my Clem hat, I also asked her what the D stands for. She said, and she got this information from either Sean or Jake, that it's supposed to be a Japanese baseball team, but she forgot which one. The closest thing would be a team called the Chunichi Dragons.
I mean it's pretty much exactly like that Japanese hat, and since the VA says so it definitely makes it most likely but then it raises the question. Why did Clem have this hat in Georgia and why did Javier know a non american team? I think maybe the answer to both is Javier played overseas because he started to suck as the game suggested and Clem's mom is Asian. Which she does look Asian in the pictures which would explain why Clem has a lighter complexion even though she has a black dad.

I'm on the opinion that multiple developers at TTG have/had different opinions on Clem's ethnicity, which is probably why people are never going to get a concrete answer in regards to her race. Don't start this again please, Clementine isn't Asian, her character design was based on Derek Sakai's own daughter, that's all.
