Honestly, I'm not gonna torture Abel at all. Yeah, he endlessly chased after us through the woods, carrying a shotgun and firing it at us, but who could blame him? We got his arm cut off. If anything AJ should be the one sitting in that damn chair being interrogated.

Also i'm pretty sure even if he tell where the Delta is, Clem will still want more to keep torture/kill him options rather than kill/spare him options.
He may be worth more alive than dead, although the Delta doesn't seem to value the lives of others on account of them having child soldiers. Still, he could be of some use if he's kept alive.

Exactly my mindset going into this interrogation scene as well. People don't like him, but I'll be damned if he wasn't the toughest guy I've seen in all of these seasons. I'm doing this strictly to sate my curiosity, which is sort of morbid but it's 2019.
Mind you, all of that and he STILL tried to take the fight to Clem. Only reason he stopped was cause he couldn't move a muscle after Rosie turned his arm into a meal. He may be an asshole, but shit that's the kind of guy I'd want on my team if everything went to hell.
It's not like he had the choice to get those injuries or not or commit suicide to avoid the pain. Even tough people dislike feeling extreme pain. Ether he die with a bullet in the head or he die cause of a lack of air in his lungs due to his screams. It's morbid but like you said... It's 2019

I have a feeling that we're going to leave him at the school with Rosie only which gives me an awful feeling that he's going to kill her so I'll end up killing him if it means Rosie or anyone else who stays at the school remains alive by the end of the episode.
