I can see Nate putting a gun in Clems hand and try to make her shoot somebody, and I can see Clem turning the gun on Nate and shooting him instead. And feeling guilty afterwards.
Remember, we don't know anything about Nate before the events of 400 days, and one of his friends was killed right in front of him by Eddie, which probably made him lose it a little bit. I think she could change him.
To be fair, we don't know what Nate was like Pre-murder of his friend that eddie shot so he could of been 'sain' at one point. If he was good friends with whoever got shot in real life that'd effect you pretty bad.
It would have been really interesting. I think I agree with the whole, he would have manipulated her with her parents and forced her to stay with him. But she's a kid, and we know next to nothing about Nate. Maybe he would have taken care of her, maybe he would have pawned her off as soon as he could. Either way, I think she would have survived (him, too) if he taught her how he knew how to handle things. He was built for the apocalypse, and in times like that you cannot be a lovable, forgiving person. You can't just let everyone live, people have to die, whether they've done something against you or not. (In Nate's defense, the old couple /did/ shoot at them) I think in season 2, Clem would be pretty much the same. Obviously, Omid and Christa have taught her how to harden her soul and heart, whether she wanted to or not. She's not that scared to speak her mind, she's barely even a child now. If Nate had taught her, though, I think she'd be just under bandit-level of surviving.
That all being said, I hope he shows up in Season 2 at some point. I'd really love some interaction. I'd hate it if it we had the option to kill him, though, unless it was a quick time event. Ah well, I'll stop rambling and let everyone get back to the topic.

Okay let me set the record straight here. Nate is like Negan from the comics but much nicer. Nate might be a crazy dude but theres reasons for… more that. His friend was killed by Eddie in cold blood in front of him. That type of stuff is enough to make a person crazy. If he was really crazy he would have killed Russel but he didn't. Russel was like a new friend to him., He does crazy stuff to survive. he wouldn't rape or kill clem. He would just try to make her do crazy stuff. He's a cool guy but contradicts himself. He talks about he doesn't like thieves or gang members but he killed and robbed the old people. Nate would probably be Clem's new friend. That could be Nate's body in the snow for episode 5.
