Yup you're right, I meant to say how the choice in episode 3 effects if he appears in episode 4.
However you did just remind me of how they kinda abused Vaughn in Tales with choices that you wouldnt think would effect his screen time, like how trusting Fiona = Vaughn cant speak and not trying to killing Cassius = Vaughn doesnt show up. Kinda similar to how Louis is now for some reason the punching bag.
Ah okay, I hadn't obviously seen all of the changes yet, so that's good. Overall point still stands that Louis got far too much punishment i… moren that episode.
Also, I think you mean Episode 4. In Episode 3, Vaughn is either paralyzed or not, but in Episode 4, he can be around in the beginning if you let Athena kill Cassius.
I can tell they were going for the content of their character. Louis relies on his talkativeness to stay afloat in the era they live in now. Cut that away (literally) and you've basically stripped him of what kept him going. It wouldn't be the same with Vi, no matter what body part you cut off, because she doesn't use that to stay afloat in the apocalypse. So cutting something off from her just wouldn't have that same impact. So her abandonment issue serves her better here.
Spoilers below:
I wasnt really a fan of how they treat Violet over Louis. It seems uneven. However just so you know the dance scene repla… moreces the "date" scene with Louis, they dont dance at the party so theres no unevenness there or anything.
That being said it feels off making it so if Violet gets taken away shes just sad, but Louis gets mutilated, I mean Louis can also loose his finger. Im not sure why they made it so no harm can come to Violet at all but Louis is the one with body parts coming off. Im hoping theres some sort of real consequence for not saving Violet because right now it seems really unbalanced that if you let Louis get taken he cant even talk anymore. (kinda reminds me of Tales ep 3 how Vaughn doesnt show up based on a choice you wouldnt think involves Vaugh, granted this choice does involve Louis and Violet but you'd expect somewhat similar treatment to the characters to balance out both choices coming with real consequence.)
It hurts a bit more when you romance Louis and let him get captured. Clem is visibly and audibly more shaken up by the fact if you go that route. Caught that on TmarTn2's video.
You're right, that just hurt me even more. Her reaction when you don't romance him hurts, but in this one, it sounds like she's almost crying. It's still so fucked up, but at the same time, I appreciate that subtle change based on your choices. It could have been so easy for the reaction to be exactly the same, considering there's only a small group of people who romanced Louis and let him get captured. Instead, they made some small changes to reflect your choices, I can respect that.

I also love how actually slapping Louis actually gets him focused and Clem is just like "Huh, that actually worked?" Lol life can't be easy without this fool.

I was a little mad at how Violet was somewhat favoured over Louis, but everything all balanced out in the end when it turns out that Violet is a dick if you choose to leave her. It isn’t even over Minerva either because of what she does if you DID save her. This is a strong win for the Louine gang

I just found out that, originally, Louis was only going to be gagged in Episode 3, but then they changed it to him having his tongue cut out later. You bastards are cruel.

I know I'm going to enter Petty Bitch territory, but the fact that we surpassed the Violentine thread in views brought a smile to my face. I know, I know, it doesn't have to be a "them vs us", but they've really been dominating us in views since DAY 1 and I won't lie, it feels good to have it in our favour for once lol.
And dude. As if i needed more fuel for this ship. Louis has been absolutely charming this episode, him planning the first date with Clem by bringing a candle and a bag of pretzels?? Tell me if that's not the cutest shit lol. And I am once again amazed by the Heart of Gold this boy has: Violet didn't have her body mutilated, didn't go through TRAUMA and she is so angry because you didn't save her (not even stopping to think that we had to make an impossible choice in an impossible situation), but when the roles are reversed and it's Louis instead of her, what does he do? He has absolutely no outward anger and literally throws himself in your arms. It doesn't even matter that we indirectly put him in this situation - He is wretched with sobs but he cares about Clem to the point where he's even smiling. He can't speak anymore. Remember that this is the guy who values singing so much he ruined his parents' marriage because of it, yet he puts on a smile for Clem.
I just. Louis all the way dude, Violentine who I don't know her.
I always disliked Violet and her Episode 3 behaviour just assured me that I was right all along the way. Views aren't important buddy. Clouis was the best ship since the beginning, it is the best ship now and it will be the best ship till the end - no matter if Louis will be talking or writing his joke on a piece of paper.
Generaly whole Clouis ship provides people laugh, smile. And for Clem and Louis it's something worth living for. Can't really say the same about this pathetic Violetine relationship. Basically "let's cut our wrists and let's die together" chemistry.

Probably because there's usually something interesting and/or enjoyable going on here beyond the shipping stuff, though that is common as per the purpose.

However there's this amazing artist who drew something before then, I posted her art here before (with credit of course) but only a while back did I realize that in her bio she doesn't want her art reposted, I can't tell whether that means just without credit, but to respect her wishes will link it here

I’m sorry, I just had to share it, it was really emotional.
Is this if you romanced him and he get's captured?...

I'm curious if the same treatment was given to Violet. I'd have to find out

holy shit can you link me the one when you romance him but let him get captured?

Yea I would also like to see it
He already linked it over in the details thread
I guess R.i.P to all the people that romanced Louis and then saved Violet(((
It hurst me as hell to even see this scene. Even though it's non-canon, still seeing something like this. A one big fucking huge tragedy.
And I thought my love for Louis couldn't get any bigger. He was amazing in this ep aaaaa
@Erinour Here you guys are.
that was so, fucking sad I'll consider from now saving louis(and romancing him) as canon so hard
What's canon is what you had in your first playthrough to be honest. I still can't erase this scene from my mind. Poor Louis.
I just found out that, originally, Louis was only going to be gagged in Episode 3, but then they changed it to him having his tongue cut out later. You bastards are cruel.
Fuckers.
I'd rather have him gagged. the fuck?
why in the actual fuck did they change it to tongue cutting out?? Gag would've been just enough.
W-what?? What kind of monsters would pick mutilation over gagging???
Writers are the true antagonists of this story.
I was kinda hoping the playthrough I saw had picked that.
Because shock.
Also, "This is an authentic Walking Dead story."
Kinda realized as well they could've of used it to stop the bleeding or hide it at least

Let's light a candle for our brother guys. [*]
Tonguless or not, remember - Clouis is still the best ship.
