They are not professional enough to handle multiple releases.. Case and point .. It was the first time I was actually interested enough in a Telltale game to actually buy it upfront. I am quite disapointed in the experience. Obviously, they are having trouble with everything on their plate, and probably should either dial it down, hire new people or even stop using the episodic format, because currently, it's not working at all.
Agreed. Hire new, more capable people. Rethink how to treat your customers by keeping them informed. And list realistic ETA's on release. Something more concrete! Outside of that.. The only other alternative Would have to be, that they move away from episodic format.. Cause if they make people wait too long between releases.. It moves past giving us time to discuss it, and into angry towards delays.. Thus forgetting how it made us feel in the first place, when we played it.
Apparently the majority feel this way, cause I've seen nothing but everyone saying the same thing over and over again.. With a few hold-outs still supporting Telltale's way of doing things.. Which leads me to believe half of them are probably just staff.. There are so few that are not angry about what has happened in some way or another.

What an interesting theory. People on the forum guessed the killer right, so Telltale rewrote the entire series to change te killer, hence taking double the time for the episode.

This is a major letdown. Poor communication combined with sales already after the release of one episode or none at all if you take TWD2 into account.
Just talk to us, keep the people informed. It's not hard and it pays off. Don't be EA.
I'm pretty fine with the delay, actually. TWAU isn't the only thing on my plate. TWD S2 is coming, plus I'm playing Super Mario 3D Land, Wind Waker HD, and going to start A Link Between Worlds pretty soon. There's plenty of other stuff out there, considering its near Christmas, AKA the time video game companies release quite a few games.
Plus, we don't even know exactly what happened. There could've been a hacking, a massive file deletion, even a death. We really shouldn't be badgering on Tell-Tale until we know the full story. And if they don't want to tell us, that's their prerogative
Hope and patience has made a valuable ally in search of episode 2. The end is in sight now. All I need to do now is wait and I shall reap my reward. Although the night will be the hardest part before release. If even a second longer of waiting our humble little community could explode into chaos.

There is no update. The update is "some guys appearing in this episode and we will tell your more after the holidays". For them to call that a… moren update is pure bullcrap. This episodic release thing is a scam to get more money and nothing more. I will not be buying any more games from them. I can pirate them just as easily when they are done with the episodes. Great games and terrible service lead to a less loyal fanbase. Learn to release a FULL GAME TTG!

I have to be honest, i loved the game when i first got my season pass on psn, but the level of shoddy customer service has me fuming, we have had pretty poor coms as to why ep2 is taking so long, we get a frankly daft pre announcement yesterday, getting everybodys hopes up, then what do we get today? We get pretty much blown off, so we wont hear squat till maybe the 2nd week of jan, this is garbage, i feel like i have been conned and i really want a refund but i guess there's fat chance of that, not while TTG are bloody profiting off us people who in good faith purchased a product seeming TTG can't produce

We're getting a lot of new members this weekend who are making entire new threads about the release date and lack of communication. We usually would have merged these threads into the release date thread to preserve these statements, but unfortunately the new forum's present tools do not allow merging the first post of a new thread into another.
To keep discussion about the game and not its release schedule possible, and to not let the entire forum overflow with negativity and - certainly justified! - anger, we will have to close these threads.
I'd like to add that I am often impressed with the calm and reasoning of these new threads and new and old members. I do not only respect these opinions, I share a lot of them as well.

The worst thing is that we have no guarantee that the game will be released in January.I mean,they said they were going to give us other updates but not a release date.It could very well be another "coming soon" or new screenshots.What if they get another delay? We could have to wait until February.After that,nothing will surprise me anymore.Looking back,it's as if episode one was just a demo and the actual game wasn't ready yet.I would have preferred them to finish the work on all episodes before releasing the first one.And most importantly,I would like them to tell us what caused this delay.I believe that as customers it is our right to know about it.
